拜偶像和真敬拜
以色列家啊，要听耶和华对你们所说的话，
Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
2耶和华如此说： “不要效法列国的行为， 任凭列国因天象惊惶， 你们不要惊惶。Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3万民的习俗是虚空的； 偶像☛“偶像”：原文是“它”。不过是从树林中砍来的木头， 是匠人用斧头做成的手工。For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4人用金银妆饰它， 用钉子和锤子钉稳， 使它不动摇。They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5偶像好像瓜田里的稻草人， 不能说话，不能行走， 必须有人抬着。 不要怕它们， 因它们不能降祸， 也无力降福。”They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
6耶和华啊，没有谁能与你相比！ 你本为大，你的名也大有能力。Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
7万国的王啊，谁不敬畏你？ 敬畏你本是合宜的； 列国所有的智慧人中， 在他们一切的国度里， 都没有能与你相比的。Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
8他们如同畜牲，尽都愚昧。 偶像的训诲算什么呢？ 偶像不过是木头，But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
9锤炼的银片是从他施来的， 金子则从乌法☛“乌法”：有古译本是“俄斐”。而来， 都是匠人和银匠的手工； 又有蓝色和紫色的衣服， 全都是巧匠的作品。Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.
10惟耶和华是真神， 是活的神，是永远的王。 他一发怒，大地震动； 他一恼恨，列国担当不起。But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
11你们要对他们这样说：“那些不是创造天地的神明，必从地上、从天下被除灭！”☛本节原文是亚兰文。颂赞神的诗
Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
12耶和华以能力创造大地， 以智慧建立世界， 以聪明铺张穹苍。He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13他一出声，天上就有众水澎湃； 他使云雾从地极上腾， 造电随雨而闪， 从仓库中吹出风来。When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
14人人都如同畜牲，毫无知识； 银匠都因偶像羞愧， 他所铸的偶像本是虚假， 它们里面并无气息。Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
15偶像都是虚无的， 是迷惑人的作品， 到受罚的时刻必被除灭。They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.
17受围困的居民哪，当收拾你的行囊， 离开这地。Gather up thy wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress.
18因为耶和华如此说： “看哪，这一次，我必将此地的居民抛出去， 又必加害他们， 使他们觉悟☛“使他们觉悟”：七十士译本是“你的灾难就被发现”。。”For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.
19祸哉！我受损伤， 我的伤痕极其重大。 我却说：“这真的是我必须忍受的痛苦。”Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.
20我的帐棚毁坏， 我的绳索折断， 我的儿女都离我而去，不在了。 再无人来支搭我的帐棚，挂起我的幔子。My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.
21因为牧人如同畜牲， 没有寻求耶和华， 所以不得顺利； 他们的羊群也都分散了。For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.
22有风声！看哪，来了！ 有大扰乱从北方而来， 要使犹大的城镇变为废墟， 成为野狗的住处。Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.
23耶和华啊，我知道人的道路不由自己， 行路的人也不能定自己的脚步。O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
24耶和华啊，求你按公平管教我， 不要在你的怒中惩治我， 免得你使我归于无有。O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.
25求你将愤怒倾倒在不认识你的列国中， 倾倒在不求告你名的各族上； 因为他们吞了雅各，不但吞了，而且灭绝， 使他的住处变为荒凉。Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.
