耶和华说：“那时，人必将犹大诸王和领袖的骸骨、祭司和先知的骸骨，以及耶路撒冷居民的骸骨，都从坟墓中取出来，
At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
2散布在太阳、月亮和天上众星之下，就是他们从前所喜爱、所事奉、所随从、所求问、所敬拜的。这些骸骨不被收殓，不被埋葬，必在地面上成为粪土。And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
3这邪恶家族所幸存的余民，就是在我赶他们到的各处所剩下的☛有古卷和七十士译本没有“所剩下的”。，全都宁可选死不选活。这是万军之耶和华说的。”罪与罚
And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
4“你要对他们说，耶和华如此说： 人跌倒，不再起来吗？ 人转去，不再转回来吗？Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
5这耶路撒冷的百姓为何永久背道呢？ 他们抓住诡诈，不肯回头。Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
6我留心听，听见他们说不诚实的话。 无人懊悔自己的恶行，说： ‘我做的是什么呢？’ 他们全都转奔己路， 如马直闯战场。I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.
7空中的鹳鸟知道自己的季节， 斑鸠、燕子与白鹤也守候当来的时令； 我的百姓却不知道耶和华的法则。Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
8“你们怎么说：‘我们有智慧， 耶和华的律法在我们这里’？ 看哪，其实文士的假笔舞弄虚假。How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
9智慧人惭愧，惊惶，被擒拿； 看哪，他们背弃耶和华的话， 还会有什么智慧呢？The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
10因此，我必将他们的妻子给别人， 将他们的田地给别人为业； 因为他们从最小的到最大的都贪图不义之财， 从先知到祭司全都行事虚假。Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
11他们轻忽地医治我百姓的损伤，说： ‘平安了！平安了！’ 其实没有平安。For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
12他们行可憎之事，应当羞愧； 然而他们却一点也不觉得羞愧， 又不知羞耻。 因此，他们必与仆倒的人一样仆倒； 我惩罚他们的时候， 他们必跌倒。 这是耶和华说的。Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
13我必使他们全然灭绝； 葡萄树上必没有葡萄☛“我必...葡萄”：有古译本是“我要采收果子，但葡萄树上必没有葡萄”。， 无花果树上没有果子， 叶子也必枯干。 我所赐给他们的， 必离他们而去。 这是耶和华说的。”I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
14我们为何静坐不动呢？ 我们当聚集，进入坚固城， 在那里静默不言； 因为耶和华－我们的神使我们静默不言， 又将苦水给我们喝， 都因我们得罪了耶和华。Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.
15我们指望平安， 却得不着福气； 指望痊愈时刻， 看哪，受了惊惶。We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!
16“从但那里传来敌人的马喷气的声音， 壮马发出嘶声， 全地就都震动； 因为他们来吞灭这地和其上所有的， 吞灭这城与其中的居民。The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.
17看哪，我必派蛇进到你们中间， 就是法术无法驱除的毒蛇， 它们必咬你们。 这是耶和华说的。”耶利米为同胞悲伤
For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.
18忧愁时我寻找安慰☛“忧愁...安慰”：七十士译本是“无法医治的忧伤压倒你们的心”。， 我心在我里面发昏。When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.
19听啊，是我百姓呼救的声音从远地传来： “耶和华不是在锡安吗？ 锡安的王不是在其中吗？” “他们为什么以自己雕刻的偶像 和外邦虚无的神明☛“虚无的神明”：原文是“虚无”。惹我发怒呢？”Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
20“秋收已过，夏季已完， 我们还未得救！”The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
21因我百姓的损伤， 我也受了损伤。 我哀恸，惊惶将我抓住。For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.
22在基列岂没有乳香呢？ 在那里岂没有医生呢？ 我百姓☛“我百姓”：原文直译“我百姓的女儿”。为何得不着医治呢？Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
