吕便的后裔
以色列的长子吕便的后裔。吕便玷污了父亲的床，他长子的名分就归了以色列的儿子约瑟的后裔；因此，家谱就不按出生顺序登录。
Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2虽然犹大比他兄弟强盛，君王也从他而出，然而长子的名分却归约瑟。For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)
3以色列长子吕便的后裔如下：哈诺、法路、希斯伦和迦米。The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
4约珥的后裔：他的儿子示玛雅，他的儿子歌革，他的儿子示每，The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
5他的儿子米迦，他的儿子利亚雅，他的儿子巴力，Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
6他的儿子备拉；这备拉作吕便支派的领袖，被亚述王提革拉．毗列色掳去。Beerah his son, whom Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
7他的弟兄照着宗族，按着家谱作族长的是耶利、撒迦利雅、And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
8比拉；比拉是亚撒的儿子，亚撒是示玛的儿子，示玛是约珥的儿子；约珥住在亚罗珥，直到尼波和巴力．免。And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baalmeon:
9他也住在东边，直到幼发拉底河这边的旷野边界，因为他们在基列地牲畜增多。And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
10扫罗年间，他们与夏甲人争战，夏甲人倒在他们手下，他们就在基列东边的全地，住在夏甲人的帐棚里。迦得的后裔
And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
11迦得的后裔在吕便对面，住在巴珊地，延伸到撒迦：And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salcah:
12有作族长的约珥，有作副族长的沙番，还有雅乃和住在巴珊的沙法。Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13按着家族，他们的弟兄是米迦勒、米书兰、示巴、约赖、雅干、细亚和希伯，共七人。And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
14这些都是亚比孩的儿子；亚比孩是户利的儿子，户利是耶罗亚的儿子，耶罗亚是基列的儿子，基列是米迦勒的儿子，米迦勒是耶示筛的儿子，耶示筛是耶哈多的儿子，耶哈多是布斯的儿子；These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
15古尼的孙子，押比叠的儿子亚希是他们的族长。Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
16他们住在基列、巴珊和所属的乡镇，以及沙仑一切的郊野，直到四围的交界。And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
17这些人在犹大王约坦和以色列王耶罗波安年间，都载入家谱。吕便迦得玛拿西族的军队
All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18吕便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人，能拿盾牌和刀剑、拉弓、出征善战的勇士共有四万四千七百六十名。The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19他们与夏甲人、伊突人、拿非施人、挪答人打仗。And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20他们在打仗的时候得了神的帮助，夏甲人和所有跟随夏甲人的人都交在他们手中；因为他们在阵上呼求神，倚赖他，他就应允他们。And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21他们掳掠了夏甲人的牲畜，有五万匹骆驼，二十五万只羊，二千匹驴，又有十万人；And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22被杀仆倒的很多，因为这战争是出乎神。他们就住在夏甲人的地上，直到被掳的时候。玛拿西半支派
For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
23玛拿西半支派的人住在那地，从巴珊延到巴力．黑门、示尼珥和黑门山，他们人数增多☛“人数增多”：七十士译本是“他们在黎巴嫩人数增多”。。And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baalhermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
24他们的族长如下：以弗、以示、以利业、亚斯列、耶利米、何达威雅和雅叠；他们都是大能的勇士，有名的人，是作族长的。And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
25但他们得罪了他们列祖的神，随从当地百姓的神明而行淫，这百姓就是神在他们面前所除灭的。And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
26因此，以色列的神激发亚述王普勒，就是亚述王提革拉．毗列色的心，他掳掠了吕便人、迦得人、玛拿西半支派的人，把他们带到哈腊、哈博、哈拉☛七十士译本没有“哈拉”。与歌散河边，直到今日。And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
