真正的禁食
你要大声喊叫，不要停止； 要扬声，好像吹角； 向我的百姓宣告他们的过犯， 向雅各家陈述他们的罪恶。Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
2他们天天寻求我， 乐意明白我的道， 好像行义的国家， 未离弃它的神的典章； 他们向我求问公义的判词， 喜悦亲近神。Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
3“我们禁食，你为何不看呢？ 我们刻苦己心，你为何不理会呢？” 看哪，你们禁食的时候仍追求私利， 剥削为你们做苦工的人。Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
4看哪，你们禁食，却起纷争兴讼， 以凶恶的拳头打人。 你们今日这种禁食 无法使你们的声音听闻于高处。Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
5这岂是我所要的禁食， 为人所用以刻苦己心的日子吗？ 我难道只是叫人如芦苇般低头， 铺上麻布和灰烬吗？ 你能称此为禁食， 为耶和华所悦纳的日子吗？Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
6我所要的禁食，岂不是要你松开凶恶的绳， 解开轭上的索， 使被欺压的得自由， 折断一切的轭吗？Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7岂不是要你把食物分给饥饿的人， 将流浪的穷人接到家中， 见赤身的给他衣服遮体， 而不隐藏自己避开你的骨肉吗？Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8这样，必有光如晨光破晓照耀你， 你也要快快得到医治； 你的公义在你前面行， 耶和华的荣光必作你的后盾。Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
9那时你求告，耶和华必应允； 你呼求，他必说：“我在这里。” 你若从你中间除掉重轭 和指摘人的指头，并发恶言的事，Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10向饥饿的人施怜悯， 使困苦的人得满足； 你在黑暗中就必得着光明， 你的幽暗必变如正午。And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11耶和华必时常引导你， 在干旱之地使你心满意足， 又使你骨头强壮。 你必如有水浇灌的园子， 又像水流不绝的泉源。And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12你们中间必有人起来修造久已荒废之处， 立起代代相承的根基。 你必称为修补裂痕的， 和重修路径给人居住的。守安息日者的报偿
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
13你若禁止自己的脚践踏安息日， 不在我的圣日做自己高兴的事， 称安息日为“可喜乐的”， 称耶和华的圣日为“可尊重的”， 尊敬这日， 不走自己的道路， 不求自己的喜悦， 也不随意说话；If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14那么，你就会以耶和华为乐。 耶和华要使你乘驾于地的高处， 又要以你祖先雅各的产业养育你； 这是耶和华亲口说的。Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
