When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.

And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
3他们行恶使君王欢喜， 说谎使官长快乐。They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.
4他们全都犯奸淫， 如同烤热的火炉， 师傅在揉面到发面时 暂时停止煽火。They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.
5在我们君王宴乐的日子， 官长因酒的烈性而生病☛“因酒...生病”：七十士译本是“开始因酒而狂热”。， 王与亵慢的人握手。In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.
6他们临近，心里如火炉一般， 他们等待，如烤饼的整夜睡觉， 到了早晨如火焰熊熊。For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.
7他们全都热如火炉， 吞灭他们的审判官。 他们的君王都仆倒， 他们中间无一人求告我。以色列和列邦
They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.
8以法莲混居在万民中☛“混居在万民中”或译“在万民中逐渐枯朽”。， 以法莲是没有翻过的饼。Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
9外邦人消耗他的力量，他却不知道； 头发斑白，他也不觉得。Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.
10以色列的骄傲使自己脸面无光。 他们虽遭遇这一切， 仍不归向耶和华－他们的神， 也不寻求他。And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.
11以法莲好像鸽子愚蠢无知， 他们求告埃及，投奔亚述。Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
12他们去的时候，我要把我的网撒在他们身上； 我要捕获他们如同空中的鸟。 我必按他们会众所听到的☛“他们会众所听到的”：原文另译“他们的邪恶”；七十士译本是“听到他们的灾难而”。惩罚他们。When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.
13他们因离弃我，必定有祸； 因违背我，必遭毁灭。 我虽想要救赎他们，他们却向我说谎。Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
14他们在床上呼号， 却不诚心哀求我； 他们为求五谷新酒而聚集☛“聚集”：有古卷和七十士译本是“割伤自己”。， 却背叛我。And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.
15我虽管教他们，坚固他们的膀臂， 他们却图谋邪恶抗拒我。Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.
16他们归向，但不是归向至上者☛“他们...至上者”：原文另译“他们归向巴力”；七十士译本是“他们归向那不存在的”。； 终究必如松弛的弓。 他们的领袖必因舌头的狂傲倒在刀下， 这在埃及地必成为人的笑柄。They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
