示巴女王拜访所罗门
（王上10．1－13）
示巴女王听见所罗门的名声，就来到耶路撒冷，要用难题考问所罗门。她带着很多的随从，有骆驼驮着香料、许多金子和宝石。她来到所罗门那里，向他提出心中所有的问题。
And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
2所罗门回答了她所有的问题，没有一个问题太难，是所罗门不能向她解答的。And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.
3示巴女王看见所罗门的智慧和他所建造的宫殿，And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
4席上的食物，坐着的群臣，侍立的仆人和他们的服装，司酒长和他们的服装，以及他上耶和华殿的台阶☛“台阶”或译“楼房”；“他上耶和华殿的台阶”：七十士译本和其他古译本是“他在耶和华殿里所献的燔祭”；参王上10．5。，就诧异得神不守舍。And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.
5她对王说：“我在本国所听到的话，论到你的事和你的智慧是真的！And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:
6我本来不信那些话，及至我来亲眼看见了，看哪，人所告诉我的，还不及你丰富智慧的一半，超过我所听见的传闻。Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
7你的人是有福的！你这些常侍立在你面前、听你智慧话的仆人是有福的！Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.
8耶和华－你的神是应当称颂的！他喜爱你，使你坐他的王位，为耶和华－你的神作王；因为你的神爱以色列，要永远坚立它，所以立你作他们的王，使你秉公行义。”Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
9于是示巴女王把一百二十他连得金子、极多的香料和宝石送给所罗门王；从来没有像示巴女王送给所罗门王那么多的香料。And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.
10希兰的仆人和所罗门的仆人也从俄斐运了金子来，又运了檀香木和宝石来。And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
11王用檀香木为耶和华的殿和王宫做阶梯，又为歌唱的人做琴瑟；犹大地从来没有见过这样的。And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.
12所罗门王除了回赠示巴女王所带来的，凡她所提出的一切要求，所罗门王都送给她。于是女王和她臣仆转回，到本国去了。所罗门的财富
（王上10．14－29；4．26）
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.
13所罗门每年所得的金子，重六百六十六他连得，Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;
14另外还有从商人和贸易所收到的，以及阿拉伯诸王和各地的省长进贡给所罗门的金银。Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
15所罗门王用锤出来的金子打成二百面盾牌，每面盾牌用六百舍客勒锤出来的金子；And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.
16又用锤出来的金子打成三百面小盾牌，每面小盾牌用三百舍客勒金子。王把它们放在黎巴嫩林宫里。And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
17王又制造一个大的象牙宝座，包上纯金。Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
18宝座有六层台阶，又有金脚凳，与宝座相连。座位之处两旁有扶手，靠近扶手有两只狮子站立。And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays:
19六层台阶上有十二只狮子站立，分站左边和右边；任何国度都没有这样做的。And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.
20所罗门王一切的饮器都是金的，黎巴嫩林宫里所有的器皿都是纯金的。在所罗门的日子，银子算不了什么。And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
21因王的船只与希兰的仆人一同往他施去，他施船只每三年一次把金、银、象牙、猿猴、孔雀☛“孔雀”或译“狒狒”。运回来。For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
22所罗门王的财宝与智慧胜过地上的众王。And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
23地上的众王都求见所罗门的面，要听神放在他心里的智慧。And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.
24他们各带贡物，就是银器、金器、衣服、兵器、香料、马、骡子，每年都有一定的数量。And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
25所罗门拥有给战车和马用的四千个棚子，还有一万二千名骑兵，安置在屯车城，在耶路撒冷的王那里。And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
26所罗门统管诸王，从大河到非利士人的地，直到埃及的边界。And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
27王在耶路撒冷使银子多如石头，香柏木多如谢非拉的桑树。And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.
28有人从埃及☛“埃及”可能不是南方的埃及，而是美索不达米亚北方的一国。和各国为所罗门把马匹运来。所罗门去世
（王上11．41－43）
And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
29所罗门其余的事，自始至终，不都写在拿单先知的书上和示罗人亚希雅的《预言书》上，以及易多先见论尼八儿子耶罗波安的《默示书》上吗？Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
30所罗门在耶路撒冷作全以色列的王四十年。And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
31所罗门与他祖先同睡，葬在他父亲大卫的城里，他儿子罗波安接续他作王。And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
