战胜米甸人
耶和华吩咐摩西说：
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2“你要为以色列人向米甸人报仇，然后归到你祖先☛“你祖先”：原文是“你百姓”。那里。”Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.
3摩西吩咐百姓说：“要在你们中间叫人带兵器去攻击米甸，为耶和华向米甸报仇。And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.
4从以色列众支派中，每支派要派一千人去打仗。”Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
5于是从以色列千万人中，每支派征召一千人，一共一万二千名，带着兵器预备打仗。So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6摩西派他们去打仗，每支派一千人；又派以利亚撒祭司的儿子非尼哈同去；非尼哈手里拿着圣所的器皿和吹号的号筒。And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.
7他们遵照耶和华所吩咐摩西的，与米甸打仗，杀了所有的男丁。And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.
8在所杀的人中，他们杀了米甸的王，就是以未、利金、苏珥、户珥、利巴五个米甸的王，又用刀杀了比珥的儿子巴兰。And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
9以色列人掳了米甸的妇女和孩童，抢夺他们一切的牲畜、牛羊和所有的财物，And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.
10又用火焚烧了他们所住的一切城镇和所有的营寨。And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.
11以色列人把一切掳物和掠物，连人和牲畜都带走，And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.
12将俘虏、掠物、掳物带到摩押平原，在约旦河边与耶利哥相对的营地，交给摩西和以利亚撒祭司，以及以色列的会众。And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.
军队返回
13摩西和以利亚撒祭司，以及会众中所有的领袖，都出营迎接他们。And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.
14摩西向打仗回来的军官，就是千夫长和百夫长发怒。And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.
15摩西对他们说：“你们要让这所有的妇女活着吗？And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
16看哪，正是这些妇女，因巴兰的话，在毗珥的事上导致以色列人背叛耶和华，以致耶和华的会众遭遇瘟疫。Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
17现在，你们要杀所有的男孩，也要把所有曾与男人同房共寝的女子都杀了。Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18但那些未曾与男人同房共寝的女孩，你们可以让她们存活。But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
19你们和你们所掳来的人，要住在营外七天；凡杀了人的，和一切摸了尸体的，要在第三日和第七日洁净自己。And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.
20你们也要洁净一切的衣服，以及用皮革、山羊毛和木头做的任何东西。”And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.
21以利亚撒祭司对打仗回来的士兵说：“耶和华所吩咐摩西律法中的条例是这样：And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;
22金、银、铜、铁、锡、铅，Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23凡能耐火的，你们要使它经过火，它就洁净，然而还要用除污秽的水来洁净它；凡不能耐火的，你们要使它经过水。Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.
24第七日，你们要洗衣服，才为洁净，然后可以进营。”And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
分战利品
25耶和华对摩西说：And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
26“你和以利亚撒祭司，以及会众的各父系家长，要计算所掳掠的人和牲畜的总数。Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:
27要把所掳掠的分成两半：一半给那出去打仗的精兵，一半给全会众。And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:
28再从那出去打仗的战士所得的人、牛、驴、羊中，每五百取一，献给耶和华为贡物。And levy a tribute unto the Lord of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:
29要从他们那一半中取出这些，交给以利亚撒祭司，作为耶和华的举祭。Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.
30又要从以色列人的那一半中，就是从人、牛、驴、羊，各样牲畜中，每五十取一，交给照管耶和华帐幕的利未人。”And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.
31于是摩西和以利亚撒祭司遵照耶和华所吩咐摩西的做了。And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.
32除了士兵所夺的财物以外，所掳来的有羊六十七万五千只，And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,
33牛七万二千头，And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,
34驴六万一千匹；And threescore and one thousand asses,
35至于人，就是未曾与男人同房共寝的女子，总共三万二千名。And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.
36出去打仗之人的那份，就是他们所得的一半，共计羊三十三万七千五百只，And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:
37其中归耶和华为贡物的羊，六百七十五只；And the LORD's tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.
38牛三万六千头，其中归耶和华为贡物的七十二头；And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and twelve.
39驴三万零五百匹，其中归耶和华为贡物的六十一匹；And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and one.
40人一万六千名，其中归耶和华的三十二名。And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was thirty and two persons.
41摩西把贡物，就是归给耶和华的举祭，交给以利亚撒祭司，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD's heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.
42以色列人所得的另一半，是摩西从打仗的人取来分给他们的。And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,
43会众的这一半有羊三十三万七千五百只，(Now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep,
44牛三万六千头，And thirty and six thousand beeves,
45驴三万零五百匹，And thirty thousand asses and five hundred,
46人一万六千名。And sixteen thousand persons;)
47无论是人或牲畜，摩西都每五十取一，交给照管耶和华帐幕的利未人，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
48带领众军队的军官，就是千夫长、百夫长，进到摩西那里，And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:
49对他说：“你的仆人已经计算属下战士的总数，一个也没有少。And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
50如今我们把各人所得的金器，就是脚链子、手镯、打印的戒指、耳环、项链，都送给耶和华为供物，好在耶和华面前为我们赎罪。”We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.
51摩西和以利亚撒祭司就收了他们的金子，就是各样的首饰。And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.
52千夫长、百夫长所献给耶和华为举祭的金子共有一万六千七百五十舍客勒。And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.
53打仗的人都把自己所掠夺的各自留下。(For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)
54摩西和以利亚撒祭司收了千夫长、百夫长的金子，就带进会幕，好使以色列人在耶和华面前蒙记念。And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
