17互相连接, 胶结一起,不能分开。They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
18它打喷嚏就发出光来, 它的眼睛好像晨曦☛“好像晨曦”:原文直译“好像清晨的眼皮”。。By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
19从它口中发出烧着的火把, 有火星飞迸出来;Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.
20从它鼻孔冒出烟来, 如烧开的锅在沸腾☛“在沸腾”:原文另译“和芦苇”。。Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
21它的气点着煤炭, 有火焰从它口中发出。His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.
22它颈项中存着劲力, 恐惧在它面前蹦跳。In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
23它的肉块紧紧结连, 紧贴其身,不能摇动。The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
24它的心结实如石头, 如下面的磨石那样结实。His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.
25它一起来,神明都恐惧, 因崩溃而惊慌失措。When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.
26人用刀剑扎它,是无用的, 枪、标枪、尖枪也一样。The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
27它以铁为干草, 以铜为烂木。He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.
28箭不能使它逃走, 它看弹石如碎秸。The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.
29它当棍棒作碎秸, 它嘲笑短枪的飕飕声。Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.
30它肚腹下面是尖瓦片; 它如钉耙刮过淤泥。Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.
31它使深渊滚沸如锅, 使海洋如锅中膏油。He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.
32它使走过以后的路发光, 令人觉得深渊如同白发。He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.
33尘世上没有像它那样的受造物, 一无所惧。Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.
34凡高大的,它盯着看; 它在一切狂傲的野兽中作王。”He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
