耶利米警告犹大王
耶和华如此说：“你要下到犹大王的宫中，在那里说这话，
Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,
2你要说：‘坐大卫宝座的犹大王啊，你和你的臣仆，并进入这些城门的百姓，都当听耶和华的话。And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
3耶和华如此说：你们要施行公平和公义，拯救被抢夺的脱离欺压者的手，不可亏负寄居的和孤儿寡妇，不可用残暴对待他们，也不可在这地方流无辜人的血。Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
4你们若切实遵行这话，就必有坐大卫宝座的君王和他的臣仆百姓，或坐车或骑马，从这王宫的各门进入。For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
5你们若不听这些话，我指着自己起誓，这王宫必变为废墟。这是耶和华说的。’But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.
6耶和华论到犹大王的家如此说： “我看你如基列， 如黎巴嫩的山顶； 然而，我必使你变为旷野， 成为无人居住的城镇。For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.
7我要预备施行毁灭的人， 各人佩带兵器攻击你； 他们要砍伐你佳美的香柏树， 扔在火中。And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
8“许多国的百姓经过这城，就彼此谈论说：‘耶和华为何向这大城这样做呢？’And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city?
9必有人回答说：‘是因他们离弃了耶和华－他们神的约，事奉敬拜别神。’”关于约哈斯
Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.
10不要为已死的人哀哭， 也不要为他悲伤， 却要为离家外出的人大大哀哭； 因为他不再回来见自己的出生地。Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.
11因为论到离开这地方的约西亚之子犹大王沙龙☛“沙龙”：王下23．30称“约哈斯”。，就是接续他父亲约西亚作王的，耶和华这样说：“他必不再回到这里来，For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:
12却要死在被掳去的地方，必不得再见这地。”关于约雅敬
But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.
13祸哉！那以不公义盖房，以不公平造楼， 白白使邻舍做工，却不给工钱的人，Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
14他说：“我要为自己盖宽敞的房，盖高大的楼。” 他为它开窗户， 以香柏木为墙板， 漆上丹红色。That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
15难道你作王就是要盖香柏木楼房争胜的吗？ 你的父亲岂不是也吃也喝， 也施行公平和公义吗？ 那时他得了福乐。Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?
16他为困苦和贫穷的人伸冤， 那时就得了福乐。 认识我不就在此吗？ 这是耶和华说的。He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD.
17你的眼和你的心却专顾不义之财， 流无辜人的血， 行欺压和残暴。But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
18所以，耶和华论到约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬如此说： 人必不为他举哀： “哀哉，我的哥哥！ 哀哉，我的姊姊！” 也不为他举哀： “哀哉，我的主！ 哀哉，我主的荣华！”Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!
19他被埋葬好像埋驴子一样， 被拖出去，扔在耶路撒冷城门外。关于耶路撒冷百姓的命运
He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
20你要上黎巴嫩哀号， 在巴珊扬声， 从亚巴琳哀号， 因为你所亲爱的都毁灭了。Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed.
21你兴盛的时候，我对你说话； 你却说：“我不听。” 你从年轻时就是这样， 不肯听我的话。I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.
22你的牧人要被风吞吃， 你所亲爱的必被掳去； 那时你必因你一切的恶行抱愧蒙羞。The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.
23你这住黎巴嫩、在香柏树上搭窝的， 有痛苦临到你， 如疼痛临到临产的妇人， 那时你何等可怜☛“何等可怜”：七十士译本和其他古译本是“就会呻吟”。！O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!
神审判哥尼雅
24耶和华说：“约雅敬的儿子犹大王哥尼雅☛“哥尼雅”即“耶哥尼雅”，又名“约雅斤”；参王下24．6，耶24．1。，虽是我右手上带印的戒指，我凭我的永生起誓，我必将你从其上摘下来。As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;
25我要将你交在寻索你命的人和你所惧怕的人手中，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒和迦勒底人手中。And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
26我也要将你和生你的母亲赶到别国，不是你们出生的地方；你们必死在那里，And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.
27心中虽然很想归回那地，却不得归回。”But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.
28哥尼雅这人是被轻看、遭毁坏的罐子， 是无人喜爱的器皿吗？ 他和他的后裔为何被赶到素不认识之地呢？Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?
29地啊，地啊，地啊，当听耶和华的话！O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.
30耶和华如此说： “要把这人登记为无子， 是平生不得亨通的人； 因为他后裔中再无一人得亨通， 能坐在大卫的宝座上治理犹大。”Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
