Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!
2惟愿在旷野有旅客的客栈， 我好离开我的百姓而去； 因他们全都行奸淫， 是行诡诈的一党。Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.
3他们弯起舌头像弓， 为要说谎话； 他们在国中增长势力， 不是为诚信。 他们恶上加恶， 并不认识我。 这是耶和华说的。And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.
4你们各人当谨防邻舍， 不可信赖弟兄； 因为弟兄尽行欺骗， 邻舍也都往来毁谤人。Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.
5他们互相欺骗， 不说真话， 训练自己的舌头说谎， 竭尽所能地作恶。And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.
6你居住在诡诈的人中； 他们因行诡诈☛“竭尽...因行诡诈”：七十士译本是“他们不停地作恶，不知悔改；压迫又压迫，欺骗又欺骗 ”。，不愿意认识我。 这是耶和华说的。Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.
7所以万军之耶和华如此说： “看哪，我要熬炼他们，考验他们； 不然，为了我的百姓☛“我的百姓”：原文直译“我百姓的女儿”。，我该如何行呢？Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
8他们的舌头是毒箭，说话诡诈， 跟邻舍口说平安， 心却谋害他。Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.
9我岂不因这些事向他们施行惩罚吗？ 像这样的国家，我岂能不报复呢？ 这是耶和华说的。”Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
10我要为山岭哭泣悲哀， 为旷野的草场扬声哀号； 因为都已枯焦，甚至无人经过。 牲畜的鸣叫听不见， 空中的飞鸟和地上的走兽也都逃离。For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
11我必使耶路撒冷成为废墟，为野狗的住处， 也必使犹大的城镇荒废，无人居住。And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.
12谁是智慧人，可以明白这事？耶和华的口可向谁述说，使他传讲呢？这地为何毁灭，枯焦如旷野，无人经过呢？Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?
13耶和华说：“因为这百姓离弃我在他们面前所设立的律法，不听从我的话，不肯遵行，And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
14反随从自己顽梗的心行事，照他们祖先所教训的随从诸巴力。”But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
15所以万军之耶和华－以色列的神如此说：“看哪，我必将茵陈给这百姓吃，又用苦水给他们喝。Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
16我要把他们分散在他们和他们祖宗所不认识的列国；我也要使刀剑追杀他们，直到将他们灭尽。”耶路撒冷哀求援助
I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.
17万军之耶和华如此说： “你们要考虑， 将唱哀歌的妇女召来， 差人召善哭的妇女前来，Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come:
18叫她们速速为我们举哀， 使我们泪眼汪汪， 使我们的眼皮涌出泪水。And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
19因为有哀声从锡安传来： ‘我们竟然败落！ 我们何等惭愧！ 我们撇下土地， 人拆毁了我们的房屋。’”For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.
20妇女们哪，当听耶和华的话， 领受他口中的言语； 当教导你们的女儿举哀， 各人教导女伴唱哀歌。Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation.
21因为死亡从窗户进来， 进入我们的宫殿， 从外边剪除孩童， 从街上剪除少年。For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.
22你当说，耶和华如此说： 人的尸首必倒在田野像粪土， 又像收割的人身后遗落的禾稼， 无人拾取。Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.
23耶和华如此说：“智慧人不要因他的智慧夸口，勇士不要因他的力气夸口，财主也不要因他的财富夸口；Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
24夸口的却要夸自己有聪明，认识我是耶和华，知道我喜悦在世上施行慈爱、公平和公义。这是耶和华说的。But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
25“看哪，日子将到，这是耶和华说的，我要惩罚只在肉身受割礼的人，Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
26就是埃及、犹大、以东、亚扪人、摩押人，和住旷野所有剃鬓发的人；因为列国都未受割礼，以色列全家心中也未受割礼。”Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.
