所罗门的成就
（王上9．10－28）
所罗门建造耶和华的殿和王宫，用了二十年才完成。
And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,
2所罗门修筑希兰送给他的城镇，使以色列人住在那里。That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
3所罗门往哈马．琐巴去，攻取了那地方。And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.
4所罗门建造旷野的达莫，建造哈马一切的储货城，And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
5又建造上伯．和仑、下伯．和仑，成为有墙、门、闩的堡垒城。Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
6所罗门建造巴拉和一切的储货城、战车城、战马城，以及他所想要建造的，在耶路撒冷、黎巴嫩，和自己所治理全国中的一切建设。And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
7至于所有剩下的百姓，不属以色列的赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,
8那些以色列人在当地不能灭尽的人，所罗门征召他们剩下的后代服劳役，直到今日。But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
9惟有以色列人，所罗门不使他们当奴仆做工，而是作他的战士、军官、战车长、骑兵长。But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
10这些是所罗门王的监工，共有二百五十名百姓的监工。And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
11所罗门把法老的女儿迁出大卫城，上到他为她建造的宫里，因所罗门说：“耶和华约柜所到之处都是圣地，所以我的妻子不可住在以色列王大卫的宫里。”And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.
12那时，所罗门在走廊前他所筑的耶和华的坛上，向耶和华献燔祭，Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
13又遵照摩西的吩咐，在安息日、初一，以及每年在除酵节、七七节、住棚节三个节期，献每日所当献上的祭。Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
14所罗门照着他父亲大卫所定的条例，分派祭司的班次，担任他们的职务，又分派利未人的任务，负责颂赞，并在祭司面前做每日当做的事，又派门口的守卫按着班次看守各门，因为神人大卫是这样吩咐的。And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
15王对众祭司和利未人的吩咐，无论是管理库房或任何事务，他们都不违背。And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
16所罗门所有的工作都准备就绪，从立耶和华殿的根基直到完工的日子。耶和华的殿就完成了。Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.
17那时，所罗门往以东地海岸的以旬．迦别和以禄去。Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
18希兰派他的臣仆，把船只和熟悉航海的仆人送到所罗门那里。他们同所罗门的仆人到了俄斐，从那里得了四百五十他连得金子，运到所罗门王那里。And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
