以色列王何细亚
犹大王亚哈斯第十二年，以拉的儿子何细亚在撒玛利亚登基作以色列王九年。
In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years.
2他行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，只是不像在他以前的以色列诸王。And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.
3亚述王撒缦以色上来攻击何细亚，何细亚就服事他，向他进贡。Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.
4何细亚背叛，派使者到埃及王梭那里☛“到埃及王梭那里”或译“到梭，埃及王那里”。，不照往年所行的向亚述王进贡。亚述王知道了，就逮捕他，把他囚在监里。And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.
5亚述王上来攻击以色列全地，上到撒玛利亚，围困这城三年。Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.
6何细亚第九年，亚述王攻取了撒玛利亚，把以色列人掳到亚述，安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，以及玛代人的城镇。In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
7这是因为以色列人得罪了那领他们出埃及地、脱离埃及王法老之手的耶和华－他们的神，去敬畏别神，For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,
8随从耶和华在以色列人面前所赶出外邦人的风俗和以色列诸王所立的规条。And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.
9以色列人暗中行不正的事，违背耶和华－他们的神，在他们所有的城镇，从瞭望楼直到坚固城，建筑丘坛；And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.
10在各高冈上、各青翠树下立柱像和亚舍拉；And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:
11在各丘坛上烧香，效法耶和华在他们面前赶出的外邦人所行的，又行恶事，惹耶和华发怒。And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:
12他们事奉偶像，耶和华对他们说：“你们不可做这事。”For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.
13耶和华藉众先知、先见劝戒以色列和犹大说：“当离开你们的恶行，谨守我的诫命律例，遵行我吩咐你们祖先、藉我仆人众先知所传给你们的一切律法。”Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
14他们却不听从，竟硬着颈项，像他们祖先一样，不信服耶和华－他们的神。Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.
15他们厌弃他的律例，和他与他们列祖所立的约，以及他劝戒他们的话，去随从虚无的神明☛“虚无的神明”：原文是“虚无”。，自己成为虚妄，效法周围的列国，就是耶和华嘱咐他们不可效法的。And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
16他们离弃耶和华－他们神的一切诫命，为自己铸造了两个牛犊的像，立了亚舍拉，敬拜天上的万象，事奉巴力，And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
17使他们的儿女经火，占卜，行法术，出卖自己，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒。And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
18所以耶和华向以色列大大发怒，从自己面前赶出他们，只剩下犹大一个支派。Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
19但是，犹大也不遵守耶和华－他们神的诫命，效法以色列所立的规条。Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
20耶和华就厌弃以色列所有的后裔，使他们受苦，把他们交在抢夺他们的人手中，直到他把他们从自己面前赶出去。And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
21当他使以色列从大卫家分离出来的时候，他们立尼八的儿子耶罗波安作王。耶罗波安引诱以色列不随从耶和华，陷入大罪中。For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin.
22以色列人行耶罗波安所犯的一切罪，总不离开，For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them;
23以致耶和华把他们从自己面前赶出去，正如他藉他仆人众先知所说的。这样，以色列人从自己的土地被掳到亚述，直到今日。Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
亚述人定居于撒玛利亚
24亚述王从巴比伦、古他、亚瓦、哈马和西法瓦音迁移人来，安置在撒玛利亚的城镇，代替以色列人；他们就占据了撒玛利亚，住在城中。And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.
25他们开始住在那里的时候，不敬畏耶和华，所以耶和华叫狮子进入他们中间，咬死了一些人。And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them.
26有人对亚述王说：“你所迁移安置在撒玛利亚城镇的各国的人，他们不知道那地之神的规矩，所以他叫狮子进入他们中间。看哪，狮子咬死了他们，因为他们不知道那地之神的规矩。”Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.
27亚述王吩咐说：“当派一个从那里掳来的祭司回去，叫他住在那里，将那地之神的规矩指导他们。”Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.
28于是有一个从撒玛利亚掳去的祭司回来，住在伯特利，教导他们怎样敬畏耶和华。Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.
29然而，各国的人在所住的城里为自己制造神像，安置在撒玛利亚人所建有丘坛的庙中。Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.
30巴比伦人造疏割．比讷像；古他人造匿甲像；哈马人造亚示玛像；And the men of Babylon made Succothbenoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima,
31亚瓦人造匿哈和他珥他像；西法瓦音人用火焚烧儿女，献给西法瓦音的神明亚得米勒和亚拿米勒。And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim.
32他们惧怕耶和华，却从他们中间立丘坛的祭司，在丘坛的庙中为他们献祭。So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.
33他们惧怕耶和华，但又事奉自己的神明，从何邦迁来，就随从那里的风俗，They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.
34直到如今仍照先前的风俗去行。他们不敬畏耶和华，不遵守耶和华吩咐雅各后裔的律例、典章、律法、诫命；雅各就是从前耶和华起名叫以色列的。
Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;
35耶和华曾与他们立约，吩咐他们说：“不可敬畏别神，不可跪拜事奉它们，也不可向它们献祭。With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:
36惟有那用大能和伸出来的膀臂领你们出埃及地的耶和华，你们当敬畏他，向他跪拜，向他献祭。But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.
37他给你们写的律例、典章、律法、诫命，你们应当永远谨守遵行。你们不可敬畏别神。And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods.
38你们不可忘记我与你们所立的约，也不可敬畏别神。And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods.
39只要敬畏耶和华－你们的神，他必救你们脱离一切仇敌的手。”But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.
40他们却不听从，仍照先前的风俗去行。Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.
41这样，这些国家又惧怕耶和华，又事奉他们的偶像。他们子子孙孙也都照样行，效法他们的祖宗，直到今日。So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.
