腰带的比喻
耶和华对我如此说：“你去买一条麻布带子，束在你腰上，不可把它泡在水里。”
Thus saith the LORD unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.
2我就照耶和华的话，买了一条带子，束在我的腰上。So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.
3耶和华的话第二次临到我，说：And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,
4“要拿你所买、在你腰上的带子，起来往幼发拉底河去，把腰带藏在那里的磐石穴中。”Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
5我就去，照着耶和华命令我的，把腰带藏在幼发拉底河边。So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.
6过了多日，耶和华对我说：“你起来往幼发拉底河去，把我命令你藏在那里的腰带取出来。”And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.
7我就往幼发拉底河去，把那腰带从我所藏的地方挖出来。看哪，腰带已经破烂，毫无用处了。Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
8耶和华的话临到我，说：Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
9“耶和华如此说：我要照样败坏犹大的骄傲和耶路撒冷的狂傲。Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
10这恶民不肯听我的话，按自己顽梗的心而行，随从别神，事奉敬拜它们；这恶民必像这腰带，毫无用处。This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.
11腰带怎样紧贴人的腰，照样，我也曾使以色列全家和犹大全家紧贴着我，归我为子民，使我得名声，得颂赞，得荣耀；他们却不肯听从。这是耶和华说的。”酒坛的比喻
For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
12“所以你要对他们说：‘耶和华－以色列的神如此说：各坛都要装满酒。’他们必对你说：‘我们岂不知道各坛都要装满酒吗？’Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word; Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?
13你就对他们说：‘耶和华如此说：看哪，我必使这地所有的居民，就是坐大卫宝座的君王、祭司和先知，并耶路撒冷所有的居民，都酩酊大醉。Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
14我要使他们彼此冲突，连父与子也互相冲突；我必不可怜，不顾惜，不怜悯，以致将他们灭绝。这是耶和华说的。’”耶利米警告狂傲的行为
And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.
15你们当听，当侧耳而听； 不可骄傲，因为耶和华已经吩咐了。Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.
16当耶和华－你们的神 尚未使黑暗来临， 在昏暗的山上 你们的脚未绊跌以前， 要将荣耀归给他。 你们盼望光明， 他却使光明变为死荫， 成为幽暗。Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
17你们若不听这话， 我的心必因你们的骄傲暗自哭泣； 我的眼必痛哭流泪， 因为耶和华的羊群被掳去了。But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive.
18你要对君王和太后说： “你们当自卑，坐下； 因你们的王冠， 就是你们华美的冠冕已经掉落了☛“因你们...掉落了”：七十士译本和其他古译本是“因你们华美的冠冕已经从头上掉落了”。。”Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.
19尼革夫☛“尼革夫”是音译，意思是“旷野干旱的地方”，指“南方之地”；本卷书下同。的城镇都被关闭， 无人打开； 犹大全被掳掠， 掳掠净尽。The cities of the south shall be shut up, and none shall open them: Judah shall be carried away captive all of it, it shall be wholly carried away captive.
20你们要举目观看从北方来的人。 先前赐给你的羊群， 就是你所引以为荣的羊， 现今在哪里呢？Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?
21耶和华立你自己所教导的盟友， 立他们为头来辖制你， 你还有什么话可说呢？☛“耶和华...可说呢？”或译“当他来惩罚你的时候，你还有什么话可说呢？你自己所教导的盟友作头来辖制你。” 痛苦岂不将你抓住像临产的妇人吗？What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?
22你若心里说：“这一切的事为何临到我呢？” 是因你罪孽甚多。 你的下摆揭起， 你的脚跟受伤。And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare.
23古实☛“古实”包括苏丹的大部分和埃塞俄比亚的一部分。人岂能改变皮肤呢？ 豹岂能改变斑点呢？ 若能，你们这善于行恶的便能行善了。Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
24我必吹散他们， 如碎秸随旷野的风飘动。Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passeth away by the wind of the wilderness.
25这是你所当得的， 是我量给你的报应☛“我量给你的报应”：七十士译本是“你们背叛我的报应”。； 因为你忘记了我， 倚靠虚假☛“虚假”或译“偶像”。。 这是耶和华说的。This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.
26我要揭起你的下摆， 蒙在你脸上， 显露你的羞耻。Therefore will I discover thy skirts upon thy face, that thy shame may appear.
27你在田野的山上行奸淫， 发嘶声，谋淫乱， 这些可憎之事我都看见了。 耶路撒冷啊，你有祸了！ 你不肯洁净☛“你不肯洁净”：七十士译本是“你不肯洁净来跟从我”。还要等到几时呢？I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?
