耶利米在圣殿讲道
耶和华的话临到耶利米，说：
The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2“你当站在耶和华殿的门口，在那里宣讲这话说：所有从这些门进来敬拜耶和华的犹大人哪，当听耶和华的话。Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
3万军之耶和华－以色列的神如此说：你们要改正你们的所作所为，我就使你们仍然居住这地☛“我就...这地”：有古译本是“让我与你们住在这地”。。Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
4不要倚靠虚谎的话，说：‘这是耶和华的殿，是耶和华的殿，是耶和华的殿！’Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.
5“你们若实在改正你们的所作所为，彼此诚然施行公平，For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
6不欺压寄居的和孤儿寡妇，不在这地方流无辜人的血，也不随从别神陷害自己，If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
7我就使你们仍然居住这地☛“我就...这地”：有古译本是“我就与你们住在这地”。，就是我从古时所赐给你们祖先的地，从永远到永远。Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
8“看哪，你们倚靠虚谎无益的话语。Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
9你们岂可偷盗，杀害，奸淫，起假誓，向巴力烧香，随从素不认识的别神，Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
10又来到这称为我名下的殿，在我面前敬拜，说‘我们平安无事’，为了要行这一切可憎的事呢？And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
11这称为我名下的殿在你们眼中岂可看为贼窝呢？看哪，我真的都看见了。这是耶和华说的。Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
12你们到我的地方示罗去，就是我先前在那里立为我名的居所，察看我因这百姓以色列的罪恶向那地方所行的事。But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
13现在，因你们行了这一切的事，我一再警戒你们，你们却不听从；我呼唤你们，你们也不回应。这是耶和华说的。And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;
14所以我要向这称为我名下、你们所倚靠的殿，与我所赐给你们和你们祖先的地这样行，正如我从前向示罗所行的。Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
15我必将你们从我眼前赶出，正如赶出你们的众弟兄，就是所有以法莲的后裔。”百姓违背命令
And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.
16“所以，你不要为这百姓祈祷；不要为他们呼求祷告，也不要为他们向我祈求，因我不听你。Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
17他们在犹大城镇和耶路撒冷街上所做的，你难道没有看见吗？Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18孩子捡柴，父亲烧火，妇女揉面做饼，献给天后，又向别神献浇酒祭，惹我发怒。The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
19他们岂是惹我发怒呢？不是自己惹祸，以致脸上惭愧吗？这是耶和华说的。”Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
20所以主耶和华如此说：“看哪，我必将我的怒气和愤怒倾倒在这地方的人和牲畜身上、田野的树木和地里的出产上，它必燃烧，不会熄灭。”Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
21万军之耶和华－以色列的神如此说：“你们要将燔祭加在你们的祭物上，又要吃肉；Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.
22因为我将你们祖先从埃及地领出来的那日，燔祭和祭物的事我并没有提说，也没有吩咐他们。For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
23我只吩咐他们这一件事说：‘你们当听从我的话，我就作你们的神，你们也作我的子民。你们行走我所吩咐的一切道路，就可以得福。’But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
24他们却不听从，也不侧耳而听，竟随从自己的计谋和顽梗的恶心去行，不进反退。But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
25自从你们祖先出埃及地的那日，直到今日，我每日一再差遣我的仆人众先知到你们那里去。Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
26你们却不听我，不侧耳而听，竟硬着颈项行恶，比你们的祖先更甚。Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
27“你要将这一切的话告诉他们，他们却不听你；呼唤他们，他们却不回应。Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
28你要对他们说：‘这就是不听从耶和华－他们神的话、不领受训诲的国民；诚信已从他们口中消失殆尽了。But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
29耶路撒冷啊，要剪头发，扔掉它， 在光秃的高地唱哀歌， 因为耶和华弃绝、离弃了惹他发怒的世代。’”在欣嫩子谷的罪行
Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
30“犹大人行我眼中看为恶的事，将可憎之偶像立在称为我名下的殿里，玷污这殿。这是耶和华说的。For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.
31他们在欣嫩子谷建造陀斐特的丘坛，要在火中焚烧自己的儿女。这并不是我所吩咐的，我心里也从来没有想过。And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
32因此，看哪，日子将到，这地方不再称为陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒称为杀戮谷。他们要在陀斐特埋葬尸首，甚至无处可葬。这是耶和华说的。Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
33并且这百姓的尸首要给空中的飞鸟和地上的走兽作食物，无人吓走它们。And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
34那时，我必止息犹大城镇和耶路撒冷街上欢喜和快乐的声音、新郎和新娘的声音，因为这地必然荒芜。”Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.
