呼召以色列悔改
耶和华说：“以色列啊， 你若回转，回转归向我， 若从我眼前除掉你可憎的偶像， 不再犹疑不定，If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.
2凭诚实、公平、公义 指着永生的耶和华起誓； 列国就必因他蒙福， 也必因他夸耀。”And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
3耶和华对犹大人和耶路撒冷人如此说： “你们要为自己开垦荒地， 不要撒种在荆棘里。For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
4犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪， 你们当自行割礼，归耶和华， 将你们心里的污秽☛“污秽”：原文是“包皮”。除掉； 免得我的愤怒因你们的恶行发作， 如火燃起， 甚至无人能熄灭！”外患威胁犹大
Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
5你们要在犹大传扬， 在耶路撒冷宣告，说： “当在国中吹角，高声呼叫说： ‘你们当聚集！ 我们好进入坚固城！’Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.
6应当向锡安竖立大旗。 逃吧，不要迟延， 因我必使灾祸与大毁灭从北方来到。Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
7有狮子从密林中上来， 是毁坏列国的。 它已动身出离本处， 要使你的地荒凉， 使你的城镇变为废墟，无人居住。The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.
8因此，你们当腰束麻布，哭泣哀号， 因为耶和华的烈怒并未转离我们。”For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.
9耶和华说：“到那时，君王和领袖的心要失丧，祭司都要惊奇，先知都要诧异。”And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
10我说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，你真是大大欺哄这百姓和耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必得平安。’其实刀剑已经抵住喉咙了！”Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.
11那时，必有话对这百姓和耶路撒冷说：“来自旷野光秃高地的热风吹向我的百姓☛“我的百姓”：原文直译“我百姓的女儿”。，不是为簸扬，也不是为扬净。At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,
12又有一阵比这更大的风向我刮来；现在，我要向他们宣读我的判决。”犹大被围困
Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.
13看哪，他必如云涌上； 他的战车如旋风， 他的马比鹰更快。 我们有祸了！ 我们败落了！Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.
14耶路撒冷啊，你当洗去心中的恶， 使你可以得救。 恶念在你里面要存到几时呢？O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
15有声音从但传出， 有灾祸从以法莲山传来。For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.
16你们当传给列国， 看哪，要向耶路撒冷报告： “有围攻的人从远方来到， 向犹大的城镇大声喊叫。Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.
17他们包围耶路撒冷， 好像看守田园的， 因为它背叛了我。 这是耶和华说的。As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.
18你的作风和行为招惹这事； 这是你罪恶的结果， 实在是苦， 刺透了你的心！”耶利米为同胞担忧
Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.
19我的肺腑啊，我的肺腑啊，我心疼痛！ 我的心在我里面烦躁不安。 我不能静默不言， 因我已听见角声和打仗的喊声。My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
20毁坏的信息不断传来， 因为全地荒废。 我的帐棚忽然毁坏， 我的幔子顷刻破裂。Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.
21我看见大旗，听见角声， 要到几时呢？How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?
22“我的百姓愚顽，不认识我； 他们是愚昧无知的儿女， 有智慧行恶，没有知识行善。”将要来临的毁灭
For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
23我观看地， 看哪，地是空虚混沌； 我观看天，天也无光。I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
24我观看大山，看哪，尽都震动， 小山也都摇来摇去。I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25我观看，看哪，无人； 空中的飞鸟也都躲避。I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.
26我观看，看哪，肥田变为荒地； 所有城镇在耶和华面前， 因他的烈怒都被拆毁。I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.
27耶和华如此说：“全地必然荒凉， 我却不毁灭净尽。For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
28因此，地要悲哀， 天上也必黑暗； 因为我言已出，我意已定， 必不改变，也不由此转回。”For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.
29各城的人因骑兵和弓箭手的响声就都逃跑， 进入密林，爬上磐石； 城镇都被抛弃， 无人住在其中。The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.
30你这被毁灭的啊， 你要做什么呢？ 你穿上朱红衣服， 佩戴黄金饰物， 用眼影修饰眼睛， 徒然美化你自己。 恋慕你的却藐视你， 寻索你的性命。And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.
31我听见有仿佛妇人临产的声音， 好像是生头胎疼痛的声音， 原来是锡安☛“锡安”：原文直译“锡安女子”。的声音； 她喘着气，伸开手： “我有祸了！ 在杀人者跟前，我的心灵发昏。”For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.
