割礼为立约的记号
亚伯兰九十九岁时，耶和华向他显现，对他说：“我是全能的神。你当在我面前行走，作完全的人，
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2我要与你立约，使你的后裔极其繁多。”And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3亚伯兰脸伏于地；神又对他说：And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4“看哪，这就是我与你立的约，你要成为多国的父。As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5从今以后，你的名字不再叫亚伯兰，要叫亚伯拉罕，因为我已经立你作多国之父。Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6我必使你生养极其繁多；国度要从你而立，君王要从你而出。And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7我要与你，以及你世世代代的后裔坚立我的约，成为永远的约，是要作你和你后裔的神。And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8我要把你现在寄居的地，就是迦南全地，赐给你和你的后裔永远为业；我也必作他们的神。”And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
9神又对亚伯拉罕说：“你和你的后裔一定要世世代代遵守我的约。And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
10这就是我与你，以及你的后裔所立的约，是你们所当遵守的，你们所有的男子都要受割礼。This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11你们要割去肉体的包皮，这是我与你们立约的记号。And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
12你们世世代代的男子，无论是在家里生的，或是用银子从外人买来而不是你后裔生的，都要在生下来的第八日受割礼。And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
13你家里生的和你用银子买的，都必须受割礼。这样，我的约就在你们肉体上成为永远的约。He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14不受割礼的男子都必从民中剪除，因他违背了我的约。”And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
15神又对亚伯拉罕说：“至于你的妻子撒莱，不可再叫她撒莱，她的名要叫撒拉。And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
16我必赐福给她，也要从她赐一个儿子给你。我必赐福给撒拉，她要兴起多国；必有百姓的君王从她而出。”And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
17亚伯拉罕就脸伏于地窃笑，心里想：“一百岁的人还能有孩子吗？撒拉已经九十岁了，还能生育吗？”Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
18亚伯拉罕对神说：“但愿以实玛利活在你面前。”And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
19神说：“不！你妻子撒拉必为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒。我要与他坚立我的约，成为他后裔永远的约。And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20至于以实玛利，我已听见你了：看哪，我必赐福给他，使他兴旺，极其繁多。他必生十二个族长，我要使他成为大国。And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21到明年所定的时候，撒拉必为你生以撒，我要与他坚立我的约。”But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
22神和亚伯拉罕说完了话，就离开他上升去了。And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
23在那一天，亚伯拉罕遵照神所说的，给他的儿子以实玛利和家里所有的男丁，无论是在家里生的，或是用银子买来的，都行了割礼☛“行了割礼”：原文是“割了肉体的包皮”；24、 25节的“割礼”同。。And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.
24亚伯拉罕受割礼时，年九十九岁。And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
25他儿子以实玛利受割礼时，年十三岁。And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
26在那一天，亚伯拉罕和他儿子以实玛利一同受了割礼。In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.
27家里所有的男人，无论是在家里生的，或是用银子从外人买来的，也都一同受了割礼。And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
