扫罗的后代被处死
大卫在位年间有饥荒，一连三年，大卫求问耶和华，耶和华说：“扫罗和他家犯了流人血之罪，因为他杀死了基遍人。”
Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
2大卫王召了基遍人来，跟他们说话。基遍人不是以色列人，而是亚摩利人中所剩下的人。以色列人曾向他们起誓，扫罗却为以色列人和犹大人大发热心，追杀他们，为了要消灭他们。And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
3大卫对基遍人说：“我当为你们做什么呢？要用什么赎这罪，使你们为耶和华的产业祝福呢？”Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
4基遍人对他说：“我们和扫罗以及他家的事与金银无关，也不要因我们的缘故杀任何以色列人。”大卫说：“你们怎样说，我就为你们怎样做。”And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
5他们对王说：“那谋害我们、要消灭我们、使我们不得住以色列境内的人，And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,
6请把他的子孙七人交给我们，我们好在耶和华面前，把他们悬挂在基比亚，就是耶和华拣选扫罗的地方。”王说：“我必交给你们。”Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.
7王顾惜扫罗的孙子，约拿单的儿子米非波设，因为在大卫和扫罗的儿子约拿单之间，有指着耶和华的誓言。But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
8王却把爱亚的女儿利斯巴为扫罗所生的两个儿子亚摩尼和米非波设，以及扫罗的女儿米拉☛“米拉”是根据有些古卷和其他古译本；原文是“米甲”。为米何拉人巴西莱儿子亚得列所生的五个儿子But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
9交在基遍人的手里。基遍人在耶和华面前把他们悬挂在山上，这七人就一起死了。他们被杀的时候正是收割的头几天，就是开始收割大麦的时候。And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
10爱亚的女儿利斯巴用麻布铺在磐石上搭棚，从收割的开始直到天降雨在尸体上，她白日不许空中的飞鸟落在尸体上，夜间不让田野的走兽前来。And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
11有人把扫罗的妃子爱亚女儿利斯巴所做的事告诉大卫。And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
12大卫就去，从基列的雅比人那里把扫罗和他儿子约拿单的骸骨搬来。先前非利士人在基利波杀了扫罗，把尸体悬挂在伯．珊的广场上，后来基列的雅比人把尸体偷走。And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:
13大卫把扫罗和他儿子约拿单的骸骨从那里搬上来，又收殓了被悬挂的那些人的骸骨。And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.
14他们将扫罗和他儿子约拿单的骸骨葬在便雅悯的洗拉，在扫罗父亲基士的坟墓里。他们遵照王所吩咐的一切做了。此后神垂听了为那地的祈求。攻打非利士巨人

And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.
15非利士人与以色列人打仗。大卫带领仆人下去，与非利士人交战，大卫就疲乏了。Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.
16巨人族的后裔以实．比诺说要杀大卫；他的铜枪重三百舍客勒，腰间又佩着新刀☛原文没有“刀”。。And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.
17但洗鲁雅的儿子亚比筛帮助大卫攻击非利士人，杀死了他。当日，大卫的人向大卫起誓说：“你不可再与我们一同出战，免得以色列的灯熄灭了。”But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.
18后来，在歌伯又与非利士人打仗，那时户沙人西比该杀了巨人族的后裔撒弗。And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
19他们又在歌伯与非利士人打仗，伯利恒人雅雷☛“雅雷”：原文是“雅雷．俄珥金”；原文另译“睚珥”；参代上20．5。的儿子伊勒哈难杀了迦特人歌利亚；这人的枪杆粗如织布机的轴。And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
20又有一次，他们在迦特打仗。那里有一个身材高大的人，双手各有六根手指，双脚各有六根脚趾，共有二十四根；他也是巨人族的后裔。And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
21他向以色列骂阵，大卫的哥哥示米亚的儿子约拿单就杀了他。And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him.
22这四个人是迦特巨人族的后裔，都仆倒在大卫和他仆人的手下。These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
