亚伯拉罕和亚比米勒
亚伯拉罕从那里往尼革夫迁移，寄居在加低斯和书珥之间的基拉耳。
And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
2亚伯拉罕称他的妻子撒拉为妹妹。基拉耳王亚比米勒派人把撒拉带走。And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
3夜间，神在梦中来到亚比米勒那里，对他说：“看哪，你要死了，因为你带来的女人，她是有丈夫的女子！”But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.
4亚比米勒还未亲近撒拉；他说：“主啊，连公义的国，你也要毁灭吗？But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, LORD, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?
5那人岂不是自己对我说‘她是我妹妹’吗？连这女人自己也说：‘他是我哥哥。’我做这事是心正手洁的。”Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
6神在梦中对他说：“我也知道你做这事是心中正直的；是我拦阻了你，免得你得罪我。所以我不让你侵犯她。And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
7现在你当把这人的妻子归还给他；因为他是先知，他要为你祷告，使你存活。你若不归还，你当知道，你和你所有的人都必定死。”Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
8亚比米勒清早起来，叫了他的众臣仆来，把这一切事说给他们听，他们就很害怕。Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.
9亚比米勒召了亚伯拉罕来，对他说：“你怎么向我这样做呢？我什么事得罪你，你竟使我和我的国陷在大罪中呢？你对我做了不该做的事了！”Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
10亚比米勒对亚伯拉罕说：“你看见什么才做这事呢？”And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
11亚伯拉罕说：“我以为这地方的人根本不敬畏神，必为我妻子的缘故杀我。And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.
12况且她也真是我的妹妹；她与我是同父异母的，后来作了我的妻子。And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
13当神叫我离开父家、飘流在外的时候，我对她说：我们无论走到什么地方，你要对人说：‘他是我哥哥’，这就是你以慈爱待我了。”And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
14亚比米勒把牛、羊、奴仆、婢女送给亚伯拉罕，也把他的妻子撒拉归还给他。And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.
15亚比米勒说：“看哪，我的地都在你面前，你看为好的地方就居住吧。”And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
16他对撒拉说：“看哪，我给你哥哥一千银子。看哪，这要在你全家人面前遮羞☛“羞”：原文是“眼”。，向众人证实你是清白的。”And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.
17亚伯拉罕向神祷告，神就医好亚比米勒和他的妻子，以及他的使女们，他们就能生育。So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
18因耶和华为亚伯拉罕的妻子撒拉的缘故，已经使亚比米勒家中的妇人不能怀孕。For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.
