耶和华向尼尼微发怒
The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
2耶和华是忌邪☛“忌邪”：原文是“妒忌”，意思是“不容许有对立的神明”。、报应的神。 耶和华施报应，大有愤怒； 耶和华向他的敌人报应， 向他的仇敌怀怒。God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
3耶和华不轻易发怒，大有能力， 但耶和华万不以有罪的为无罪。 他的道路在旋风和暴风之中， 云彩为他脚下的尘土。The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
4他斥责海，使海枯干， 使一切江河干涸。 巴珊和迦密衰残， 黎巴嫩的花草也衰残了。He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
5大山因他震动， 小山也都融化； 大地在他面前突起， 世界和住在其间的也都如此。The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6他发愤恨，谁能立得住呢？ 他发烈怒，谁能当得起呢？ 他的愤怒如火倾泄而出， 磐石因他崩裂。Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
7耶和华本为善， 在患难的日子为人的保障， 并且认识那些投靠他的人；The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
8但他必以涨溢的洪水淹没其地方☛“其地方”：七十士译本是“起来攻击的人”。， 又驱逐仇敌进入黑暗。But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
9你们筹划何种计谋攻击耶和华呢？ 他必终结一切， 仇敌☛“仇敌”或译“灾难”。不会再度兴起。What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
10你们像杂乱的荆棘， 像喝醉了的人， 又如枯干的碎秸，全然烧灭。For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
11有一人从你那里出来， 图谋邪恶，设恶计攻击耶和华。There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.
12耶和华如此说： “他们虽然势力强大，人数众多， 也要被剪除，归于无有。 我虽曾使你受苦， 却不再使你受苦。Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
13现在，我要从你身上折断他的轭， 解开捆绑你的绳索。”For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
14耶和华已经发命令，指着你说： “你的名下必不再留后； 我要从你神明的庙中除灭雕刻的偶像和铸造的偶像， 我必因你的卑贱，为你预备坟墓。”And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
15看哪，在山上有报佳音、传平安之人的脚踪。 犹大啊，守你的节期， 还你的愿吧！ 因为恶人不再侵犯你， 他已灭绝净尽了。Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
尼尼微的倾覆
那打碎你的人☛“打碎你的人”或译“驱散你的人”。上到你面前。 要看守堡垒，把守道路， 要挺起腰来，大大使力。He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
2耶和华复兴雅各的荣华， 像复兴以色列的荣华； 因为蹂躏者曾经蹂躏他们， 毁坏了他们的葡萄枝。For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
3他勇士的盾牌是红的， 精兵都穿朱红衣服。 在预备打仗的日子， 战车上的铁闪烁如火☛“战车...如火”：原文另译“战车如火把的火”。， 柏木的枪杆也已举起☛“柏木...举起”：七十士译本是“骑兵在跃马前进”。；The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
4战车在街上疾行， 在广场上来往奔驰， 形状如火把， 飞驰如闪电。The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
5他☛“他”指“尼尼微王”。招聚他的贵族； 他们前行时绊跌， 速上城墙， 预备屏障。He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.
6河闸开放， 宫殿冲没。The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
7这是命定之事： 王后赤身被掳☛“这是命定之事...被掳”或译“女神像赤身被掳”；原文另可音译作“胡钗芙王后赤身被掳”。， 宫女捶胸， 哀鸣如鸽子。And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
8尼尼微自古以来 如同聚水的池子； 现在居民都在逃跑☛“尼尼微...逃跑”：七十士译本是“至于尼尼微，它的水如同一个漏水的池子”。。 “站住！站住！” 却无人回转。But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
9你们抢夺金子吧！ 你们抢夺银子吧！ 因为所积蓄的无穷， 华美的宝器无数。Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
10荒芜，荒凉，全然荒废， 人心害怕，双膝颤抖， 腰部疼痛，脸都变色。She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
11狮子的洞， 幼狮喂养之处在哪里呢？ 公狮、母狮、小狮出入， 无人使它们惊吓之地在哪里呢？Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them afraid?
12公狮撕碎的足够给幼狮吃， 又为母狮掐死猎物， 把猎物塞满它的洞穴， 把撕碎的装满它的窝。The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
13看哪，我与你为敌，将它的战车☛“它的战车”：原文另译“你的战车”；七十士译本是“你的群众”。焚烧成烟，刀剑必吞灭你的少壮狮子；我必从地上除灭你的猎物，你使者的声音必不再听见。这是万军之耶和华说的。Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;
2鞭声响亮，车轮轰轰， 马匹跳跃，战车奔腾；The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
3骑兵争先，刀剑发光， 枪矛闪烁，被杀的甚多， 尸首成堆，尸骸无数， 人因尸骸而绊跌，The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
4都因那美貌的妓女多有淫行， 惯行邪术， 藉淫行诱惑☛“诱惑”：原文是“卖”；下同。列国， 用邪术诱惑万族。Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
5看哪，我与你为敌， 掀开你的下摆，蒙在你脸上， 使列邦看见你的赤体， 使列国观看你的羞辱。 这是万军之耶和华说的。Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
6我必将可憎污秽之物抛在你身上， 使你被藐视，为众人所观看。And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.
7凡看见你的，都必逃离你，说： “尼尼微荒凉了！有谁为你悲伤呢？ 我何处找到安慰你的人呢？”And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
8你能胜过挪亚们☛“挪亚们”就是埃及的底比斯，也称“挪”。吗？ 它坐落在众河之间， 周围有水， 海☛“海”指尼罗河；下同。作它的城郭， 海☛“海”：七十士译本是“众水”。作它的城墙。Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?
9古实☛“古实”包括苏丹的大部分和埃塞俄比亚的一部分。和埃及是它的力量， 没有穷尽， 弗☛“弗”是利比亚的一部分。人和路比☛“路比”就是利比亚。人是它的帮手。Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.
10但它被流放，被人掳去， 它的婴孩也被摔碎在各街头； 人为它的贵族抽签， 它的权贵都被锁链锁住。Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
11你也必喝醉，昏迷错乱， 并因仇敌的缘故寻求庇护。Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy.
12你一切的堡垒必如无花果树上初熟的果子， 一经摇动，就落在想吃的人口中。All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.
13看哪，你中间的士兵是妇女， 你国中的关口向仇敌敞开， 你的门闩被火焚烧。Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.
14你要打水预备受困； 要加强防御， 取土踹泥， 做成砖模。Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the morter, make strong the brickkiln.
15在那里，火要吞灭你， 刀必杀戮你， 如蝻子般吞灭你。 你人数增多如蝻子， 增多如蝗虫吧！There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts.
16你增添商贾，多过天上的星宿； 如蝻子蜕皮飞去。Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth, and fleeth away.
17你的领袖多如蝗虫， 你的将军仿佛成群的蝗虫； 天凉时齐落在篱笆上， 太阳一出就飞去， 人不知道落在何处。Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.
18亚述王啊， 你的牧人睡觉， 你的贵族躺卧☛“躺卧”：原文另译“安歇”。， 你的百姓散在山间， 无人招聚。Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.
19你的损伤并未减轻， 你的伤痕极其重大。 凡听见这消息的人都因你拍掌。 有谁没有时常遭受你的暴行呢？There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
