希西家病重康复
（赛38．1－8，21－22；代下32．24－26）
那些日子，希西家病得要死，亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚先知来见他，对他说：“耶和华如此说：‘你当留遗嘱给你的家，因为你必死，不能活了。’”
In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
2希西家转脸朝墙，向耶和华祷告说：Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,
3“耶和华啊，求你记念我在你面前怎样存完全的心，按诚实行事，又做你眼中看为善的事。”希西家就痛哭。I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4以赛亚出来，还没有离开中院，耶和华的话就临到他，说：And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
5“你回去告诉我百姓的君王希西家说：耶和华－你祖先大卫的神如此说：‘我听见了你的祷告，看见了你的眼泪。看哪，我必医治你；到第三日，你必上到耶和华的殿。Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.
6我必加添你十五年的寿数，并且我要救你和这城脱离亚述王的手。我为自己和我仆人大卫的缘故，必保护这城。’”And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
7以赛亚说：“取一块无花果饼来。”人就取了来，贴在疮上，王就痊愈了。And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
8希西家对以赛亚说：“耶和华必医治我，到第三日我能上耶和华的殿，有什么预兆呢？”And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?
9以赛亚说：“耶和华必成就他所说的这话。这是耶和华给你的预兆：你要日影向前进十度呢？或是要往后退十度呢？”And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
10希西家说：“日影向前进十度容易；不，让日影往后退十度吧。”And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.
11以赛亚先知求告耶和华，耶和华就使亚哈斯日晷上照下来的日影，往后退了十度。巴比伦来的使者

And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.
12那时，巴拉但的儿子，巴比伦王米罗达．巴拉但听见希西家生病了，就送书信和礼物给他。At that time Berodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.
13希西家听使者的话☛“听使者的话”：有古卷、七十士译本和其他古译本是“因他们而欢喜”。，就将自己一切宝库里的金子、银子、香料、贵重的膏油和他军械库里的兵器，以及他所有的财宝，都给他们看；在他家中和全国之内，希西家没有一样东西不给他们看的。And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
14于是以赛亚先知到希西家王那里去，对他说：“这些人说了些什么？他们从哪里来见你？”希西家说：“他们从远方的巴比伦来。”Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.
15以赛亚说：“他们在你家里看见了什么？”希西家说：“凡我家中所有的，他们都看见了；我财宝中没有一样东西不给他们看的。”And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.
16以赛亚对希西家说：“你要听耶和华的话：And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.
17耶和华说：‘看哪，日子将到，凡你家里所有的，并你祖先积蓄到如今的一切，都要被掳到巴比伦去，不留下一样；Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
18从你本身所生的孩子，其中必有被掳到巴比伦王宫当太监的。’”And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
19希西家对以赛亚说：“你所说耶和华的话甚好。”因为他想：“在我有生之年岂不是有太平和安稳吗？”希西家逝世

Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?
20希西家其余的事和他一切英勇的事迹，他怎样造池、挖沟、引水入城，不都写在《犹大列王记》上吗？And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
21希西家与他祖先同睡，他儿子玛拿西接续他作王。And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
