人类的邪恶
当人开始在地面上增多、又生女儿的时候，
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2神的儿子们看见人的女子美貌，就随意挑选，娶来为妻。That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3耶和华说：“人既属乎血气，我的灵就不永远住在他里面；然而他的年岁还可到一百二十年。”And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4那时候有巨人在地上，后来也有；神的儿子们和人的女子们交合，生了孩子。那些人就是古代的勇士，有名的人物。There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5耶和华见人在地上罪大恶极，终日心里所想的尽都是恶事，And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6耶和华就因造人在地上感到遗憾，心中忧伤。And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7耶和华说：“我要把所造的人和走兽，爬行动物，以及天空的飞鸟，都从地面上除灭，因为我造了他们感到遗憾。”And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8只有挪亚在耶和华眼前蒙恩。挪亚造方舟
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
9这是挪亚的后代。挪亚是个义人，在他的世代中是个完全人。挪亚与神同行。These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10挪亚生了三个儿子，就是闪、含和雅弗。And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11这地在神面前败坏了，地上充满了暴力。The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12神观看这地，看哪，它败坏了，因为凡血肉之躯在地上的行为都败坏了。And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13神对挪亚说：“在我面前，凡血肉之躯的结局已经临到，因着他们，地上充满了暴力。看哪，我要把他们和这地一起毁灭。And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14你要为自己用歌斐木造一艘方舟，并在方舟内造房间，内外都要抹上沥青。Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15方舟的造法是这样：要长三百肘，宽五十肘，高三十肘。And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16方舟上面要造天窗，向上一肘。方舟的门要开在旁边。方舟要分上、中、下三层。A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17看哪，我要使洪水泛滥在地上，毁灭天下凡有生命气息的血肉之躯，地上的一切都要灭亡。And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
18但我要与你立约；你同你的儿子、妻子和媳妇都要进入方舟。But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
19凡有血肉的动物，每样一对，一公一母，你要带进方舟，好跟你一起保全生命。And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20飞鸟各从其类，牲畜各从其类，地上的爬行动物各从其类，每样一对，都要到你那里，好保全生命。Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21你要拿各样可吃的食物，储存在你那里，作你和它们的粮食。”And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
22挪亚就去做了；凡神吩咐他的，他都照样去做。Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
