耶利米被带到埃及
耶利米向众百姓说完了耶和华－他们神一切的话，就是耶和华－他们神差他去说的这一切话，
And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
2何沙雅的儿子亚撒利雅和加利亚的儿子约哈难，以及所有狂傲的人，就对耶利米说：“你说谎！耶和华－我们的神并没有差遣你说：‘你们不可进入埃及，在那里寄居。’Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:
3这是尼利亚的儿子巴录挑唆你害我们，要把我们交在迦勒底人手中，使我们被杀或被掳到巴比伦去。”But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.
4加利亚的儿子约哈难和所有的军官、百姓，都不肯听从耶和华的话留在犹大地。So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.
5加利亚的儿子约哈难和所有的军官却将幸存的犹大人，就是从被赶到的各国回来，在犹大地寄居的男人、妇女、孩童和众公主，并尼布撒拉旦护卫长留在沙番的孙子，亚希甘的儿子基大利那里的众人，与耶利米先知，以及尼利亚的儿子巴录，But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;
6都带入埃及地，到了答比匿；这是因他们不肯听从耶和华的话。Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.
7在答比匿，耶和华的话临到耶利米，说：So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
8“你要在犹大人眼前用手拿几块大石头，藏在答比匿法老的宫门砌砖的石墩上，Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
9对他们说：‘万军之耶和华－以色列的神如此说：看哪，我必召我的仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒前来，安置他的宝座在所藏的这些石头上；他要在其上支搭华丽的帐幕。Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
10他要来攻击埃及地： 定为死亡的，必致死亡； 定为掳掠的，必遭掳掠； 定为刀杀的，必被刀杀。And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
11我要用火点燃埃及众神明的庙宇，巴比伦王要焚烧庙宇，掳去神像；他要围住埃及地，好像牧人披上外衣，从那里安然而去。And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.
12他必打碎埃及地伯．示麦的柱像，用火焚烧埃及众神明的庙宇。’”And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.
