犹大王亚哈谢
（王下8．25－29；9．21－28）
耶路撒冷的居民立约兰的小儿子亚哈谢接续他作王，因为跟随阿拉伯人来攻营的军兵把亚哈谢所有的兄长都杀了；犹大王约兰的儿子亚哈谢就作了王。
And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.
2亚哈谢登基的时候年四十二岁☛“四十二岁”：王下8．26是“二十二岁”。，在耶路撒冷作王一年。他母亲名叫亚她利雅，是暗利的孙女。Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.
3亚哈谢也行亚哈家的道，因为他母亲给他主谋，使他行恶。He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly.
4他行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，像亚哈家一样；因他父亲死后，他们给他主谋，使他败坏。Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction.
5他也听从他们的计谋，与以色列王亚哈的儿子约兰同往基列的拉末去，与亚兰王哈薛交战。亚兰人打伤了约兰，He walked also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramothgilead: and the Syrians smote Joram.

And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, because he was sick.
7亚哈谢去见约兰而遇害，这是出乎神；因为他一到就同约兰出去攻击宁示的孙子耶户；这耶户是耶和华所膏，使他剪除亚哈家的。And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.
8耶户向亚哈家施行惩罚的时候，遇见犹大的众领袖和亚哈谢的侄子们正服事亚哈谢，就把他们都杀了。And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them.
9亚哈谢躲在撒玛利亚，耶户寻找他，众人把他拿住，送到耶户那里，就杀了他。他们把他埋葬，因他们说，他是那尽心寻求耶和华之约沙法的儿子。这样，亚哈谢的家无力保住国权。亚她利雅篡位

And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.
10亚哈谢的母亲亚她利雅见她儿子死了，就起来剿灭犹大王室所有的后裔。But when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah.
11但王的女儿约示巴将亚哈谢的儿子约阿施从那被杀的王子中偷出来，把他和他的奶妈藏在卧房里。约示巴是约兰王的女儿，亚哈谢的妹妹，祭司耶何耶大的妻子。她藏了约阿施，躲避亚她利雅，免受杀害。But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
12亚她利雅治理这地的时候，约阿施和他们一同在神殿里藏了六年。And he was with them hid in the house of God six years: and Athaliah reigned over the land.
