约雅敬的日子，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒上来；约雅敬服事他三年，以后又背叛他。
In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2耶和华派迦勒底、亚兰、摩押和亚扪人的军队来攻击约雅敬；耶和华派他们来攻击犹大，要毁灭它，正如耶和华藉他仆人众先知所说的话。And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.
3这事临到犹大，诚然是出于耶和华的命令☛“命令”：七十士译本和其他古译本是“愤怒”。，要把犹大从自己面前赶出去，是因玛拿西所犯的一切罪，Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
4又因他流无辜人的血，使无辜人的血充满耶路撒冷；耶和华不愿赦免。And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
5约雅敬其余的事，凡他所做的，不都写在《犹大列王记》上吗？Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6约雅敬与他祖先同睡，他儿子约雅斤接续他作王。So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
7埃及王不再从他的国出征，因为巴比伦王把埃及王所管之地，从埃及溪谷直到幼发拉底河都夺去了。犹大王约雅斤

And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
8约雅斤登基的时候年十八岁，在耶路撒冷作王三个月。他母亲名叫尼护施她，是耶路撒冷人以利拿单的女儿。Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
9约雅斤行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，效法他父亲一切所行的。And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.
10那时，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的军兵上到耶路撒冷，城被围困。At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
11当他的军兵围困城的时候，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒亲自来到耶路撒冷。And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.
12犹大王约雅斤和他母亲、臣仆、王子、官员一同出来，向巴比伦王投降。巴比伦王俘掳了他，那时是巴比伦王第八年。And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13巴比伦王把耶和华殿里和王宫里一切的宝物从那里拿走，又把以色列王所罗门所造耶和华殿里一切的金器都毁坏了，正如耶和华所说的。And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.
14他把全耶路撒冷众领袖和所有大能的勇士，共一万人，连同所有的木匠和铁匠都掳了去，只留下这地最贫穷的百姓。And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
15他把约雅斤和他的母亲、后妃、官员，以及这地的贵族，都从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦去了，And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16又把所有的勇士七千人，木匠和铁匠一千人，全是能上阵的勇士，都掳到巴比伦去了。And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17巴比伦王立约雅斤的叔父玛探雅取代他作王，给玛探雅改名叫西底家。犹大王西底家

And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18西底家登基的时候年二十一岁，在耶路撒冷作王十一年。他母亲名叫哈慕她，是立拿人耶利米的女儿。Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19西底家行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，正如约雅敬一切所行的。And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
20因此，耶和华向耶路撒冷和犹大发怒，以致把他们从自己面前赶出去。耶路撒冷沦陷

西底家背叛巴比伦王。
For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
