奉神旨意，作基督耶稣使徒的保罗，和我们的弟兄提摩太，
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
2写信给歌罗西的圣徒，在基督里忠心的弟兄。愿恩惠、平安☛“平安”或译“和平”。从我们的父神归给你们！为信徒感谢神
To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3我们为你们祷告的时候，常常感谢我们主耶稣基督的父神☛“父神”：有古卷是“父和神”。，We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4因为听见你们对基督耶稣的信心，并对众圣徒有的爱心。Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
5这都是因着那给你们存在天上的盼望，它就是你们从前所听见真理的道，就是福音；For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6这福音传到你们那里，也传到普天下，并且继续增长，不断结果，正如自从你们听见福音，真正知道神恩惠的日子起，在你们中间也是这样。Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
7这福音是你们从我们所亲爱、一同作仆人的以巴弗学到的。他为我们☛“我们”：有古卷是“你们”。作了基督的忠心仆役，As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
8也把圣灵赐给你们的爱告诉我们。基督和他的工作
Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
9因此，我们自从听见的日子就不住地为你们祷告和祈求，愿你们满有一切属灵的智慧和悟性，真正知道神的旨意，For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10好使你们行事为人对得起主，凡事蒙他喜悦，在一切善事上结果子，对神的认识更有长进。That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11愿你们从他荣耀的权能中，得以在一切事上力上加力，好使你们凡事欢欢喜喜地忍耐宽容，Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12又感谢父，使你们配与众圣徒在光明中分享基业。Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13他救了我们脱离黑暗的权势，迁移到他爱子的国度里。Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14藉着他的爱子，我们得蒙救赎，罪得赦免。In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15爱子是那看不见的神之像， 是首生的☛“首生的”或译“长子”；18节同。，在一切被造的以先。Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16因为万有都是在他里面☛“在他里面”或译“藉着他”。造的， 无论是天上的、地上的， 能看见的、不能看见的， 或是有权位的、统治的， 或是执政的、掌权的， 一概都是藉着他为着他造的。For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17他在万有之先； 万有也靠他而存在。And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18他是身体（教会）的头； 他是元始， 是从死人中复活的首生者， 好让他在万有中居首位。And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19因为神喜欢使一切的丰盛在他里面居住，For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20藉着他☛有古卷没有“藉着他”。，神使万有与自己和好， 无论是地上的、天上的， 都藉着他在十字架上所流的血促成了和平。And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21从前你们与神隔绝，心思上与他为敌，行为邪恶；And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22但如今，他藉着他儿子肉身的死，已经使你们与他自己和好了☛“他藉着…和好了”：有古卷是“藉着他儿子肉身的死，你们已经得以跟他和好了”。，把你们献在他的面前，成为圣洁，没有瑕疵，无可指责。In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
23只要你们持守信仰，根基稳固，坚定不移，不致动摇，离开了你们从前所听见的福音的盼望；这福音也是传给天下一切被造之物的，我—保罗作了这福音的仆役。保罗为教会的工作
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
24现在我为你们受苦，倒很快乐；并且为基督的身体，就是为教会，我要在自己的肉身上补满基督未尽的苦难。Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
25我照神为你们所赐我的职分作了教会的仆役，要把神的道传得完满；Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26这道就是历世历代所隐藏的奥秘，但如今向他的圣徒显明了。Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27神要让他们知道，这奥秘在外邦人中有何等丰盛的荣耀；就是基督在你们心里☛“心里”或译“中间”。成了得荣耀的盼望。To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28我们传扬他，是用诸般的智慧，劝戒各人，教导各人，要把各人在基督里完完全全地献上☛“要把各人…献上”或译“要使各人在基督里成熟地献上”。。Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29我也为此劳苦，照着他在我里面运用的大能尽心竭力。Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
我要你们知道，我为你们和老底嘉人，和所有没有与我见过面的人，是何等地勤奋；
For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2为要使他们的心得安慰，因爱心互相联络，以致有从确实了解所产生的丰盛，好深知神的奥秘，就是基督；That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3在他里面蕴藏着一切智慧和知识。In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4我说这话，免得有人用花言巧语迷惑你们。And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5虽然我身体不在你们那里，心却与你们同在，很高兴见你们循规蹈矩，对基督的信心也坚固。基督里的丰盛
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6既然你们接受了主基督耶稣，就要靠着他而生活，As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7照着你们所领受的教导，在他里面生根建造，信心坚固，充满着感谢的心。Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8你们要谨慎，免得有人用他的哲学和虚空的废话，不照着基督，而是照人间的传统和世上粗浅的学说☛“世上粗浅的学说”或译“宇宙的星宿”；20-21节同。，把你们掳去。Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9因为神本性一切的丰盛都有形有体地居住在基督里面；For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10你们在他里面也已经成为丰盛。他是所有执政掌权者的元首。And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11你们也在他里面受了不是人手所行的割礼，而是使你们脱去肉体情欲的基督的割礼。In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12你们既受洗与他一同埋葬，也就在此礼上，因信那使他从死人中复活的神的作为跟他一同复活。Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13你们从前在过犯和未受割礼的肉体中死了，神却赦免了你们一切的过犯，使你们与基督一同活过来，And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14涂去了在律例上所写、敌对我们、束缚我们的字据，把它撤去，钉在十字架上。Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15基督既将一切执政者、掌权者的权势解除了，就在凯旋的行列中，将他们公开示众，仗着十字架夸胜。And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16所以，不要让任何人在饮食上，或节期、初一、安息日等事上评断你们。Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17这些原是未来的事的影子，真体却是属基督的。Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18不要让人藉着故作谦虚和敬拜天使夺去你们的奖赏。这等人拘泥在所见过的幻象☛有古卷是“这等人窥察所没有见过的”。，随着自己的欲望无故地自高自大，Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19不紧随元首；其实，由于他全身藉着关节筋络才得到滋养，互相联络，靠神所赐的成长而成长。基督里的新生活
And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20既然你们与基督同死而脱离了世上粗淺的学说，为什么仍像生活在世俗中一样，去服从那“不可拿、不可尝、不可摸”等类的规条呢？Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21这些都是根据人的命令和教导，论到这一切都是一经使用就都败坏了。(Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22这些规条使人徒有智慧之名，用私意崇拜，自表谦卑，苦待己身，其实在克制肉体的情欲上毫无功效。Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
所以，既然你们已经与基督一同复活，就当求上面的事；那里有基督，坐在神的右边。
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2你们要思考上面的事，不要思考地上的事。Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3因为你们已经死了，你们的生命与基督一同藏在神里面。For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4基督是你们的生命，他显现的时候，你们也要与他一同在荣耀里显现。When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5所以，要治死你们在地上的肢体；就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪婪—贪婪就是拜偶像。Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6因这些事，神的愤怒必临到那些悖逆的人☛“必临到…的人”：有古卷是“必来临”。。For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7当你们在这些事中活着的时候，你们的行为也曾是这样的。In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8但现在你们要弃绝这一切的事，就是恼恨、愤怒、恶毒、毁谤和口中污秽的言语。But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9不要彼此说谎，因为你们已经脱去旧人和旧人的行为，Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10穿上了新人，这新人照着造他的主的形像在知识上不断地更新。And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11在这事上并不分希腊人和犹太人，受割礼的和未受割礼的，未开化的人、西古提人、为奴的、自主的；惟独基督是一切，又在一切之内。Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12所以，你们既是神的选民，圣洁、蒙爱的人，要穿上怜悯、恩慈、谦虚、温柔和忍耐。Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13倘若这人与那人有嫌隙，总要彼此容忍，彼此饶恕；主☛有古卷是“基督”。怎样饶恕了你们，你们也要怎样饶恕人。Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14除此以外，还要穿上爱心，因为爱是贯通全德的。And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15你们要让基督所赐的和平在你们心里作主，也为此蒙召，归为一体。你们还要存感谢的心。And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16当用各样的智慧，把基督的道丰丰富富的存在心里，用诗篇、赞美诗、灵歌，彼此教导，互相劝戒，以感恩的心歌颂神。Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17你们无论做什么，或说话或行事，都要奉主耶稣的名，藉着他感谢父神。新生活的本分
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
18你们作妻子的，要顺服自己的丈夫，这在主里面是合宜的。Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
19你们作丈夫的，要爱你们的妻子，不可虐待她们。Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
20你们作儿女的，要凡事听从父母，因为这是主所喜悦的。Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
21你们作父亲的，不要惹儿女生气，恐怕他们会灰心。Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
22你们作仆人的，要凡事听从你们肉身的主人，不要只在眼前服事，像是讨人喜欢的，总要心存诚实，因为你们敬畏主。Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
23你们无论做什么，都要从心里做，像是为主做的，不是为人做的；And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24因为你们知道，从主那里必得着基业作为赏赐。你们要服侍的是主基督。Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25行不义的人必受不义的报应；主并不偏待人。But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
你们作主人的，待仆人要公正，因为知道，你们也有一位主在天上。
劝导
Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
2你们要恒切祷告，在祷告中警醒感恩。Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
3同时，也要为我们祷告，求神给我们开传道的门，能宣讲基督的奥秘，Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
4使我能按着所该说的话将这奥秘显明出来，我为此而被捆锁。That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
5你们要把握时机，用智慧与外人来往。Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
6你们的言谈要时常带着温和，好像用盐调味，让你们知道该怎样应对每一个人。最后的问候
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
7推基古是我亲爱的弟兄，忠心的仆役，和我一同作主的仆人；他要把我一切的事都告诉你们。All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:
8我特意打发他到你们那里去，好让你们知道我们的情况，又让他安慰你们的心。Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
9我又打发一位亲爱忠心的弟兄阿尼西谋同去；他也是你们那里的人。他们会把这里一切的事都告诉你们。With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.
10与我一同坐牢的亚里达古问候你们。巴拿巴的表弟马可也问候你们。关于他，你们已经得到指示；他若到你们那里，你们要接待他。Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)
11称为犹士都的耶数也问候你们。奉割礼的人中，只有这三个人是为神的国与我作同工的，也是使我心里得安慰的。And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
12有一位你们那里的人，作基督耶稣☛“基督耶稣”：有古卷是“基督”。仆人的以巴弗问候你们。他祷告的时候常为你们竭力祈求，愿你们能站稳而成熟，充分确信神一切的旨意。Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
13他为你们、老底嘉和希拉坡里的弟兄多多劳苦，这是我可以为他作见证的。For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
14亲爱的医生路加和底马问候你们。Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
15请问候老底嘉的弟兄以及宁法，和她家里☛有古卷是“和他们家里”。的教会。Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.
16你们宣读了这书信，也要交给老底嘉的教会宣读；你们也要宣读从老底嘉转来的书信。And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
17你们要对亚基布说：“务要完成你从主所领受的职分。”And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
18我—保罗亲笔问候你们。要记念我在捆锁中。愿恩惠与你们同在！The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.
