圣殿的奉献礼
（王上8．62－66）
所罗门祈祷完毕，就有火从天降下来，烧尽燔祭和祭物。耶和华的荣光充满了殿；
Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.
2因耶和华的荣光充满了耶和华的殿，所以祭司不能进耶和华的殿。And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD's house.
3那火降下、耶和华的荣光在殿上的时候，以色列众人看见，就在石板地俯伏敬拜，称谢耶和华： “耶和华本为善， 他的慈爱永远长存！”And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
4王和众百姓在耶和华面前献祭。Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.
5所罗门王献二万二千头牛、十二万只羊为祭。这样，王和众百姓为神的殿行了奉献之礼。And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
6祭司各供其职侍立，利未人拿着耶和华的乐器，就是大卫王所造、为要颂赞耶和华的乐器，因他的慈爱永远长存；他们为大卫的赞美诗奏乐；祭司在众人面前吹号，以色列众人都站立。And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
7所罗门因他所造的铜坛容不下燔祭、素祭和脂肪，就将耶和华殿前院子的中间分别为圣，在那里献燔祭和平安祭牲的脂肪。Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.
8那时所罗门守节七日，从哈马口直到埃及溪谷的以色列众人都与他同在一起，成了一个极其盛大的会。Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
9第八日他们举行严肃会，行奉献坛的礼七日，守节七日。And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
10七月二十三日，王差遣百姓回自己的帐棚去；他们为耶和华向大卫和所罗门，以及他百姓以色列所施的恩惠，心里都欢喜快乐。神再次向所罗门显现
（王上9．1－9）
And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
11所罗门建完了耶和华的殿和王宫；在耶和华的殿和王宫的工程上，凡他心中所要做的，都顺利做成了。Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.
12夜间耶和华向所罗门显现，对他说：“我已听了你的祷告，也选择这地方归我作献祭的殿宇。And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13我若使天闭塞不下雨，或使蝗虫吃这地的出产，或降瘟疫在我子民中，If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14这称为我名下的子民，若是谦卑自己，祷告，寻求我的面，转离他们的恶行，我必从天上垂听，赦免他们的罪，医治他们的地。If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15我必睁眼看，侧耳听在此处所献的祷告。Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16现在我已选择这殿，分别为圣，使我的名永在其中；我的眼、我的心也必时常在那里。For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
17你若行在我面前，效法你父大卫所行的，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，谨守我的律例典章，And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
18我就必坚固你国度的王位，正如我与你父大卫所立的约，说：‘你的子孙必不断有人治理以色列。’Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
19“倘若你们转去，离弃我摆在你们面前的律例诫命，去事奉别神，敬拜它们，But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
20我就必把以色列人从我赐给他们的地上连根拔起，也必从我面前舍弃那为我名所分别为圣的殿，使它在万民中成为笑柄，被人讥诮。Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.
21这殿虽然崇高，将来凡经过的人必惊讶说：‘耶和华为何向这地和这殿如此行呢？’And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?
22人必说：‘因为此地的人离弃领他们祖先出埃及地的耶和华－他们的神，去亲近别神，敬拜事奉它们，所以耶和华使这一切灾祸临到他们。’”And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.
