大卫对建殿的指示
大卫召集以色列所有的领袖，各支派的领袖、轮班服事王的官长、千夫长、百夫长、掌管王和王子一切产业牲畜的、宫廷官员、勇士，和所有大能的勇士，都到耶路撒冷来。
And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.
2大卫王站起来，说：“我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，请听我说！我心里本想建造殿宇，安放耶和华的约柜，作为我们神的脚凳，并且我已经预备了建造的材料。Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:
3只是神对我说：‘你不可为我的名建造殿宇，因你是战士，流了人的血。’But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.
4然而，耶和华－以色列的神在我父的全家拣选我作以色列的王，直到永远。因他拣选犹大为领袖，在犹大家中拣选我父家，在我父的众儿子里喜悦我，立我作全以色列的王。Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:
5耶和华赐我许多儿子，在我儿子中拣选我儿子所罗门坐耶和华国度的王位，治理以色列。And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
6耶和华对我说：‘你儿子所罗门必建造我的殿和院宇，因为我拣选他作我的子，我也必作他的父。And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
7他若恒久遵行我的诫命典章如今日一样，我就必坚定他的国，直到永远。’Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.
8现今在以色列众人眼前，在耶和华的会中，在我们神的垂听下，你们务要遵行并寻求耶和华－你们神的一切诫命，如此你们就可以承受这美地，并留给你们的子孙，永远为业。Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
9“我儿所罗门哪，你当认识耶和华－你父的神，全心乐意地事奉他，因为耶和华鉴察众人的心，知道一切心思意念。你若寻求他，他必使你寻见；你若离弃他，他必永远丢弃你。And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
10现在你当谨慎，因耶和华拣选你建造殿宇作为圣所。你当刚强去做。”Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
11大卫指示他儿子所罗门有关殿的走廊、屋子、库房、楼房、内殿和柜盖☛“柜盖”：原意“盖住”，指“盖住罪”，后来也称为“施恩座”。之处的样式，Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat,
12被灵感动所得的一切样式：耶和华殿的院子、周围一切的房屋、神殿的库房和圣物库房；And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:
13祭司和利未人的班次，耶和华殿里各样事奉的工作，耶和华殿里一切事奉用的器皿，Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD.
14以及各样事奉所用金器的重量，和各样事奉所用银器的重量，He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:
15金灯台和金灯的重量，按每一个灯台和灯的重量；银灯台和银灯的重量，按每一个灯台和灯的重量，都按照每一个灯台的用途；Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.
16每张供饼桌子的金子重量，和银桌子的银子重量，And by weight he gave gold for the tables of shewbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver:
17纯金的肉叉子、盘子，和壶的重量，金碗，按每个金碗的重量，和银碗，按每个银碗的重量，Also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason; and likewise silver by weight for every bason of silver:
18纯金香坛的重量，金基路伯座车的样式，基路伯张开翅膀，遮盖耶和华的约柜。And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
19大卫说：“这一切，所有工作的样式，是耶和华用手写的文件使我明白的。”All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.
20大卫又对他儿子所罗门说：“你当刚强壮胆去做！不要惧怕，也不要惊惶，因为耶和华神，我的神与你同在。他必不撇下你，也不丢弃你，直到耶和华殿的工作都完毕。And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
21看哪，有祭司和利未人的班次，为要办理神殿各样的事务，又有擅长做各样事务的人，乐意在各样工作上帮助你，并且领袖和众百姓也都听从你的一切命令。”And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.
