耶和华给他子民的应许
耶和华的话临到耶利米，说：
The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2“耶和华－以色列的神如此说：你要将我对你说过的一切话都写在书上。Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
3看哪，日子将到，我要使我的百姓以色列和犹大被掳的人归回。这是耶和华说的。耶和华说：我要使他们回到我所赐给他们祖先之地，他们就得这地为业。”For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
4以下是耶和华论到以色列和犹大所说的话：And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
5耶和华如此说： “我们听见颤抖的声音， 令人惧怕，没有平安。For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
6你们且访查看看， 男人会生孩子吗？ 我怎么看见人人都用手撑腰， 像临产的妇人， 脸都发白了呢？Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
7哀哉！☛“脸都...哀哉！”：七十士译本是“脸都变白了。”那日为大， 无日可比； 这是雅各遭难的时刻， 但他必从患难中得拯救。”Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.
8万军之耶和华说：“到那日，我必折断你颈项上仇敌的轭，拉断你的皮带。陌生人必不再使他作奴隶。For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
9他们却要事奉耶和华－他们的神，事奉我为他们所兴起的大卫王。”But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
10我的仆人雅各啊，不要惧怕； 以色列啊，不要惊惶； 因我从远方拯救你， 从被掳之地拯救你的后裔； 雅各必回来得享平静安逸， 无人能使他害怕。 这是耶和华说的。Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
11因我与你同在，要拯救你， 也要将那些国灭绝净尽， 就是我赶你去的那些国； 却不将你灭绝净尽， 倒要从宽惩治你， 但绝不能不罚你。 这是耶和华说的。For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
12耶和华如此说： “你的损伤无法医治， 你的伤痕极其重大。For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
13无人为你的伤痛辩护， 也没有可医治你的良药。There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
14你所亲爱的都忘记你， 不来探望你。 我因你罪孽甚大，罪恶众多， 曾藉仇敌加的伤害伤害你， 藉残忍者惩治你。All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
15你为何因所受的损伤哀号呢？ 你的痛苦无法医治。 我因你罪孽甚大，罪恶众多， 曾将这些加在你身上。Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
16因此，凡吞吃你的必被吞吃， 你的敌人个个都被掳去； 掳掠你的必成为掳物， 我使抢夺你的成为掠物。Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
17我必使你痊愈， 医好你的伤痕， 都因人称你为被赶散的， 这是锡安，是无人来探望的！ 这是耶和华说的。”For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
18耶和华如此说： “看哪，我必使雅各被掳去的帐棚归回， 也必顾惜他的住处。 城必建造在原有的废墟上， 宫殿也必照样有人居住。Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19必有感谢和欢乐的声音从其中发出， 我使他们增多，不致减少； 使他们尊荣，不致卑微。And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20他们的儿女必如往昔； 他们的会众坚立在我面前； 凡欺压他们的，我必惩罚。Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
21他们的君王是他们自己的人， 掌权的必出自他们。 我要使他接近我， 他也要亲近我； 不然，谁敢放胆亲近我呢？ 这是耶和华说的。And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.
22你们要作我的子民， 我要作你们的神。”And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
23看哪，耶和华的愤怒 如暴风已经发出； 是扫灭的暴风， 必转到恶人的头上。Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
24耶和华的烈怒必不转消， 直到他心中所定的成就了，实现了； 末后的日子你们就会明白。The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
