准备迎接约柜
大卫在大卫城为自己建造宫殿，又为神的约柜预备地方，支搭帐幕。
And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2那时大卫说：“除了利未人之外，无人可抬神的约柜，因为耶和华拣选他们抬神的约柜，永远事奉他。”Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
3大卫召集以色列众人到耶路撒冷，要将耶和华的约柜接到他所预备的地方。And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
4大卫又召集亚伦的子孙和利未人：And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
5哥辖子孙中有领袖乌列和他的弟兄一百二十人，Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:
6米拉利子孙中有领袖亚帅雅和他的弟兄二百二十人，Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
7革顺子孙中有领袖约珥和他的弟兄一百三十人，Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty:
8以利撒反子孙中有领袖示玛雅和他的弟兄二百人，Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
9希伯伦子孙中有领袖以利业和他的弟兄八十人，Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:
10乌薛子孙中有领袖亚米拿达和他的弟兄一百一十二人。Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.
11大卫召来撒督和亚比亚他二位祭司，以及利未人乌列、亚帅雅、约珥、示玛雅、以利业、亚米拿达，And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12对他们说：“你们是利未人的族长，你们和你们的弟兄应当使自己分别为圣，好将耶和华－以色列神的约柜接到我所预备的地方。And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13因为你们上一次没有抬这约柜，并且我们没有按规矩求问耶和华－我们的神，所以他冲出来攻击我们。”For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
14于是祭司和利未人使自己分别为圣，将耶和华－以色列神的约柜接上来。So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
15利未子孙用杠，把神的约柜抬在肩上，正如摩西按照耶和华的话所吩咐的。And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
16大卫吩咐利未人的领袖派他们歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和钹的乐器奏乐，欢欢喜喜地大声歌颂。And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
17于是利未人派约珥的儿子希幔和他弟兄中比利家的儿子亚萨，以及他们同族弟兄米拉利子孙里古沙雅的儿子以探。So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18其次还有跟随他们的弟兄撒迦利雅、便．雅薛☛“便．雅薛”：有古卷和七十士译本是“雅薛”。、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、比拿雅、玛西雅、玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅，以及门口的守卫俄别．以东和耶利。And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, the porters.
19歌唱的希幔、亚萨和以探，敲铜钹，声音响亮；So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;
20撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、玛西雅、比拿雅鼓瑟，调用女音；And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;
21玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅、俄别．以东、耶利、亚撒西雅用琴指挥，调用第八。And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
22基拿尼雅是利未人圣咏团的领袖，又教导人唱歌，因为他精通此事。And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.
23比利家和以利加拿是约柜的守卫。And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24示巴尼、约沙法、拿坦业、亚玛赛、撒迦利雅、比拿亚、以利以谢众祭司在神的约柜前吹号。俄别．以东和耶希亚也是约柜的守卫。约柜迁入耶路撒冷

And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25于是，大卫和以色列的长老，以及千夫长都去，欢欢喜喜地将耶和华的约柜从俄别．以东家中接上来。So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.
26神赐恩给抬耶和华约柜的利未人，他们就献上七头公牛、七只公羊。And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
27大卫和所有抬约柜的利未人，以及圣咏团的领袖基拿尼雅和歌唱的人，都穿着细麻布外袍；大卫另外穿着细麻布以弗得。And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
28这样，以色列众人欢呼、吹角、吹号、敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴，声音响亮，将耶和华的约柜接上来。Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
29耶和华的约柜进大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户里往外观看，见大卫王踊跃跳舞，心里就轻视他。And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.
