神惩罚以东
耶和华的话临到我，说：
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2“人子啊，你要面向西珥山，向它说预言，Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
3对它说，主耶和华如此说：西珥山，看哪，我与你为敌，必伸手攻击你，使你荒凉荒废。And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
4我必使你的城镇变为废墟，使你成为荒凉；你就知道我是耶和华。I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
5因为你永怀仇恨，在以色列人遭遇灾难、罪孽到了尽头时，把他们交给刀剑，Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
6所以主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，我必使你遭遇血的报应，血必追赶你；你既不恨恶血，血必追赶你。Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
7我要使西珥山荒凉荒废，把来往经过的人从它那里剪除。Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
8我要使西珥山布满被杀的人。被刀杀的要倒在小山和山谷，并一切的溪水中。And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
9我必使你永远荒凉，使你的城镇无人居住，你们就知道我是耶和华。I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
10“因为你曾说‘这二国、这二邦必归我，我们必得为业’，其实耶和华仍在那里；Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:
11所以主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，我必照你因仇恨向他们发的怒气和嫉妒对待你；我审判你的时候，要在他们中间显明自己。Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
12你必知道我─耶和华已听见你一切凌辱的话，是针对以色列群山说的：‘这些山荒凉了，它们是给我们作食物的。’And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
13你们用口向我说夸大的话，增多与我敌对的话，我都听见了。Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.
14主耶和华如此说：全地欢乐的时候，我必使你荒凉。Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
15你怎样因以色列家的地业荒凉而喜乐，我也要照你所做的对待你。西珥山哪，你和以东全地都必荒凉；人就知道☛“人就知道”：七十士译本是“你就知道”。我是耶和华。”As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
