耶利米负轭
约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬☛“约雅敬”：有古卷是“西底家”；参3、12节。登基时，有这话从耶和华临到耶利米，说：
In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2“耶和华对我如此说：你要为自己做皮带和木轭，套在你的颈项上，Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,
3然后托那些来到耶路撒冷，到犹大王西底家那里的使节，把皮带和木轭送到以东王、摩押王、亚扪王、推罗王、西顿王那里，And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
4且嘱咐他们转达他们的主人。万军之耶和华－以色列的神如此说，你们要对你们的主人这样说：And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
5我用大能和伸出来的膀臂创造大地和地上的人民、牲畜。我看给谁合适，就把地给谁。I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
6现在我将全地都交在我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒手中，也把野地的走兽给他使用。And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
7列国都要服事他和他的子孙，直到他本国遭报的日期来到；那时，许多国家和大君王要使他作奴隶。And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
8“无论哪一邦、哪一国，不肯服事巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，不把颈项放在他的轭下，我必用刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫惩罚那邦，直到我藉巴比伦王的手毁灭他们。这是耶和华说的。And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
9至于你们，不可听从你们的先知和占卜的、做梦的☛“做梦的”是根据七十士译本和其他古译本；原文是“梦”。、观星象的，以及行邪术的；他们对你们说：‘你们必不致服事巴比伦王。’Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
10他们向你们传的是假预言，要叫你们远离本地，以致我将你们赶出去，使你们灭亡。For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
11但哪一邦肯把颈项放在巴比伦王的轭下服事他，我必使那邦仍在本地存留，在那里耕种居住。这是耶和华说的。”But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
12我就照这一切话对犹大王西底家说：“你们要把颈项放在巴比伦王的轭下，服事他和他的百姓，就得存活。I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
13你和你的百姓何必因刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死亡，像耶和华所论不肯服事巴比伦王的国家呢？Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14不可听那些先知对你们所说的话，他们说：‘你们必不致服事巴比伦王’，其实他们向你们传的是假预言。Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
15耶和华说：‘我并未差遣他们，他们却托我的名传假预言，使我将你们和向你们说预言的那些先知赶出去，一同灭亡。’”For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.
16我又对祭司和这众百姓说：“耶和华如此说：你们不可听那先知对你们所说的预言，他们说：‘看哪，耶和华殿中的器皿快要从巴比伦带回来’；其实他们向你们传的是假预言。Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
17不可听从他们，只管服事巴比伦王，就得存活。何必使这城变为废墟呢？Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?
18他们若真是先知，有耶和华的话临到他们，让他们祈求万军之耶和华，使耶和华殿中和犹大王宫内，并耶路撒冷剩下的器皿，不致被带到巴比伦去。But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
19万军之耶和华这样论柱子、铜海、盆座，并留在这城里剩下的器皿，For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,
20就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒掳掠约雅敬的儿子犹大王耶哥尼雅，并犹大、耶路撒冷所有贵族时，没有从耶路撒冷掠去巴比伦的器皿。Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
21论到那在耶和华殿中和犹大王宫内，并耶路撒冷剩下的器皿，万军之耶和华－以色列的神如此说：Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
22它们必被带到巴比伦，存放在那里，直到我眷顾以色列人，将这些器皿带回归还此地的日子。这是耶和华说的。”They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
