以利亚被接升天
耶和华要用旋风接以利亚升天的时候，以利亚与以利沙从吉甲往前行。
And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
2以利亚对以利沙说：“耶和华差遣我往伯特利去，你可以留在这里。”以利沙说：“我指着永生的耶和华，又指着你的性命起誓，我必不离开你。”于是二人下到伯特利。And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
3在伯特利的先知的门徒出来，到以利沙那里，对他说：“耶和华今日要接你的师父离开你☛“要接你的师父离开你”：原文直译“要从你头上接走你的师父”；下同。，你知不知道？”他说：“我知道，你们不要作声。”And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
4以利亚对以利沙说：“耶和华差遣我往耶利哥去，你可以留在这里。”以利沙说：“我指着永生的耶和华，又指着你的性命起誓，我必不离开你。”于是二人到了耶利哥。And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
5在耶利哥的先知的门徒来靠近以利沙，对他说：“耶和华今日要接你的师父离开你，你知不知道？”他说：“我知道，你们不要作声。”And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
6以利亚对以利沙说：“耶和华差遣我往约旦河去，你可以留在这里。”以利沙说：“我指着永生的耶和华，又指着你的性命起誓，我必不离开你。”于是二人一同往前行。And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
7有五十个先知的门徒同去，远远地站在他们对面；他们二人在约旦河边站住。And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.
8以利亚卷起自己的外衣，用来打水，水就左右分开，二人走干地过去。And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
9过去之后，以利亚对以利沙说：“我未被接去离开你以前，你要我为你做什么，只管求。”以利沙说：“愿感动你的灵双倍感动我。”And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
10以利亚说：“你求的是一件难事。我被接去离开你的时候，你若看见我，就必得着；若不然，就得不着了。”And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
以利亚乘旋风升天
11他们边走边说话的时候，看哪，有火马和火焰车出现，把二人隔开，以利亚就乘旋风升天去了。And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12以利沙看见，就呼叫说：“我父啊！我父啊！以色列的战车骑兵啊！”以利沙不再看见他的时候，就把自己的衣服撕为两片。And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
13他拾起以利亚身上掉下来的外衣，回去站在约旦河边。He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
14他用以利亚身上掉下来的外衣打水，说：“耶和华－以利亚的神在哪里呢？”打水之后，水也左右分开，以利沙就过去了。And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
15在耶利哥的先知的门徒从对面看见他，说：“感动以利亚的灵临到以利沙身上了。”他们就来迎接他，俯伏于地，向他下拜，And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
16对他说：“看哪，仆人这里有五十个壮士，请你让他们去寻找你师父，或者耶和华的灵将他提起来，投在某山某谷。”以利沙说：“你们不必派人去。”And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
17他们再三催促，直到他不好意思，就说：“你们派人去吧！”他们就派了五十个人去，寻找了三天，也没有找着他。And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.
18以利沙仍然留在耶利哥，他们回到他那里，他对他们说：“我不是告诉你们不必去吗？”And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?
以利沙的神迹
19耶利哥城的人对以利沙说：“看哪，这城的地势美好，正如我主所看见的，只是水质恶劣，地也没有生产。”And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
20以利沙说：“你们拿一个新的瓶子来，里面装盐。”他们就拿给他。And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
21他出去到了水源，把盐倒在那里，说：“耶和华如此说：‘我治好了这水，从那里不会再有死亡和不生产的事了。’”And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
22于是那水治好了，直到今日，正如以利沙所说的话。So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
23以利沙从那里上伯特利去。正上路的时候，有些孩童从城里出来，讥笑他，对他说：“秃头的，上去吧！秃头的，上去吧！”And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
24他转过身来瞪着他们，奉耶和华的名诅咒他们。于是有两只母熊从林中出来，撕裂他们当中的四十二个孩童。And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
25以利沙从伯特利上迦密山，又从那里回到撒玛利亚。And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.
