米迦的偶像
以法莲山区有一个人，名叫米迦。
And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah.
2他对母亲说：“你的一千一百块银子被人拿走了，为此你发咒起誓，也说给我听。看哪，银子在我这里，是我拿的。”他母亲说：“愿我儿蒙耶和华赐福！”And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son.
3米迦把这一千一百块银子还他母亲。他母亲说：“我把这银子分别为圣，亲手献给耶和华，为我儿子造一尊雕刻的像，以及一尊铸成的像。现在我把银子交给你。”And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee.
4米迦把银子还他母亲，他母亲把二百块银子交给银匠，去造一尊雕刻的像，以及一尊铸成的像，安置在米迦的房子里。Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah.
5米迦这个人有了神堂，又造了以弗得和家中的神像，派他的一个儿子作祭司。And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
6那时，以色列中没有王，各人照自己眼中看为对的去做。In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
7犹大的伯利恒有一个年轻人，是犹大族的人。他是利未人，寄居在那里。And there was a young man out of Bethlehemjudah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there.
8这人离开犹大的伯利恒城，要找一个可住的地方。他来到以法莲山区米迦的家，还要往前走。And the man departed out of the city from Bethlehemjudah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed.
9米迦对他说：“你从哪里来？”他说：“我从犹大的伯利恒来。我是利未人，要找一个可住的地方。”And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I am a Levite of Bethlehemjudah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place.
10米迦说：“你就住在我这里吧！我以你为父为祭司，每年给你十块银子和一套衣服，以及生活所需的食物。”利未人就来了。And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.
11利未人愿意和这人同住；他待这年轻人如自己的儿子一样。And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.
12米迦授这年轻的利未人祭司的职任，他就住在米迦的家里。And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
13米迦说：“现在我知道耶和华必恩待我，因为我有利未人作我的祭司。”Then said Micah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.
