Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
2有人挪移地界, 抢夺群畜去放牧。Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
3他们拉走孤儿的驴, 强取寡妇的牛作抵押。They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
4他们使贫穷人离开正道; 世上的困苦人尽都隐藏。They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
5看哪,他们如同野驴出到旷野,殷勤寻找食物, 在野地给孩童糊口。Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
6他们收割别人田间的庄稼, 摘取恶人剩余的葡萄。They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
7他们终夜赤身无衣, 在寒冷中毫无遮盖。They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
8他们在山上被大雨淋湿, 因没有避身之处就拥抱磐石。They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
9又有人从母怀中抢走孤儿, 在困苦人身上强取抵押品☛“在困苦人身上强取抵押品”:原文另译“强取困苦人的婴孩作抵押”。。They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
10困苦人赤身无衣,到处流浪, 饿着肚子扛抬禾捆,They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
11他们在围墙内榨油, 踹压酒池,自己却口渴。Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
12在城内垂死的人呻吟, 受伤的人哀号; 神却不理会狂妄的事。Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.
13“又有人背弃光明, 不认识光明的道, 不留在光明的路上。They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
14杀人者黎明起来, 杀害困苦人和贫穷人, 夜间又作盗贼。The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
15奸夫的眼等候黄昏, 说:‘没有眼睛能见我’, 就把脸蒙住。The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.
16盗贼黑夜挖洞; 他们白日躲藏, 并不认识光明。In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
17他们全都看早晨如死荫, 因为他们熟悉死荫的惊骇。For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
18“恶人在水面上快速飘荡, 他们在地上所得的产业被诅咒; 无人再回到他们的葡萄园。He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
19干旱炎热融化雪水; 阴间也如此吞没犯罪的人。Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
20怀他的母胎忘记他; 虫子要吃他,觉得甘甜; 他不再被人记念; 不义的人必如树折断。The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
21“他与不怀孕不生育的妇人交往☛“他与...交往”:七十士译本和其他古译本是“他恶待不怀孕的妇人”。, 却不善待寡妇。He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
22然而神用能力保全有势力的人; 那性命难保的人仍然兴起。He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
23神使他安稳,他就有所倚靠; 神的眼目看顾他们的道路。Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
24他们高升,不过片刻就没有了; 他们降为卑,被除灭,与众人一样☛“他们降为卑...一样”或译“他们像花一样枯干凋谢”。, 又如谷的穗子被割下。They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
25若不是这样,谁能指证我是说谎的, 以我的言语为毫无根据呢?”And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
