犹大王亚哈斯
（王下16．1－4）
亚哈斯登基的时候年二十岁，在耶路撒冷作王十六年。他不像他祖先大卫行耶和华眼中看为正的事，
Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:
2却行以色列诸王的道，又铸造诸巴力的像，For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim.
3照着耶和华从以色列人面前赶出的外邦人所行可憎的事，在欣嫩子谷烧香，用火焚烧他的儿女，Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
4又在丘坛上、山冈上、各青翠树下献祭烧香。He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
5耶和华－他的神将他交在亚兰王手里。亚兰王打败他，从他掳走了许多人，带到大马士革去。神又将他交在以色列王手里，以色列王向他大行杀戮。Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
6利玛利的儿子比加一日之内在犹大杀了十二万人，都是勇士，因为他们离弃了耶和华－他们列祖的神。For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one day, which were all valiant men; because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.
7有一个叫细基利的以法莲勇士，杀了玛西雅王子、押斯利甘宫廷总管和以利加拿宰相。先知俄德
And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king.
8以色列人掳了他们的弟兄，连妇人带儿女共二十万，又掠取了许多财物，把这些掠物带到撒玛利亚去。And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
9但那里有耶和华的一个先知，名叫俄德，出来迎接往撒玛利亚去的军兵，对他们说：“看哪，耶和华－你们列祖的神恼怒犹大人，将他们交在你们手里，你们竟怒气冲天，向他们大行杀戮。But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.
10如今你们又有意强逼犹大人和耶路撒冷人作你们的奴婢，你们岂不是也得罪了耶和华－你们的神吗？And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God?
11现在你们当听我说，要将从你们弟兄中掳来的释放回去，因耶和华的烈怒已临到你们了。”Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the LORD is upon you.
12于是，以法莲人的几个领袖，就是约哈难的儿子亚撒利雅、米实利末的儿子比利家、沙龙的儿子耶希西家、哈得莱的儿子亚玛撒，起来拦阻从战场上回来的人，Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,
13对他们说：“你们不可把这些被掳的人带到这里，因我们已经得罪耶和华了。你们还想加增我们的罪恶过犯吗？因为我们的罪过深重，已经有烈怒临到以色列了。”And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.
14于是带兵器的人将掳来的人口和掠取的财物都留在众领袖和全会众面前。So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation.
15以上提名的那些人就起来，照顾被掳的人；其中凡赤身的，就从所掠取的财物中拿出衣服和鞋来，给他们穿，又给他们吃喝，用膏抹他们；其中凡软弱的，就使他们骑驴，送到棕树城耶利哥他们弟兄那里。然后，他们就回撒玛利亚去了。亚哈斯向亚述王求援
（王下16．7－9）
And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.
16那时，亚哈斯王派人去求亚述诸王☛“诸王”：有古卷、七十士译本和其他古译本是“王”；参王下16．7。来帮助他，At that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
17因为以东人又来攻击犹大，掳掠俘虏。For again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives.
18非利士人也来侵占谢非拉和犹大的尼革夫☛“尼革夫”是音译，意思是“旷野干旱的地方”，指“南方之地”。的城镇，攻取了伯．示麦、亚雅仑、基低罗、梭哥和所属的乡镇、亭拿和所属的乡镇、瑾锁和所属的乡镇，就住在那里。The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low country, and of the south of Judah, and had taken Bethshemesh, and Ajalon, and Gederoth, and Shocho with the villages thereof, and Timnah with the villages thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they dwelt there.
19因为以色列☛“以色列”：有古卷、七十士译本和其他古译本是“犹大”。王亚哈斯在犹大放肆，大大干犯耶和华，所以耶和华使犹大卑微。For the LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the LORD.
20亚述王提革拉．毗列色来攻击他，不帮助他，反倒欺负他。And Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.
21亚哈斯从耶和华殿里和王宫中，以及众领袖家中取财宝送给亚述王，也无济于事。亚哈斯的罪行
For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not.
22这亚哈斯王在急难的时候，越发得罪耶和华。And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz.
23他向那攻击他的大马士革的神明献祭，说：“因为亚兰王的神明帮助他们，我也要向这些神明献祭，好让它们帮助我。”但那些神明却使他和全以色列败亡。For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
24亚哈斯聚集神殿里的器皿，把神殿里的器皿都打碎了，并且封锁耶和华殿的门，又在耶路撒冷各处的转角为自己建筑祭坛。And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
25他在犹大各城建立丘坛，向别神烧香，惹耶和华－他列祖的神发怒。And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers.
26亚哈斯其余的事和他一切的行为，自始至终，看哪，都写在《犹大和以色列诸王记》上。Now the rest of his acts and of all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
27亚哈斯与他祖先同睡，葬在耶路撒冷城里，却没有送入以色列诸王的坟墓。他的儿子希西家接续他作王。And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem: but they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
