亚伯拉罕买坟地葬撒拉
撒拉享寿一百二十七岁，这是撒拉一生的岁数☛七十士译本没有“这是...岁数”。。
And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah.
2撒拉死在迦南地的基列．亚巴，就是希伯仑。亚伯拉罕来哀悼撒拉，为她哭泣。And Sarah died in Kirjatharba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
3然后，亚伯拉罕起来，离开死人面前，对赫人说：And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying,
4“我在你们中间是外人，是寄居的。请给我你们那里的一块坟地，我好埋葬我的亡妻，使她不在我的面前。”I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.
5赫人回答亚伯拉罕说：And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,
6“我主请听。你在我们中间是一位尊贵的王子，只管在我们最好的坟地里埋葬你的死人；我们没有一人会拒绝你在他的坟地里埋葬你的死人。”Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.
7于是，亚伯拉罕起来，向当地的百姓赫人下拜，And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.
8对他们说：“你们若愿意让我埋葬我的亡妻，使她不在我面前，就请听我，为我求琐辖的儿子以弗仑，And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,
9把他田地尽头的麦比拉洞卖给我。他可以按照足价卖给我，作为我在你们中间的坟地。”That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.
10那时，以弗仑正坐在赫人中间。赫人以弗仑就回答亚伯拉罕，说给所有出入城门的赫人听：And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,
11“不，我主请听。我要把这块田送给你，连田间的洞也送给你，在我同族的人眼前都给你，让你埋葬你的死人。”Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.
12亚伯拉罕就在当地的百姓面前下拜，And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.
13对以弗仑说，也给当地百姓听：“你若应允，请你听我。我要把田的价钱给你，请你收下，我就在那里埋葬我的死人。”And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.
14以弗仑回答亚伯拉罕说：And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,
15“我主请听。四百舍客勒银子的地，在你我中间算什么呢？只管埋葬你的死人吧！”My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.
16亚伯拉罕听从了以弗仑。亚伯拉罕就照着他说给赫人听的，把买卖通用的银子，秤了四百舍客勒银子给以弗仑。And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.
17于是，以弗仑把那块位于幔利对面的麦比拉田，和其中的洞，以及田间周围的树木都成交了，And the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure
18在所有出入城门的赫人眼前，卖给亚伯拉罕作为他的产业。Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city.
19后来，亚伯拉罕把他妻子撒拉安葬在迦南地幔利对面的麦比拉田间的洞里，幔利就是希伯仑。And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.
20从此，那块田和田间的洞就从赫人移交给亚伯拉罕作坟地的产业。And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.
