安慰的话
你们的神说： “要安慰，安慰我的百姓。Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2要对耶路撒冷说安慰的话， 向它宣告， 它的战争已结束， 它的罪孽已赦免； 它为自己一切的罪， 已从耶和华手中加倍受罚。”Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.
3有声音呼喊着： “要在旷野为耶和华预备道路， 在沙漠为我们的神修直大道。The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4一切山洼都要填满， 大小山冈都要削平； 陡峭的要变为平坦， 崎岖的必成为平原。Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5耶和华的荣耀必然显现， 凡有血肉之躯的都一同看见， 因为这是耶和华亲口说的。”And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
6有声音说：“你喊叫吧！” 我☛“我”是根据死海古卷和七十士译本；原文是“他”。说：“我喊叫什么呢？” 凡有血肉之躯的尽都如草， 他的一切荣美像野地的花。The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
7耶和华吹一口气， 草就枯干，花也凋谢。 百姓诚然是草；The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
8草必枯干，花必凋谢， 惟有我们神的话永远立定。The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
9报好信息的锡安哪， 要登高山； 报好信息的耶路撒冷啊， 要极力扬声。 扬声不要惧怕， 对犹大的城镇说： “看哪，你们的神！”O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
10看哪，主耶和华必以大能临到， 他的膀臂必为他掌权； 看哪，他的赏赐在他那里， 他的报应在他面前。Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
11他要像牧人牧养自己的羊群， 用膀臂聚集羔羊，抱在胸怀， 慢慢引导那乳养小羊的。以色列的神无可比拟
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
12谁曾用手心量诸水， 用手虎口量苍天， 用升斗盛大地的尘土， 用秤称山岭， 用天平称冈陵呢？Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
13谁曾测度耶和华的灵， 或作他的谋士指教他呢？Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
14他与谁商议， 谁教导他， 以公平的路指示他， 将知识传授与他， 又将通达的道指教他呢？With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
15看哪，列国都像水桶里的一滴， 又如天平上的微尘； 看哪，他举起众海岛，好像举起极微小之物。Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
16黎巴嫩不够当柴烧， 其中的走兽也不够作燔祭。And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
17列国在他面前如同不存在， 在他看来微不足道，只是虚空。All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
18你们究竟将谁比神， 用什么形像与他相较呢？To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
19至于偶像，匠人铸造它， 银匠用金子包裹它， 又为它铸造银链。The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
20没有能力捐献的人， 就挑选不易朽坏的木头， 为自己寻找巧匠， 竖立不会倒的偶像。He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
21你们岂不知道吗？ 岂未曾听见吗？ 难道没有人从起头就告诉你们吗？ 自从地的根基立定， 你们岂不明白吗？Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22神坐在地的穹窿之上， 地上的居民有如蚱蜢。 他铺张穹苍如幔子， 展开诸天如可住的帐棚。It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
23他使君王归于虚无， 使地上的审判官成为虚空。That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
24他们刚栽上， 刚种好， 根也刚扎在地里， 经他一吹，就都枯干； 旋风将他们吹去，像碎秸一样。Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
25那圣者说：“你们将谁与我相比， 与我相等呢？”To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
26你们要向上举目， 看是谁创造这万象， 按数目领出它们， 一一称其名， 以他的权能 和他的大能大力， 使它们一个都不缺。Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
27雅各啊，你为何说， 以色列啊，你为何言， “我的道路向耶和华隐藏， 我的冤屈神并不查问”？Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
28你岂不曾知道吗？ 你岂未曾听见吗？ 永在的神耶和华，创造地极的主， 他不疲乏，也不困倦； 他的智慧无法测度。Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29疲乏的，他赐能力； 软弱的，他加力量。He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30就是年轻人也要疲乏困倦， 强壮的也必全然跌倒。Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31但那等候耶和华的必重新得力。 他们必如鹰展翅上腾； 他们奔跑却不困倦， 行走却不疲乏。But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
