破碎的瓶
耶和华如此说：“你去买陶匠的瓷瓶 ，你和☛“你和”：七十士译本和其他古译本是“带着”。百姓中的长老、位尊的祭司
Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;

3说：‘犹大君王和耶路撒冷的居民哪，当听耶和华的话。万军之耶和华－以色列的神如此说：看哪，我必使灾祸临到这地方，凡听见的人都必耳鸣；And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

5他们建造巴力的丘坛，要在火中焚烧自己的儿女，作为燔祭献给巴力。这不是我命令的，不是我吩咐的，我心里也从来没有想过。They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:
6因此，看哪，日子将到，这地方不再称为陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒称为杀戮谷。这是耶和华说的。Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.
7我要在这地方使犹大和耶路撒冷的计谋落空，也必使他们在仇敌面前倒在刀下，倒在寻索其命的人手下。我要把他们的尸首给空中的飞鸟和地上的走兽作食物。And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
8我必使这城令人惊骇嘲笑；凡路过的，必因这城所遭的灾难惊骇嘲笑。And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.
9仇敌和寻索其命的人追逼他们，使他们落在围困窘迫之中，我必使他们各人吃自己儿女的肉和朋友的肉。’And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.
10“你要在跟你同去的人眼前打碎那瓶，Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,
11对他们说：‘万军之耶和华如此说：我要打碎这民和这城，正如人打碎陶匠的器皿，不能再使其完整。他们要在陀斐特埋葬，甚至无处可葬。And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.
12我必向这地方和其中的居民如此行，使这城与陀斐特一样。这是耶和华说的。Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:
13耶路撒冷的房屋和犹大君王的宫殿，就是他们在其上向天上的万象烧香、向别神献浇酒祭的宫殿房屋，都必被玷污，和陀斐特一样。’”And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.
14耶利米从耶和华差他去说预言的陀斐特回来，站在耶和华殿的院中对众百姓说：Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house; and said to all the people,
15“万军之耶和华－以色列的神如此说：‘看哪，我必使我所说的一切灾祸临到这城和属它的城镇，因为他们硬着颈项不听我的话。’”Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
