传给亚哈斯王的信息
乌西雅的孙子，约坦的儿子，犹大王亚哈斯在位的时候，亚兰王利汛和利玛利的儿子以色列王比加上来攻打耶路撒冷，却不能攻取。
And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
2有人告诉大卫家说：“亚兰与以法莲已经结盟。”王的心和百姓的心就都颤动，好像林中的树被风吹动一样。And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
3耶和华对以赛亚说：“你和你的儿子施亚．雅述☛“施亚．雅述”意思是“余民要归回”。要出去，到上池的水沟尽头，往漂布地的大路上，迎见亚哈斯，Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field;
4对他说：‘你要谨慎，要镇定，不要害怕，不要因利汛和亚兰，以及利玛利的儿子这两个冒烟火把的头所发的烈怒而心里胆怯。And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
5因为亚兰、以法莲，和利玛利的儿子设恶谋要害你，说：Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
6我们要上去攻击犹大，扰乱它，攻破它来归我们，在其中立他比勒的儿子为王。Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
7主耶和华如此说： 这事必站立不住， 也不得成就。Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
8因为亚兰的首都是大马士革， 大马士革的领袖是利汛； 六十五年之内，以法莲必然国破族亡，For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.
9以法莲的首都是撒玛利亚； 撒玛利亚的领袖是利玛利的儿子。 你们若是不信， 必站立不稳。’”以马内利的记号
And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
10耶和华又吩咐亚哈斯：Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
11“你向耶和华－你的神求一个预兆：在阴间的深渊，或往上的高处。”Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
12但亚哈斯说：“我不求；我不试探耶和华。”But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
13以赛亚说：“听啊，大卫家！你们使人厌烦岂算小事，还要使我的神厌烦吗？And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
14因此，主自己要给你们一个预兆，看哪，必有童女怀孕生子，给他起名叫以马内利☛“以马内利”意思是“神与我们同在”。。Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15到他晓得弃恶择善的时候，他必吃乳酪与蜂蜜。Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
16因为在这孩子还不晓得弃恶择善之先，你所憎恶的那两个王的土地必被撇弃。For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
17耶和华必使亚述王临到你和你的百姓，并你的父家，自从以法莲脱离犹大的时候，未曾有过这样的日子。The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
18“那时，耶和华要呼叫，召来埃及江河源头的苍蝇和亚述地的蜂；And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
19它们都必飞来，停在陡峭的谷中、岩石缝里、一切荆棘丛中和片片草场上。And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.
20“那时，主必用大河外雇来的剃头刀，就是亚述王，剃去你的头发和脚毛，并要剃净你的胡须。In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.
21“那时，每一个人要养活一头母牛犊和两只母羊；And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;
22因为奶量充足，他就有乳酪可吃，国内剩余的人也都能吃乳酪与蜂蜜。And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.
23“那时，凡种一千棵葡萄树、价值一千银子的地方，必长出荆棘和蒺藜。And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.
24人到那里去，必带弓箭，因为遍地长满了荆棘和蒺藜。With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.
25所有锄头刨过的山地，你因惧怕荆棘和蒺藜，不敢到那里去；只能作放牛之处，羊群践踏之地。”And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.
