问候
为基督耶稣被囚的保罗，同弟兄提摩太，写信给我们所亲爱的同工腓利门、
Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
2亚腓亚姊妹，和我们的战友亚基布，以及在你家里的教会。And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
3愿恩惠、平安☛“平安”或译“和平”。从我们的父神和主耶稣基督归给你们！Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
腓利门的爱心和信心
4我在祷告中记念你的时候，常为你感谢我的神，I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5因听说你对众圣徒的爱心，和你对主耶稣的信心。Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6愿你与人分享信心的时候，能产生功效，让人知道我们☛有古卷是“你们”。所行的各样善事都是为基督做的。That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7弟兄啊，由于你的爱心，我得到极大的快乐和安慰，因为众圣徒的心从你得到舒畅。For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
保罗为阿尼西谋请求
8虽然我靠着基督能放胆吩咐你做该做的事，Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
9可是像我这上了年纪的保罗，现在又是为基督耶稣被囚的，宁可凭着爱心求你，Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
10就是为我在捆锁中所生的儿子阿尼西谋☛“阿尼西谋”：此名就是“有益处”的意思。求你。I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
11从前他与你没有益处，但如今与你我都有益处。Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
12我现在打发他回到你那里去，他是我心肝。Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
13我本来有意将他留下，在我为福音所受的捆锁中替你伺候我。Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
14但不知道你的意见，我不愿意这样做，好使你的善行不是出于勉强，而是出于自愿。But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
15他暂时离开你，也许是要让你永远得着他，For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
16不再是奴隶，而是高过奴隶，是亲爱的弟兄；对我确实如此，何况对你呢！无论在肉身或在主里更是如此。Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
17所以，你若以我为同伴，就接纳他，如同接纳我一样。If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
18他若亏负你，或欠你什么，都算在我的账上吧，If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
19我必偿还。这是我—保罗亲笔写的。我并不用对你说，甚至你自己也亏欠我呢！I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
20弟兄啊，希望你使我在主里因你得益处，让我的心在基督里得到舒畅。Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21我写信给你，深信你必顺服，知道你所要做的，必过于我所说的。Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
22此外，还请给我预备住处，因为我盼望藉着你们的祷告，必蒙恩回到你们那里去。But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
最后的问安
23为基督耶稣与我一同坐监的以巴弗问候你。There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
24我的同工马可、亚里达古、底马、路加也都问候你。Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.
25愿☛有古卷加“我们”。主耶稣基督的恩与你们的灵同在。☛有古卷加“阿们！”The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
