所以，既然你们已经与基督一同复活，就当求上面的事；那里有基督，坐在神的右边。
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2你们要思考上面的事，不要思考地上的事。Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3因为你们已经死了，你们的生命与基督一同藏在神里面。For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4基督是你们的生命，他显现的时候，你们也要与他一同在荣耀里显现。When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5所以，要治死你们在地上的肢体；就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪婪—贪婪就是拜偶像。Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6因这些事，神的愤怒必临到那些悖逆的人☛“必临到…的人”：有古卷是“必来临”。。For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7当你们在这些事中活着的时候，你们的行为也曾是这样的。In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8但现在你们要弃绝这一切的事，就是恼恨、愤怒、恶毒、毁谤和口中污秽的言语。But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9不要彼此说谎，因为你们已经脱去旧人和旧人的行为，Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10穿上了新人，这新人照着造他的主的形像在知识上不断地更新。And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11在这事上并不分希腊人和犹太人，受割礼的和未受割礼的，未开化的人、西古提人、为奴的、自主的；惟独基督是一切，又在一切之内。Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12所以，你们既是神的选民，圣洁、蒙爱的人，要穿上怜悯、恩慈、谦虚、温柔和忍耐。Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13倘若这人与那人有嫌隙，总要彼此容忍，彼此饶恕；主☛有古卷是“基督”。怎样饶恕了你们，你们也要怎样饶恕人。Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14除此以外，还要穿上爱心，因为爱是贯通全德的。And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15你们要让基督所赐的和平在你们心里作主，也为此蒙召，归为一体。你们还要存感谢的心。And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16当用各样的智慧，把基督的道丰丰富富的存在心里，用诗篇、赞美诗、灵歌，彼此教导，互相劝戒，以感恩的心歌颂神。Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17你们无论做什么，或说话或行事，都要奉主耶稣的名，藉着他感谢父神。新生活的本分
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
18你们作妻子的，要顺服自己的丈夫，这在主里面是合宜的。Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
19你们作丈夫的，要爱你们的妻子，不可虐待她们。Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
20你们作儿女的，要凡事听从父母，因为这是主所喜悦的。Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
21你们作父亲的，不要惹儿女生气，恐怕他们会灰心。Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
22你们作仆人的，要凡事听从你们肉身的主人，不要只在眼前服事，像是讨人喜欢的，总要心存诚实，因为你们敬畏主。Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
23你们无论做什么，都要从心里做，像是为主做的，不是为人做的；And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24因为你们知道，从主那里必得着基业作为赏赐。你们要服侍的是主基督。Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25行不义的人必受不义的报应；主并不偏待人。But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
