希西家王罹病和痊愈
（王下20．1－11；代下32．24－26）
那些日子，希西家病得要死，亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚先知来见他，对他说：“耶和华如此说：‘你当留遗嘱给你的家，因为你必死，不能活了。’”
In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
2希西家就转脸朝墙，向耶和华祷告，Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,
3说：“耶和华啊，求你记念我在你面前怎样存完全的心，按诚实行事，又做你眼中看为善的事。”希西家就痛哭。And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4耶和华的话临到以赛亚说：Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
5“你去告诉希西家说，耶和华－你祖先大卫的神如此说：‘我听见了你的祷告，看见了你的眼泪。看哪，我必加添你十五年的寿数；Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
6我要救你和这城脱离亚述王的手，也要保护这城。’And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.
7“耶和华必成就他所说的这话。这是耶和华给你的预兆：And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;
8看哪，我要使亚哈斯日晷上随太阳前进的影子，往后退十度。”于是，在日晷上照下来的日影果然往后退了十度。Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
9犹大王希西家患病痊愈后的诗：The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:
10我说，在如日中天的时候我就走了， 将剩余的年岁交给阴间的门。☛本节或译“我说，在如日中天的时候，我必进入阴间的门，不得享受剩余的年岁。”I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.
11我说，我必不得见耶和华，不得在活人之地见耶和华， 也不再看见世人，就是短暂世界☛“短暂世界”：有古卷是“世界”。中的居民。I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
12我的住处好像牧人的帐棚， 遭人掀起，离我而去； 我将性命卷起， 像织布的卷布一样。 他从织布机头那里将我剪断， 你使我命丧于旦夕。Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
13我令自己安静☛“我令自己安静”：死海古卷是“我被压碎”；七十士译本是“我被放弃”。直到天亮； 他像狮子折断我所有的骨头， 你使我命丧于旦夕。I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
14我像燕子呢喃， 像白鹤鸣叫， 又如鸽子哀鸣； 我因仰望，眼睛困倦。 主啊，我受欺压， 求你为我作保。Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
15我还有什么可说的呢？ 他应许我的☛“他应许我的”：死海古卷是“我对他说的”。，他已成就了。 我因心里的苦楚， 在一生的年日必谦卑而行☛“在一生的年日必谦卑而行”：死海古卷是“我的睡眠溜走了”。。What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.
16主啊，人得存活是在乎此， 我的灵存活也全在乎此☛“我的灵...在乎此”：死海古卷是“万物的存活都因他的灵”。； 求你使我痊愈，仍然存活。O LORD, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
17看哪，我受大苦是为使我得平安； 你爱我，救我的性命脱离败坏的地府， 将我一切的罪扔在你背后。Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
18原来，阴间不能称谢你， 死亡不能颂扬你， 下到地府的人也不能盼望你的信实。For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
19只有活人，活人必称谢你， 像我今日称谢你一样。 为父的，必使儿女知道你的信实。The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
20耶和华肯救我， 所以，我们要一生一世 在耶和华殿中 弹奏我弦乐的歌。The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.
21以赛亚说：“拿一块无花果饼来，贴在疮上，王必痊愈。”For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.
22希西家说：“我能上耶和华的殿，有什么预兆呢？”☛死海古卷没有 21、22 节。Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?
