拿单传给大卫的信息
（撒下7．1－17）
大卫住在自己宫中，对拿单先知说：“看哪，我住在香柏木的宫中，耶和华的约柜却在幔子里。”
Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains.
2拿单对大卫说：“你可以完全照你的心意去做，因为神与你同在。”Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thine heart; for God is with thee.
3当夜神的话临到拿单，说：And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
4“你去对我仆人大卫说：‘耶和华如此说：你不可建造殿宇给我居住。Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:
5自从我领以色列人上来，直到今日，我未曾住过殿宇；我从这会幕到那会幕，从这帐幕到那帐幕☛原文没有“到那帐幕”。。For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.
6凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一个士师，就是我吩咐牧养我百姓的，说过这话：你们为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?
7现在，你要对我仆人大卫这样说：‘万军之耶和华如此说：我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再牧放羊群，立你作我百姓以色列的君王。Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
8你无论往哪里去，我都与你同在，剪除你所有的仇敌。我必使你得大名，好像世上伟人的名一样。And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
9我必为我百姓以色列选定一个地方，栽植他们，使他们住自己的地方，不再受搅扰；凶恶之子也不再像从前那样扰乱他们，Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
10并不像我命令士师治理我百姓以色列的日子。我必制伏你所有的仇敌，并且我应许你☛“我应许你”：七十士译本是“我要使你为大”。，耶和华必为你建立家室。And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house.
11当你寿数满足归你祖先的时候，我必使你的后裔，你自己的儿子接续你；我也必坚定他的国。And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
12他必为我建造殿宇，我必坚定他的王位，直到永远。He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.
13我要作他的父，他要作我的子；我必不使我的慈爱离开他，像离开在你以前的那位一样。I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee:
14我要永远坚立他在我的家和我的国里；他的王位也必坚定，直到永远。’”But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
15拿单就按这一切话，照这一切异象告诉大卫。感恩的祷告

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
16于是大卫王进去，坐在耶和华面前，说：“耶和华神啊，我是谁，我的家算什么，你竟带领我到这地步呢？And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
17神啊，这在你眼中还看为小，你又说到你仆人的家将来的情况。耶和华神啊，你看顾我好像看顾尊贵的人。And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
18你加于仆人的尊荣，大卫还有什么可以对你说呢？你是知道你仆人的。What can David speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
19耶和华啊，因你仆人的缘故，也照着你的心意，你行这一切大事，为了显明这一切伟大的事。O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
20耶和华啊，照我们耳中一切所听见的，没有可比你的，除你以外再没有神。O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
21世上有何国能比你的百姓以色列呢？神亲自去救赎世上的一国☛“世上...一国”：七十士译本是“世上没有另一国能比你的百姓以色列，是神亲自去救赎”。，作自己的子民，又行大而可畏的事，显出你的大名，在你从埃及赎出来的子民面前驱逐了列国。And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?
22你使你的百姓以色列作你的子民，直到永远；你－耶和华也作他们的神。For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.
23现在，耶和华啊，你所应许仆人和仆人家的话，求你坚定，直到永远；求你照你所说的而行。Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
24愿你的名永远坚立，被尊为大，人要说：‘万军之耶和华－以色列的神，是以色列的神。’这样，你仆人大卫的家必在你面前坚立。Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.
25我的神啊，因你启示你的仆人，要为他建立家室，所以仆人大胆在你面前祈祷。For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.
26现在，耶和华啊，惟有你是神！你应许将这福气赐给仆人。And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
27现在，你喜悦赐福给仆人的家，可以永存在你面前。耶和华啊，因你已经赐福，还要赐福到永远。”Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.
