示巴女王拜访所罗门
（代下9．1－12）
示巴女王听见所罗门因耶和华的名所得的名声，就来要用难题考问所罗门。
And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
2她带着很多的随从来到耶路撒冷，有骆驼驮着香料、极多金子和宝石。她来到所罗门那里，向他提出心中所有的问题。And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
3所罗门回答了她所有的问题，没有一个问题太难，王不能向她解答的。And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not.
4示巴女王看见所罗门一切的智慧，和他所建造的宫殿，And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,
5席上的食物，坐着的群臣，侍立的仆人，他们的服装，和他的司酒长，以及他在耶和华殿里所献的燔祭☛“他在耶和华...燔祭”或译“他上耶和华殿的台阶”。，就诧异得神不守舍。And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
6她对王说：“我在本国所听到的话，论到你的事和你的智慧是真的！And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.
7我本来不信那些话，及至我来亲眼看见了，看哪，人所告诉我的还不到一半，你的智慧和你的福分超过我所听见的传闻。Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
8你的人☛“你的人”：七十士译本和其他古译本是“你的后妃”。是有福的！你这些仆人常侍立在你面前、听你智慧的话是有福的！Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.
9耶和华－你的神是应当称颂的！他喜爱你，使你坐以色列的王位，因为他永远爱以色列，所以立你作王，使你秉公行义。”Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.
10于是，示巴女王把一百二十他连得金子、极多的香料和宝石送给所罗门王；送来的香料，从来没有像示巴女王送给他的那么多。And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
11希兰的船只也从俄斐运了金子来，又从俄斐运了许多檀香木和宝石来。And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.
12王用檀香木为耶和华的殿和王宫做栏杆，又为歌唱的人做琴瑟。以后再没有这样的檀香木运进来，也再没有人见过，直到如今。And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king's house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.
13所罗门王除了照自己的厚意馈赠示巴女王之外，凡她所提出的一切要求，所罗门王都送给她。于是女王和她臣仆转回，到本国去了。所罗门的财富

And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.
14所罗门每年所得的金子，重六百六十六他连得；Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,
15另外还有来自商人☛“商人”：原文直译“商人的人”或“商人的税金”；七十士译本是“臣民的贡品”。和做生意的商品，以及阿拉伯诸王和各地省长的。Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.
16所罗门王用锤出来的金子打成二百面盾牌，每面盾牌用六百舍客勒金子；And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.
17又用锤出来的金子打成三百面小盾牌，每面小盾牌用三弥那金子。王把它们放在黎巴嫩林宫里。And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
18王又制造一个大的象牙宝座，包上纯金。Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.
19宝座有六层台阶，座的后背是圆的，座位之处两旁有扶手，靠近扶手有两只狮子站立。The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.
20六层台阶上有十二只狮子站立，分站左边和右边；任何国度都没有这样做的。And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.
21所罗门王一切的饮器都是金的，黎巴嫩林宫里所有的器皿都是纯金的。在所罗门的日子，银子算不了什么。And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
22王有他施船只与希兰的船只一同航海，他施船只每三年一次把金、银、象牙、猿猴、孔雀☛“孔雀”或译“狒狒”。运回来。For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
23所罗门王的财宝与智慧胜过地上的众王。So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.
24全地都求见所罗门的面，要听神放在他心里的智慧。And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
25他们各带贡物，就是银器、金器、衣服、兵器、香料、马、骡子，每年都有一定的数量。所罗门的兵力和财力

And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
26所罗门聚集战车骑兵；他有一千四百辆战车，一万二千名骑兵，安置在屯车城，在耶路撒冷的王那里。And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.
27王在耶路撒冷使银子多如石头，香柏木多如谢非拉☛“谢非拉”是音译，意思是“低地”。的桑树。And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.
28所罗门的马是从埃及☛“埃及”不是南方的埃及，而是美索不达米亚北方的一国；下同。和科威☛“科威”可能是“基利亚”，是北方埃及的邻国；下同。运来的，是王的商人按着定价从科威买来的。And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.
29从埃及进口的战车，每辆六百舍客勒银子，马每匹一百五十舍客勒；赫人众王和亚兰诸王的战车和马，也是经由他们的手出口的。And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
