摩西的回忆
以下是摩西在约旦河东的旷野，疏弗对面的亚拉巴，就是在巴兰、陀弗、拉班、哈洗录、底撒哈之间，向以色列众人所说的话。
These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.
2从何烈山经过西珥山到加低斯．巴尼亚要十一天的路程。(There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.)
3第四十年十一月初一，摩西照耶和华所吩咐他一切有关以色列人的话，都告诉他们。And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;
4那时，他已经击败了住希实本的亚摩利王西宏和住亚斯她录、以得来的巴珊王噩。After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:
5摩西在约旦河东的摩押地讲解这律法，说：On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,
6“耶和华－我们的神在何烈山吩咐我们说：你们住在这山上已经够久了。The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
7要起行，转到亚摩利人的山区和附近的地区，就是亚拉巴、山区、谢非拉☛“谢非拉”是音译，意思是“低地”。、尼革夫☛“尼革夫”是音译，意思是“旷野干旱的地方”，指“南方之地”；本卷书下同。、沿海一带，迦南人的地和黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼发拉底河。Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.
8看，我将这地摆在你们面前。你们要进去得这地，就是耶和华向你们列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓要赐给他们和他们后裔为业之地。”选立审判官

Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
9“那时，我对你们说：‘我独自一人无法承担你们的事。And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:
10耶和华－你们的神使你们增多。看哪，你们今日好像天上的星那样多。The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.
11惟愿耶和华－你们列祖的神使你们更增加千倍，照他所应许你们的赐福给你们。(The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)
12但你们的担子，你们的重任，以及你们的争讼，我独自一人怎能承担呢？How can I myself alone bear your cumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?
13你们要按着各支派选出有智慧、明辨是非、为人所知的人来，我就立他们为你们的领袖。’Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.
14你们回答我说：‘你说要做的事很好！’And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do.
15我就将你们各支派的领袖，就是有智慧、为人所知的人，立他们为领袖，作你们各支派的千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长等官长，来管理你们。So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.
16“当时，我吩咐你们的审判官说：‘你们听讼，无论是弟兄之间的诉讼，或与寄居者之间的诉讼，都要秉公判断。And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.
17审判的时候不可看人的情面；无论大小，你们都要听讼。不可因人而惧怕，因为审判是神的事。你们当中若有难断的案件，可以呈到我这里，让我来听讼。’Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.
18那时，我已经把你们所当做的事都吩咐你们了。”以色列人拒进迦南
（民13．1－33）
And I commanded you at that time all the things which ye should do.
19“我们照着耶和华－我们神所吩咐的，从何烈山起行，经过你们所看见那一切大而可怕的旷野，往亚摩利人的山区去，到了加低斯．巴尼亚。And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea.
20我对你们说：‘你们已经到了耶和华－我们神所赐给我们的亚摩利人之山区。And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God doth give unto us.
21看，耶和华－你的神已将那地摆在你面前，你要照耶和华－你列祖的神所说的，上去得那地为业。不要惧怕，也不要惊惶。’Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.
22你们都来到我这里，说：‘让我们先派人去，为我们窥探那地，把我们上去该走的路线和该进的城镇回报我们。’And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.
23这话我看为美，就从你们中间选取十二个人，每支派一人。And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe:
24于是他们起身上山区去，到以实各谷，窥探那地。And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out.
25他们的手带着那地的一些果子，下到我们这里，回报我们说：‘耶和华－我们的神所赐给我们的是美地。’And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us.
26“你们却不肯上去，竟违背了耶和华─你们神的指示，Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God:
27在帐棚内发怨言说：‘耶和华因为恨我们，所以将我们从埃及地领出来，要把我们交在亚摩利人的手中，除灭我们。And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
28我们上哪里去呢？我们的弟兄使我们胆战心惊☛“胆战心惊”：原文直译“心消化了”。，说那里的百姓比我们又大又高☛“高”：有古卷是“多”。 ，那里的城镇又大，城墙又坚固，如天一样高，并且我们在那里看见亚衲族人。’Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.
29我就对你们说：‘不要惊惶，也不要怕他们。Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.
30在你们前面行的耶和华－你们的神必为你们争战，正如他在埃及，在你们眼前为你们所做的一样；The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
31并且你们在旷野所行的一切路上，也看见了耶和华─你们的神背着你们，如同人背自己的儿子一样，直到你们来到这地方。’And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.
32你们在这事上却不信耶和华─你们的神。Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God,
33他一路行在你们前面，为你们寻找安营的地方；他夜间在火中，日间在云中，指示你们当走的路。”以色列人受惩罚
（民14．20－45）
Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
34“耶和华听见你们的怨言，就发怒，起誓说：And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,
35‘这邪恶世代的人，一个也不得看见我起誓要赐给你们列祖的美地；Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers,
36惟有耶孚尼的儿子迦勒必得看见，并且我要将他所踏过的地赐给他和他的子孙，因为他专心跟从我。’Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.
37耶和华也因你们的缘故向我发怒，说：‘你也不得进入那地。Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.
38那侍候你，嫩的儿子约书亚必得进入那地。你要勉励他，因为他要使以色列承受那地为业。But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
39你们的孩子，你们说要成为掳物的，就是今日尚不知善恶的儿女，必进入那地。我要将那地赐给他们，他们必得为业。Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
40至于你们，要转回，从红海☛“红海”是根据七十士译本，原文是“芦苇海”；本卷书下同。的路往旷野去。’But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
41“你们回答我说：‘我们得罪了耶和华！现在我们愿遵照耶和华─我们神一切所吩咐的上去争战。’于是你们各人带着兵器，以为很容易就能上到山区去。Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill.
42耶和华对我说：‘你对他们说：不要上去，也不要争战，因我不在你们中间，恐怕你们在仇敌面前被击败。’And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.
43我就告诉了你们，你们却不听从，竟违背耶和华的指示，擅自上到山区去。So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill.
44住在那山区的亚摩利人像蜂群一样出来迎击你们，追赶你们，在西珥击败你们，直到何珥玛。And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah.
45你们就回来，在耶和华面前哭泣；耶和华却不听你们的声音，也不向你们侧耳。And ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.
46你们照着所停留的日子，在加低斯停留了许多日子。”So ye abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the days that ye abode there.
在旷野流浪
“我们转回，从红海的路往旷野去，正如耶和华所吩咐我的。我们在西珥山绕行了许多日子。
Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the LORD spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.
2耶和华对我说：And the LORD spake unto me, saying,
3‘你们绕行这山已经够久了，要转向北方。Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.
4你要吩咐百姓说：你们弟兄以扫的子孙住在西珥，你们要经过他们的边界。他们必惧怕你们，但你们要分外谨慎。And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
5不可向他们挑战；他们的地，连脚掌可踏之处，我都不给你们，因我已将西珥山赐给以扫为业。Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto Esau for a possession.
6你们要用钱向他们买粮吃，也要用钱向他们买水喝。Ye shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also buy water of them for money, that ye may drink.
7因为耶和华─你的神在你手里所做的一切事上已赐福给你。你走这大旷野，他都知道。这四十年，耶和华─你的神与你同在，因此你一无所缺。’For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.
8“于是，我们经过我们弟兄以扫子孙所住的西珥，从亚拉巴的路，经过以拉他、以旬．迦别，转向摩押旷野的路去。And when we passed by from our brethren the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, through the way of the plain from Elath, and from Eziongaber, we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
9耶和华对我说：‘不可侵犯摩押，也不可向他们挑战。他们的地，我不赐给你为业，因我已将亚珥赐给罗得的子孙为业。’And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.
10先前，以米人住在那里，百姓又大又多，像亚衲人一样高大。The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims;
11他们跟亚衲人一样，也算是利乏音人，但摩押人却称他们为以米人。Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.
12从前，何利人也住在西珥，但以扫的子孙把他们除灭，占领了他们的地，接续他们在那里居住，如同以色列在耶和华赐给他们为业之地所做的一样。The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them.
13‘现在，起来，过撒烈溪！’于是我们过了撒烈溪。Now rise up, said I, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over the brook Zered.
14从离开加低斯．巴尼亚到渡过撒烈溪，这段时期共三十八年，直到这一代的战士都从营中灭尽，正如耶和华向他们所起的誓。And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them.
15耶和华的手也攻击他们，将他们从营中除灭，直到灭尽。For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
16“百姓中所有的战士灭尽死亡以后，So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
17耶和华吩咐我说：That the LORD spake unto me, saying,
18‘你今日要经过摩押的边界亚珥，Thou art to pass over through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day:
19走到亚扪人之地。不可侵犯他们，也不可向他们挑战。亚扪人的地，我不赐给你们为业，因我已将那地赐给罗得的子孙为业。’And when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.
20那地也算是利乏音人之地，因为先前利乏音人住在那里，亚扪人称他们为散送冥人。(That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;
21那里的百姓又大又多，像亚衲人一样高大，但耶和华从亚扪人面前除灭他们，亚扪人就占领他们的地，接续他们在那里居住。A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
22这正如耶和华从前为住在西珥的以扫子孙，将何利人从他们面前除灭，使他们得了何利人的地，接续他们在那里居住，直到今日一样。As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:
23亚卫人先前住在乡村直到迦萨；从迦斐托出来的迦斐托人将亚卫人除灭，接续他们在那里居住。And the Avims which dwelt in Hazerim, even unto Azzah, the Caphtorims, which came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.)
24你们起来往前去，过亚嫩谷。看，我已将亚摩利人希实本王西宏和他的地交在你手中，你要开始去得他的地为业，向他挑战。Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
25从今日起，我要让天下万民惊慌惧怕你，听见你的名声，就因你发颤伤恸。”打败希实本王西宏
（民21．21－30）
This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the nations that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee.
26“我从基底莫的旷野派遣使者到希实本王西宏那里，用和平的话说：And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
27‘求你让我穿越你的地，我走路的时候，只走大路，不偏左右。Let me pass through thy land: I will go along by the high way, I will neither turn unto the right hand nor to the left.
28你可以卖粮给我吃，卖水给我喝；只要让我步行过去，Thou shalt sell me meat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only I will pass through on my feet;
29就如住在西珥的以扫子孙和住在亚珥的摩押人待我一样，等我过了约旦河，进入耶和华－我们神所赐给我们的地。’(As the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the LORD our God giveth us.
30但希实本王西宏不肯让我们从他那里经过，因为耶和华－你的神使他性情顽梗，内心刚硬，为要把他交在你手中，像今日一样。But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.
31耶和华对我说：‘看，我已开始把西宏和他的地交给你了，你要开始得他的地为业。’And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land.
32“西宏和他的众百姓出来迎击我们，在雅杂与我们交战。Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
33耶和华－我们的神把他交给我们，我们就杀了他和他的众儿子，以及他所有的百姓。And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
34那时，我们夺了他一切的城镇，毁灭各城的男人、女人、孩子，没有留下一个幸存者。And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
35只有牲畜和所夺各城的财物，我们都取为自己的掠物。Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.
36从亚嫩谷旁的亚罗珥和谷中的城，直到基列，没有一座城是高得我们不能攻取的；耶和华－我们的神把它们全都交给我们了。From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us:
37只有亚扪人之地，雅博河沿岸，以及山区的城镇，你没有挨近，这全是耶和华－我们神所吩咐的。”Only unto the land of the children of Ammon thou camest not, nor unto any place of the river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains, nor unto whatsoever the LORD our God forbad us.
打败巴珊王噩
（民21．31－35）
“我们又转回，朝巴珊的路上去。巴珊王噩和他的众百姓出来迎击我们，在以得来与我们交战。
Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
2耶和华对我说：‘不要怕他！因我已把他和他的众百姓，以及他的地，都交在你手中；你要待他像从前待住在希实本的亚摩利王西宏一样。’And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
3于是耶和华－我们的神也把巴珊王噩和他的众百姓都交在我们手中；我们杀了他，没有给他留下一个幸存者。So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.
4那时，我们夺了他一切的城镇，共六十座，没有一座城不被我们所夺，这是亚珥歌伯的全境，巴珊王噩的国度。And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
5这些坚固的城都有高的城墙，有门有闩，此外，还有许多无城墙的乡村。All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.
6我们把这些都毁灭了，像从前待希实本王西宏一样，毁灭各城的男人、女人、孩子；And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.
7只有一切牲畜和城中的财物，我们取为自己的掠物。But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.
8那时，我们从两个亚摩利王的手里把约旦河东边的地夺过来，从亚嫩谷直到黑门山，And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;
9这黑门山，西顿人称为西连，亚摩利人称为示尼珥。(Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)
10我们夺了平原的各城、基列全地、巴珊全地，直到撒迦和以得来，都是巴珊王噩国内的城镇。All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
11利乏音人所剩下的只有巴珊王噩。看哪，他的床是铁床，按照人肘的度量，长九肘，宽四肘，现今不是在亚扪人的拉巴吗？”约旦河东土地的分配
（民32．1－42）
For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.
12“那时，我们得了这地。从亚嫩谷旁的亚罗珥起，连同基列山区的一半和境内的城镇，我都给了吕便人和迦得人。And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.
13基列其余的地和巴珊全地，就是噩的国度，我给了玛拿西半支派。亚珥歌伯全境就是巴珊全地，也称为利乏音人之地。And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.
14玛拿西的子孙睚珥占领了亚珥歌伯全境，直到基述人和玛迦人的边界，就按自己的名字称这些地，就是巴珊，为哈倭特．睚珥，直到今日。Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day.
15我又将基列给了玛吉。And I gave Gilead unto Machir.
16我给了吕便人和迦得人从基列到亚嫩谷，以谷的中央为界，直到亚扪人边界的雅博河；And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
17还有亚拉巴和靠近约旦河之地，从基尼烈直到亚拉巴海，就是盐海，以及毗斯迦山斜坡的山脚东边之地。The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.
18“那时，我吩咐你们说：‘耶和华－你们的神已将这地赐给你们为业；你们所有的勇士都要带着兵器，在你们的弟兄以色列人前面过去。And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
19但你们的妻子、孩子、牲畜，可以住在我所赐给你们的各城里，我知道你们有许多牲畜。But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you;
20等到耶和华让你们的弟兄像你们一样，得享太平，他们在约旦河另一边，也得了耶和华－你们的神所赐给他们的地，你们各人才可以回到我所赐给你们为业之地。’Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.

22不要怕他们，因为那为你们争战的是耶和华－你们的神。’”摩西不得进入迦南
Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.
23“那时，我恳求耶和华说：And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,
24‘主耶和华啊，你已开始将你的伟大和你大能的手显给你仆人看。在天上，在地下，有什么神明能像你行事，像你有大能的作为呢？O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?
25求你让我过去，看约旦河另一边的美地，就是那佳美的山区和黎巴嫩。’I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.
26但耶和华因你们的缘故向我发怒，不应允我。耶和华对我说：‘你够了吧！不要再向我提这事。But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.
27你上毗斯迦山顶去，向东、西、南、北举目，用你的眼睛观看，因为你必不能过这约旦河。Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
28你却要吩咐约书亚，勉励他，使他壮胆，因为他必在这百姓前面过去，使他们承受你所要观看之地。’But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
29于是我们停留在伯．毗珥对面的谷中。”So we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.
摩西劝以色列人遵守律法
“现在，以色列啊，听我所教导你们的律例典章，要遵行，好使你们存活，得以进入耶和华－你们列祖之神所赐给你们的地，承受为业。
Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
2我吩咐你们的话，你们不可加添，也不可删减，好叫你们遵守耶和华－你们神的命令，就是我所吩咐你们的。Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
3你们已亲眼看见耶和华因巴力．毗珥所做的。凡随从巴力．毗珥的人，耶和华－你的神都从你中间除灭了。Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.
4只有你们这紧紧跟随耶和华－你们神的人，今日全都存活。But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.
5看，我照着耶和华－我的神所吩咐我的，将律例和典章教导你们，使你们在所要进去得为业的地上遵行。Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
6你们要谨守遵行；这就是你们在万民眼前的智慧和聪明。他们听见这一切律例，必说：‘这大国的人真是有智慧，有聪明！’Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7哪一大国有神明与他们相近，像耶和华－我们的神在我们求告他的时候与我们相近呢？For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8哪一大国有这样公义的律例典章，像我今日在你们面前所颁布的这一切律法呢？And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
9“但你要谨慎，殷勤保守你的心灵，免得忘记你亲眼所看见的事，又免得在你一生的年日这些事离开你的心，总要把它们传给你的子子孙孙。Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
10你在何烈山站在耶和华－你神面前的那日，耶和华对我说：‘你为我召集百姓，我要叫他们听见我的话，使他们活在世上的日子，可以学习敬畏我，又可以教导他们的儿女。’Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
11那时，你们近前来，站在山下；山上有火燃烧，直冲天顶，并有黑暗、密云、幽暗。And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
12耶和华从火焰中对你们说话，你们听见说话的声音，只有声音，却没有看见形像。And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.
13他将所吩咐你们当守的约指示你们，就是十条诫命☛“十条诫命”：原文是“十句话”；10．4同。，并将诫命写在两块石版上。And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
14那时，耶和华吩咐我将律例典章教导你们，使你们在所要过去得为业的地上遵行。”禁拜偶像
And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.
15“所以，你们为自己的缘故要分外谨慎；因为耶和华在何烈山，从火中对你们说话的那日，你们没有看见任何形像。Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
16惟恐你们的行为败坏，为自己雕刻任何形状的偶像，无论是男像或女像，Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17或地上任何走兽的像，或任何飞在空中有翅膀的鸟的像，The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
18或地上任何爬行动物的像，或地底下任何水中鱼的像。The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
19又恐怕你向天举目，看见耶和华－你的神为天下万民所摆列的日月星辰，就是天上的万象，就被诱惑去敬拜它们，事奉它们。And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
20耶和华将你们从埃及带领出来，脱离铁炉，是要你们成为他产业的子民，像今日一样。But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
21“耶和华又因你们的缘故向我发怒，起誓不容我过约旦河，不让我进入耶和华－你神所赐你为业的那美地。Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:
22我只好死在这地，不能过约旦河；但你们必过去得那美地。But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land.
23你们要谨慎，免得忘记耶和华－你们的神与你们所立的约，为自己雕刻任何形状的偶像，就是耶和华－你神所禁止的，Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
24因为耶和华－你的神是吞灭的火，是忌邪☛“忌邪”：原文是“妒忌”，意思是“不容许有对立的神明”。的神。For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

26我今日呼天唤地向你们作见证，你们在过约旦河得为业的地上必迅速灭亡！你们在那地的日子必不长久，必全然灭绝。I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
27耶和华必将你们分散在万民中；在耶和华领你们到的列国中，你们剩下的人丁稀少。And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
28在那里，你们必事奉人手所造的神明，它们是木头，是石头，不能看，不能听，不能吃，不能闻。And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
29你们在那里必寻求耶和华－你的神。你若尽心尽性寻求他，就必寻见。But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
30日后你在患难中，当这一切的事临到你，你必归回耶和华－你的神，听从他的话。When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
31耶和华－你的神是有怜悯的神，他不撇下你，不灭绝你，也不忘记他起誓与你列祖所立的约。(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
32“你去问，在你先前的时代，自从神造人在地上以来，从天这边到天那边，曾有过或听过这样的大事吗？For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
33有哪些百姓听见神在火中说话的声音，像你听见了还能存活呢？Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?
34神何曾为自己尝试从别的国中领出一国的子民来，用考验、神迹、奇事、战争、大能的手、伸出来的膀臂和大可畏的事，像耶和华－你们的神在埃及，在你们眼前为你们所做的一切事呢？Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
35这是要显给你看，使你知道，惟有耶和华他是神，除他以外，再没有别的了。Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
36他从天上使你听见他的声音，为要教导你，又在地上使你看见他的烈火，并且听见他从火中所说的话。Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

40我今日吩咐你的律例诫命，你要遵守，使你和你的后裔可以得福，并使你的日子一直在耶和华－你神赐你的地上得以长久。”约旦河东的三座逃城
Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.
41“那时，摩西在约旦河东边，向日出的方向，指定三座城，Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;
42使那素无仇恨、无意中杀了邻舍的凶手，可以逃到这三座城中的一座，就得存活：That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live:
43属吕便人的是旷野平坦之地的比悉，属迦得人的是基列的拉末，属玛拿西人的是巴珊的哥兰。”摩西颁布神的律法
Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites.
44这是摩西在以色列人面前颁布的律法。And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
45这些法度、律例、典章是摩西在以色列人出埃及后对他们说的，These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt,
46在约旦河东伯．毗珥对面的谷中，在住希实本的亚摩利王西宏之地；这西宏是摩西和以色列人出埃及后所击杀的。On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:
47他们得了他的地，又得了巴珊王噩的地，就是两个亚摩利王，在约旦河东，向日出方向的地：And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;
48从亚嫩谷旁的亚罗珥，直到西云山，就是黑门山，From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,
49还有约旦河东的整个亚拉巴，向日出方向，直到亚拉巴海，靠近毗斯迦山斜坡的山脚。And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah.
十诫
（出20．1－17）
摩西召集以色列众人，对他们说：“以色列啊，要听我今日在你们耳中所吩咐的律例典章，要学习，谨守遵行。
And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
2耶和华－我们的神在何烈山与我们立约。The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3这约耶和华不是与我们列祖立的，而是与我们，就是今日在这里还活着的人立的。The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
4耶和华在山上，从火中，面对面与你们说话。The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,
5那时我站在耶和华和你们之间，要将耶和华的话传给你们，因为你们惧怕那火，没有上山。他说：(I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,
6“‘我是耶和华－你的神，曾将你从埃及地为奴之家领出来。I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
7“‘除了我以外，你不可有别的神。Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
8“‘不可为自己雕刻偶像，也不可做什么形像，仿佛上天、下地和地底下水中的百物。Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:

12“‘当守安息日为圣日，正如耶和华－你神所吩咐的。Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
13六日要劳碌做你一切的工，Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
14但第七日是向耶和华－你的神当守的安息日。这一日，你和你的儿女、仆婢、牛、驴、牲畜，以及你城里寄居的客旅，都不可做任何的工，使你的仆婢可以和你一样休息。But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
15你要记念你在埃及地作过奴仆，耶和华－你的神用大能的手和伸出来的膀臂领你从那里出来。因此，耶和华－你的神吩咐你守安息日。And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

17“‘不可杀人。Thou shalt not kill.
18“‘不可奸淫。Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
19“‘不可偷盗。Neither shalt thou steal.
20“‘不可做假见证陷害你的邻舍。Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
21“‘不可贪恋你邻舍的妻子；也不可贪图你邻舍的房屋、田地、仆婢、牛驴，以及他一切所有的。’摩西传达律法

Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour's.
22“这些话是耶和华在山上，从火焰、密云、幽暗中，大声吩咐你们全会众的，再没有加添别的话了。他把这些话写在两块石版上，交给我。These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.
23山被火焰烧着，你们听见从黑暗中发出的声音，那时，你们各支派的领袖和长老都挨近我。And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
24你们说：‘看哪，耶和华－我们的神将他的荣耀和他的伟大显给我们看，我们也听见他从火中发出的声音。今日我们看到神与人说话，人还活着。And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
25现在这大火将要吞灭我们，我们何必死呢？若再听见耶和华我们神的声音，我们就必死。Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.
26凡血肉之躯，有谁像我们一样，听见了永生神从火中讲话的声音还能活着呢？For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?
27求你近前去，听耶和华－我们神所要说的一切话，将耶和华－我们神对你说的话都传给我们，我们就听从遵行。’Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.
28“你们对我说的话，耶和华都听见了。耶和华对我说：‘这百姓对你说的话，我听见了；他们所说的都对。And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
29惟愿他们存这样的心敬畏我，常遵守我一切的诫命，使他们和他们的子孙永远得福。O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
30你去对他们说：你们回帐棚去吧！Go say to them, Get you into your tents again.
31至于你，可以站在我这里，我要将一切诫命、律例、典章传给你。你要教导他们，使他们在我赐他们为业的地上遵行。’But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.
32所以，你们要照耶和华－你们神所吩咐的谨守遵行，不可偏离左右。Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
33你们要走耶和华－你们的神所吩咐的一切道路，使你们可以存活得福，并使你们的日子在所要承受的地上得以长久。”Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
“这是耶和华－你们的神所吩咐要教导你们的诫命、律例、典章，叫你们在所要过去得为业的地上遵行，
Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
2好叫你和你的子孙在一生的日子都敬畏耶和华－你的神，谨守他的一切律例、诫命，就是我所吩咐你的，使你的日子得以长久。That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3以色列啊，你要听，要谨守遵行，使你可以在那流奶与蜜之地得福，人数极其增多，正如耶和华－你列祖的神所应许你的。Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
4“以色列啊，你要听！耶和华－我们的神是独一的主☛“主”：原文是“耶和华”。。Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5你要尽心、尽性、尽力爱耶和华－你的神。And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6我今日吩咐你的这些话都要记在心上，And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7也要殷勤教导你的儿女。无论你坐在家里，走在路上，躺下，起来，都要吟诵。And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8要系在手上作记号，戴在额上☛“额上”：原文是“两眼之间”。作经匣☛“经匣”指“把经文放在皮制的匣中作额饰”；11．18同。；And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9又要写在你房屋的门框上和你的城门上。And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
10“耶和华－你的神必领你进他向你列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓要给你的地。那里有又大又美的城镇，不是你建造的；And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
11有装满各样美物的房屋，不是你装满的；有挖成的水井，不是你挖的；有葡萄园、橄榄园，不是你栽植的；你吃了而且饱足。And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
12你要谨慎，免得你忘记领你从埃及地为奴之家出来的耶和华。Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13你要敬畏耶和华－你的神，事奉他，奉他的名起誓。Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
14不可随从别神，就是你们四围民族的众神明，Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
15因为在你中间的耶和华－你的神是忌邪☛“忌邪”：原文是“妒忌”，意思是“不容许有对立的神明”。的神，恐怕耶和华－你神的怒气向你发作，把你从地上除灭。(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
16“你们不可试探耶和华－你们的神，像你们在玛撒那样试探他。Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17要谨慎遵守耶和华－你们神的诫命，和他所吩咐的法度、律例。Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18耶和华眼中看为正直和美善的事，你都要遵行，使你得福，可以进去得耶和华向你列祖起誓应许的美地，And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
19可以从你面前赶出你所有的仇敌，正如耶和华所说的。To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.
20“日后，你的儿子问你说：‘耶和华－我们神吩咐你们的法度、律例、典章是什么意思呢？’And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
21你要告诉你的儿子说：‘我们在埃及作过法老的奴仆，耶和华用大能的手将我们从埃及领出来。Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
22在我们眼前，他施行重大可怕的神迹奇事对付埃及、法老和他的全家。And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
23他将我们从那里领出来，为要领我们进入他向我们列祖起誓应许之地，把这地赐给我们。And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
24耶和华又吩咐我们遵行这一切的律例，敬畏耶和华－我们的神，使我们一生得福，得以存活，像今日一样。And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25我们若照耶和华－我们神所吩咐的，在他面前谨守遵行这一切诫命，这就是我们的义了。’”And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
选民
（出34．11－16）
“耶和华－你的神领你进入你要得为业之地，从你面前赶出许多国家，就是比你更强大的七个国家：赫人、革迦撒人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人。
When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
2当耶和华－你的神把他们交给你，你击杀他们的时候，你要完全消灭他们，不可与他们立约，也不可怜惜他们。And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
3不可与他们结亲；不可将你的女儿嫁给他的儿子，也不可叫你的儿子娶他的女儿。Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
4因为他必使你的儿女离弃我，去事奉别神，以致耶和华的怒气向你们发作，迅速将你除灭。For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
5你们却要这样处置他们：拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍断他们的亚舍拉，用火焚烧他们雕刻的偶像。But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
6“因为你是属于耶和华－你神神圣的子民；耶和华－你的神从地面上的万民中拣选你，作自己宝贵的子民。For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
7耶和华专爱你们，拣选你们，并非因你们人数比任何民族多，其实你们的人数在各民族中是最少的。The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
8因为耶和华爱你们，又因要遵守他向你们列祖所起的誓，耶和华就用大能的手领你们出来，救赎你脱离为奴之家，脱离埃及王法老的手。But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9所以，你知道耶和华－你的神，他是神，是信实的神。他向爱他、守他诫命的人守约施慈爱，直到千代；Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
10向恨他的人，他必当面报应，消灭他们。凡恨他的，他必当面报应，绝不迟延。And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
11所以，你要谨守我今日所吩咐你的诫命、律例、典章，遵行它们。”遵行诫命必蒙福
（申28．1－14）
Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
12“你们若听从这些典章，谨守遵行，耶和华－你的神必照他向你列祖所起的誓，对你守约，施慈爱。Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
13他必爱你，赐福给你，使你人数增多，也必在他向你列祖起誓要给你的地上赐福给你身所生的，你地所产的，你的五谷、新酒和新的油，以及你的牛犊、羔羊。And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
14你必蒙福胜过万民；你没有不育的男人和不孕的女人，牲畜也没有不生育的。Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
15耶和华必使一切的疾病远离你；你所知道埃及各样的恶疾，他不加在你身上，反要加在所有恨你的人身上。And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
16你要吞灭耶和华－你的神交给你的各民族，你的眼目不可顾惜他们。你也不可事奉他们的神明，因为这必成为你的圈套。And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.
17“你若心里说，这些国的人数比我多，我怎能赶出他们呢？If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
18你不必怕他们，要牢牢记住耶和华－你神向法老和埃及全地所行的事，Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
19你亲眼见过的大考验、神迹、奇事、大能的手和伸出来的膀臂，都是耶和华－你神领你出来所施行的。耶和华－你的神也必照样处置你所惧怕的各民族，The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.
20并且耶和华－你的神必派瘟疫 ☛“瘟疫”或译“黄蜂”。攻击他们，直到那剩下而躲起来的人都从你面前灭亡。Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
21不要因他们惊恐，因为耶和华－你的神在你中间是大而可畏的神。Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
22耶和华－你的神必将这些国从你面前渐渐赶出；你不可迅速把他们消灭，免得野地的走兽多起来危害你。And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
23耶和华－你的神必将他们交给你，大大扰乱他们，直到他们被除灭。But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
24他又要将他们的君王交在你手中，你必从天下除去他们的名；必无一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他们除灭了。And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
25你们要用火焚烧他们神明的雕刻偶像；不可贪爱偶像上的金银，也不可私自收起来，免得你因此陷入圈套，因为这是耶和华－你神所憎恶的。The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.
26你不可把可憎之物带进你的家，否则，你就像它一样成为当毁灭的。你要彻底憎恨它，极其厌恶它，因为这是当毁灭的。”Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
将得美地
“我今日所吩咐你的一切诫命，你们要谨守遵行，好使你们存活，人数增多，可以进去得耶和华向你们列祖起誓应许的那地。
All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
2你要记得，这四十年耶和华─你的神在旷野一路引导你，是要磨炼你，考验你，为要知道你的心如何，是否愿意遵守他的诫命。And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
3他磨炼你，任你饥饿，将你和你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道，人活着，不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
4这四十年，你身上的衣服没有穿破，你的脚也没有肿。Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
5你心里要知道，耶和华─你的神管教你，像人管教儿女一样。Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
6你要谨守耶和华─你神的诫命，遵行他的道，敬畏他。Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
7“耶和华─你的神必领你进入美地，那地有河流，有泉源和深渊的水从谷中和山上流出。For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
8那地有小麦、大麦、葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树，那地也有橄榄油和蜂蜜。A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;
9那地没有缺乏，你在那里有食物吃，一无所缺；那地的石头是铁，山中可以挖铜。A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
10你吃得饱足，要称颂耶和华─你的神，因为他将那美地赐给你。”不可忘记耶和华
When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.
11“你要谨慎，免得忘记耶和华─你的神，不守他的诫命、典章、律例，就是我今日吩咐你的。Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
12免得你吃得饱足，建造上好的房屋，住在其中，Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
13你的牛羊增多，你的金银增多，你拥有的一切全都增多，And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
14于是你的心高傲，忘记耶和华─你的神。他曾将你从埃及地为奴之家领出来，Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
15曾引领你经过那大而可怕的旷野，有火蛇、蝎子、干旱无水之地。他也曾为你使水从坚硬的磐石中流出来，Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
16又在旷野将你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，为要磨炼你，考验你，终久使你享福。Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;
17你心里说：‘这财富是我的力量、我手的能力得来的。’And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
18你要记得耶和华─你的神，因为得财富的能力是他给你的，为要坚守他向你列祖起誓所立的约，像今日一样。But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
19你若忘记耶和华─你的神，随从别神，事奉它们，敬拜它们，我今日警告你们，你们必定灭亡。And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20耶和华在你们面前怎样使列国灭亡，你们也必照样灭亡，因为你们不听从耶和华─你们神的话。”As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
百姓悖逆
“以色列啊，你要听！你今日要过约旦河，进去占领比你更强大的列国，那里的城镇又大，城墙又坚固，如天一样高。
Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
2那里的百姓是亚衲族人，又高又壮，是你所知道的；你也听说过：‘谁能在亚衲族人面前站立得住呢？’A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!
3你今日应当知道，耶和华─你的神在你前面渡过去，如同吞噬的火，要除灭他们，并要在你面前将他们制伏，使你可以赶出他们，速速消灭他们，正如耶和华向你所说的。Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
4“耶和华─你的神将他们从你面前赶出以后，你心里不可说：‘耶和华领我得这地是因我的义。’其实，耶和华将这些国家从你面前赶出去是因他们的恶。Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
5你能进去得他们的地，并不是因你的义，也不是因你心里正直，而是因这些国家的恶，耶和华─你的神才把他们从你面前赶出去，为了应验耶和华向你列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许的话。”金牛犊
（出32．1－35）
Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
6“你当知道，耶和华─你的神将这美地赐你为业，并不是因你的义；你本是硬着颈项的百姓。Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
7你要记得，不要忘记，你在旷野怎样惹耶和华－你的神发怒。自从你出了埃及地的那日，直到你们来到这地方，你们常常悖逆耶和华。Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
8你们在何烈山惹耶和华发怒，耶和华对你们动怒，甚至要除灭你们。Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.
9我上了山，要领受两块石版，就是耶和华与你们立约的版。那时我在山上住了四十昼夜，没有吃饭，也没有喝水。When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
10耶和华把那两块石版交给我，是神用指头写成的；版上是耶和华在大会的那一天，在山上从火中对你们所说的一切话。And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
11过了四十昼夜，耶和华把那两块石版，就是约版，交给我。And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.
12耶和华对我说：‘起来，赶快从这里下去！因为你从埃及领出来的百姓已经败坏了；他们这么快偏离了我所吩咐的道，为自己铸造偶像。’And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
13“耶和华对我说：‘我看这百姓，看哪，他们是硬着颈项的百姓。Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
14你且由着我，我要除灭他们，从天下涂去他们的名，我要使你成为比他们更大更强的国。’Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
15于是我转身下山，山上有火燃烧，两块约版在我双手中。So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
16我观看，看哪，你们得罪了耶和华－你们的神，为自己铸成了一头牛犊，迅速偏离了耶和华所吩咐你们的道，And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
17我拿着那两块石版，从我双手中扔出去，在你们眼前把它们摔碎了。And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
18因为你们所犯的一切罪，做了耶和华眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒，我就像从前一样俯伏在耶和华面前四十昼夜，没有吃饭，没有喝水。And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
19我很害怕，因为耶和华向你们大发烈怒，要除灭你们。但那一次耶和华又应允了我。For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
20耶和华也向亚伦非常生气，甚至要除灭他；那时我也为亚伦祈祷。And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
21我把那使你们犯罪所铸的牛犊拿来，用火焚烧，捣碎后再磨成粉末，好像灰尘。我把这灰尘撒在从山上流下来的溪水中。And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.
22“你们在他备拉、玛撒、基博罗．哈他瓦又惹耶和华发怒。And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.
23耶和华叫你们离开加低斯．巴尼亚，说：‘你们上去得我所赐给你们的地。’那时，你们违背了耶和华－你们神的指示，不信服他，不听从他的话。Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
24自从我认识你们的日子以来，你们常常悖逆耶和华。☛本节撒玛利亚五经和七十士译本是“自从主认识你们的日子以来，你们常常悖逆他。”Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.
25“我因耶和华说要除灭你们，就在耶和华面前俯伏四十昼夜，像我以前俯伏一样。Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
26我向耶和华祈祷，说：‘主耶和华啊，求你不要灭绝你的百姓，你的产业。他们是你用大能救赎，用你强有力的手从埃及领出来的。I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
27求你记念你的仆人亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各，不看这百姓的顽梗、邪恶、罪愆，Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:
28免得你领我们出来的那地之人说：耶和华因为不能将这百姓领进他所应许之地，又因恨他们，所以领他们出去，要在旷野杀他们。Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.
29其实他们是你的百姓，你的产业，是你用大能和伸出的膀臂领出来的。’”Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
摩西重新接受诫命
（出34．1－10）
“那时，耶和华对我说：‘你要凿出两块石版，和先前的一样，上山到我这里来。你也要造一个木柜。
At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
2我要把你先前摔碎的版上所写的字，写在这版上；你要把这版放在柜里。’And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
3于是我用金合欢木造了一个柜子，又凿出两块石版，和先前的一样。我手里拿着这两块版上山。And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
4耶和华将那大会之日、在山上从火中所吩咐你们的十条诫命，照先前所写的写在这版上。耶和华把它们交给我。And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.
5我转身下山，将这版放在我所造的柜里，现今这版还在那里，正如耶和华所吩咐我的。And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.
6（以色列人从比罗比尼．亚干☛“比罗比尼．亚干”或译“比尼．亚干井”。起行，来到摩西拉，亚伦死在那里，就葬在那里。他的儿子以利亚撒接续他担任祭司的职分。And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.
7他们从那里起行，来到谷歌大，又从谷歌大来到约巴他，有溪水之地。From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.
8那时，耶和华将利未支派分别出来，抬耶和华的约柜，又侍立在耶和华面前事奉他，奉他的名祝福，直到今日。At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
9因此，利未没有像他的弟兄有产业，耶和华是他的产业，正如耶和华－你神所应许他的。）Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him.
10“我又像先前一样在山上停留了四十昼夜。这一次耶和华也应允我，不将你灭绝。And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee.
11耶和华对我说：‘起来，走在百姓前面，领他们进去得我向他们列祖起誓要给他们的地。’”神的要求
And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
12“以色列啊，现在耶和华－你的神向你要的是什么呢？只要你敬畏耶和华－你的神，遵行他一切的道，爱他，尽心尽性事奉耶和华－你的神，And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13遵守耶和华的诫命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，为要使你得福。To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
14看哪，天和天上的天，地和地上所有的，都属耶和华－你的神。Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
15然而，耶和华专爱你的列祖，爱他们，从万民中拣选你们，就是他们的后裔，像今日一样。Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
16所以你们的心要受割礼，不可再硬着颈项。Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17因为耶和华－你们的神是万神之神，万主之主，是伟大、强有力、可畏的神，不看人的情面，也不受贿赂。For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
18他为孤儿寡妇伸冤，爱护寄居的，赐给他衣食。He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
19所以你们要爱护寄居的，因为你们在埃及地也作过寄居的。Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20你要敬畏耶和华－你的神，事奉他，紧紧跟随他，奉他的名起誓。Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
21他是你当赞美的，是你的神，为你做了大而可畏的事，这些是你亲眼见过的。He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
22你的列祖七十人下埃及，现在耶和华－你的神却使你如同天上的星那样多。”Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
神的伟大
“你要爱耶和华－你的神，天天遵守他的吩咐、律例、典章、诫命。
Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.
2今日你们应当知道，而不是你们的儿女，因为他们不知道，也没有见过耶和华─你们神的管教、他的伟大、他大能的手和伸出来的膀臂，And know ye this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,
3以及他在埃及向埃及王法老和其全地所行的神迹奇事；And his miracles, and his acts, which he did in the midst of Egypt unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;
4他怎样对待埃及的军队、马和战车，他们追赶你们的时候，耶和华怎样用红海的水淹没他们，消灭了他们，直到今日；And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD hath destroyed them unto this day;
5他在旷野怎样待你们，直到你们来到这地方，And what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came into this place;
6以及他怎样待吕便子孙，以利押的儿子大坍、亚比兰，地怎样在以色列人中开了裂口，吞了他们和他们的家眷，帐棚，以及跟他们在一起所有活着的。And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of all Israel:
7惟有你们亲眼见过耶和华所做的一切大事。”应许之地的福泽
But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.
8“所以，你们要遵守我今日所吩咐的一切诫命，使你们刚强，可以进去得你们所要得的那地，就是你们将过河到那里要得的，Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;
9也使你们的日子，在耶和华向你们列祖起誓要给他们和他们后裔的地上得以长久，那是流奶与蜜之地。And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
10你要进去得为业的那地，不像你出来的埃及地。在埃及，你撒种后，要用脚浇灌，像浇灌菜园一样。For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:
11你们要过去得为业的那地乃是有山有谷、天上的雨水滋润之地，But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
12是耶和华－你神所眷顾的地；从岁首到年终，耶和华－你神的眼目时常看顾那地。A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
13“你们若留心听从我今日所吩咐你们的诫命，爱耶和华－你们的神，尽心尽性事奉他，And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14我☛“我”：撒玛利亚五经、七十士译本和其他古译本是“他”。必按时降下雨水在你们的地上，就是秋雨和春雨，使你们可以收藏五谷、新酒和新的油，That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
15也必使田野为你的牲畜长出草来；这样，你必吃得饱足。And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
16你们要谨慎，免得心受诱惑，转去事奉别神，敬拜它们，Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
17以致耶和华的怒气向你们发作，使天封闭不下雨，使地不出产，使你们在耶和华所赐给你们的美地上速速灭亡。And then the LORD's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
18“你们要将我这些话存在心里，留在意念中，系在手上作记号，戴在额上☛“额上”：原文是“两眼之间”。作经匣。Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19你们也要将这些话教导你们的儿女，无论坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，起来，都要讲论，And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20又要写在房屋的门框上和你的城门上。And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21这样，你们和你们子孙的日子必在耶和华向你们列祖起誓要给他们的地上得以增多，如天地之长久。That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
22你们若留心谨守遵行我所吩咐这一切的诫命，爱耶和华－你们的神，遵行他一切的道，紧紧跟随他，For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
23他必从你们面前赶出这一切国家，你们也要占领比你们更大更强的国家。Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
24凡你们脚掌所踏之地都必归于你们；从旷野到黎巴嫩，从幼发拉底大河，直到西边的海，都要成为你们的疆土。Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
25必无一人能在你们面前站立得住；耶和华－你们的神必照他所说的，使惧怕惊恐临到你们所踏的全地。There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
26“看，我今日将祝福与诅咒都陈明在你们面前。Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
27你们若听从耶和华─你们神的诫命，就是我今日所吩咐你们的，就必蒙福。A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
28你们若不听从耶和华─你们神的诫命，偏离我今日所吩咐你们的道，去随从你们所不认识的别神，就必受诅咒。And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
29当耶和华－你的神领你进入要得为业的那地，你就要在基利心山上宣布祝福，在以巴路山上宣布诅咒。And it shall come to pass, when the LORD thy God hath brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.
30这二座山岂不是在约旦河的那边，日落的方向，在住亚拉巴的迦南人之地，吉甲的前面，靠近摩利橡树吗？Are they not on the other side Jordan, by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign over against Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?
31你们过约旦河，进去得耶和华－你们的神所赐你们为业之地；当你们占领它，在那地居住的时候，For ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein.
32你们要谨守遵行我今日在你们面前颁布的一切律例典章。”And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.
惟一的敬拜场所
“你们活在世上的日子，在耶和华─你列祖的神所赐你为业的地上，你们要谨守遵行这些律例典章：
These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
2你们占领的国家所事奉他们众神明的地方，无论是在高山，在小山，在一切的青翠树下，你们要彻底毁坏；Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:
3要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，用火焚烧他们的亚舍拉，砍断他们神明的雕刻偶像，并要从那地方除去他们的名。And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.
4你们不可那样敬拜耶和华－你们的神。Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.
5但耶和华－你们的神在你们各支派中选择何处作为立他名的居所，你们就要到那里求问，But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:
6将你们的燔祭、祭物、十一奉献、手中的举祭、还愿祭、甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中头生的，都带到那里。And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
7在那里，你们和你们的全家都可以在耶和华─你们神的面前吃，并且因你们手所做的一切蒙耶和华－你的神赐福而欢乐。And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
8你们不可做像我们今日在这里所做的，各人行自己眼中看为正的一切事；Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
9因为你们现在还没有进入耶和华－你神所赐你的安息，所给你的产业。For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.
10你们过了约旦河，住在耶和华─你们神给你们承受为业的地；他又使你们得享太平，不受四围一切仇敌扰乱，使你们安然居住。But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
11那时你们要将我所吩咐你们的燔祭、祭物、十一奉献、手中的举祭，和向耶和华许愿的一切上好的祭，都带到耶和华─你们神所选择立他名的居所。Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
12你们和儿女、仆婢，以及住在你们城里，没有与你们一起分得产业的利未人，都要在耶和华－你们的神面前欢乐。And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.
13你要谨慎，不可在自己所看中的各处献燔祭。Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:
14惟独耶和华从你的一个支派中所选择的地方，你要在那里献燔祭，在那里遵行我一切所吩咐你的。But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
15“然而，你在各城里都可以照着耶和华－你神所赐给你的福分，随心所欲宰牲吃肉；无论洁净的人不洁净的人都可以吃，就如吃羚羊和鹿的肉一样。Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.
16只是血，你不可吃，要把它倒在地上，如同倒水一样。Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.
17你的五谷、新酒和新油的十分之一，或是牛群羊群中头生的，或是你的许愿祭、甘心祭和手中的举祭，都不可在你的城里吃，Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:
18必须在耶和华－你的神面前吃，在耶和华－你神所选择的地方，你和儿女、仆婢，以及住在你城里的利未人都可以吃，并要因你手所做的一切，在耶和华－你神面前欢乐。But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
19你要谨慎，在你所住的地上，你永不可离弃利未人。Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth.
20“耶和华－你的神照他的应许扩张你疆土的时候，你心里想要吃肉，说：‘我要吃肉’，就可以随心所欲吃肉。When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
21耶和华－你神选择立他名的地方若离你太远，你可以照我所吩咐的，将耶和华赐给你的牛羊取些宰了，随心所欲在你的城里吃。If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
22其实，就如吃羚羊和鹿的肉一样，你要这样吃它，无论洁净的人不洁净的人都可以一起吃。Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.
23但是你要坚定，不可吃血，因为血是生命；不可将生命与肉一起吃。Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.
24你不可吃血，要把它倒在地上，如同倒水一样。Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.
25不可吃血，好让你和你的子孙可以得福，因为你行了耶和华眼中看为正的事。Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
26只是你分别为圣的物和你所还的愿，都要带到耶和华所选择的地方去。Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:
27你的燔祭，连肉带血，都要献在耶和华－你神的坛上。祭物的血要倒在耶和华－你神的坛上；肉你可以吃。And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
28你要谨守听从我所吩咐的一切话，好让你和你的子孙可以永远得福，因为你行耶和华－你神眼中看为善、看为正的事。”不可敬拜别神
Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.
29“耶和华－你神把你要进去赶出的列国从你面前剪除，并且你得了他们的地为业居住，When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
30那时你要谨慎，在他们从你面前被除灭之后，你不可受引诱随从他们，也不可求问他们的神明，说：‘这些国家怎样事奉他们的神明，我也要照样做。’Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
31你不可向耶和华－你的神这样做，因为他们向他们的神明做了耶和华所憎恨、所厌恶的一切事，甚至将自己的儿女用火焚烧，献给他们的神明。Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
32凡我所吩咐你们的事，你们都要谨守遵行，不可加添，也不可删减。”What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
“你中间若有先知或是做梦的人起来，向你显神迹奇事，
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2他对你说的神迹奇事应验了，说：‘我们去随从别神，事奉它们吧。’那是你不认识的。And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3你不可听那先知或是那做梦之人的话，因为这是耶和华－你们的神考验你们，要知道你们是否尽心尽性爱耶和华－你们的神。Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4你们要顺从耶和华－你们的神，敬畏他，谨守他的诫命，听从他的话，事奉他，紧紧跟随他。Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
5那先知或那做梦的人要被处死，因为他出言悖逆那领你们出埃及地、救赎你脱离为奴之家的耶和华－你们的神，要引诱你离开耶和华－你神吩咐你要行的道。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉。And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
6“你的同胞兄弟，或是你的儿女，或是你怀中的妻，或是如同自己性命的朋友，若暗中引诱你，说：‘我们去事奉别神吧。’那是你和你列祖所不认识的，If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7你四围列国的神明，无论是离你近或离你远，从地这边到地那边，Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8你都不可附和他，也不要听从他。你的眼不可顾惜他，不可怜悯他，也不可袒护他。Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9你务必杀他；你先下手，然后众百姓才下手，把他处死。But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10要用石头打死他，因为他想引诱你离开那领你出埃及地为奴之家的耶和华－你的神。And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
11全以色列都要听见而害怕，不敢在你中间再行这样的恶事了。And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.
12“若你听见人说，在耶和华－你神所赐给你居住的城镇中的一座，If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,
13有些无赖之徒从你中间出来，引诱本城的居民，说：‘我们去事奉别神吧。’那是你们不认识的，Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
14你就要调查，探听，细心询问。看哪，是真的，确实有这可憎的事在你中间发生，Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;
15你务必用刀杀那城里的居民，把城里所有的，连牲畜都用刀灭尽。Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
16你要把从城里所夺取的一切财物堆在广场中，用火将那城和其中夺取的一切财物全烧给耶和华－你的神。那城要永远成为废墟，不得重建。And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
17那当毁灭的物一点都不可粘你的手，好让耶和华转回，不向你发烈怒，却恩待你，怜悯你，照他向你列祖所起的誓使你人数增多；And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;
18因为你听从耶和华－你神的话，遵守我今日所吩咐你的一切诫命，行耶和华－你神眼中看为正的事。”When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
举哀时的禁例
“你们是耶和华─你们神的儿女。不可为了死人割划自己，也不可使额上☛“额上”：原文是“两眼之间”。光秃；
Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2因为你是属于耶和华－你神神圣的子民，耶和华从地面上的万民中拣选了你，作自己宝贵的子民。”洁净和不洁净的食物
（利11．1－21）
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
3“凡可憎的物， 你都不可吃。Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
4可吃的牲畜是：牛、绵羊、山羊、These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
5鹿、羚、麃子、野山羊、瞪羚、羚羊、山绵羊。The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
6凡蹄分两瓣，分趾蹄而又反刍食物的牲畜，你们都可以吃。And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
7但那反刍或分蹄之中不可吃的是：骆驼、兔子、石獾，虽然反刍却不分蹄，对你们是不洁净的；Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
8猪，虽然分蹄却不反刍，对你们也是不洁净的。它们的肉，你们一点都不可吃；它们的尸体，你们也不可摸。And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
9“水中可吃的是这些：凡有鳍有鳞的都可以吃；These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10凡无鳍无鳞的都不可吃，对你们是不洁净的。And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
11“凡洁净的鸟，你们都可以吃。Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
12不可吃的是：雕、狗头雕、红头雕、But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
13鹯、小鹰、鹞鹰的类群，And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
14各种乌鸦的类群、And every raven after his kind,
15鸵鸟、夜鹰、鱼鹰、鹰的类群、And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
16鸮鸟、猫头鹰、角鸱、The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
17鹈鹕、秃雕、鸬鹚、And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
18鹳、鹭鸶的类群、戴鵀与蝙蝠。And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
19凡有翅膀却爬行的群聚动物对你们是不洁净的，都不可吃。And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
20凡洁净的鸟，你们都可以吃。But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
21“凡自然死去的动物，你们都不可吃，可以给城里寄居的人吃，或卖给外人，因为你是属于耶和华－你神神圣的子民。“不可用母山羊的奶来煮它的小山羊。”
十一奉献的条例
Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
22“每年，你务必从你播种的一切收成，田地所出产的，取十分之一献上。Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23要在耶和华－你神面前，就是他选择那里作为他名居所的地方，吃你所献十分之一的五谷、新酒和新的油，以及牛群羊群中头生的，好让你天天学习敬畏耶和华－你的神。And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
24当耶和华－你的神赐福给你的时候，耶和华－你神选择立他名的地方若离你太远，路途太长，使你不能把这东西带到那里去，And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
25你可以把它换成银子，把银子包起来，拿在手中，往耶和华－你神所选择的地方去。Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
26在那里，你可以随心所欲用银子或买牛羊，或买清酒烈酒，或买任何你心所想的。你和你的全家要在耶和华－你神面前吃喝欢乐。And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27“住在你城里的利未人，你不可离弃他，因为他在你那里没有分得产业。And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28每三年的最后一年，你要把那一年收成的十分之一取出来，积存在你的城中；At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29那没有与你一起分得产业的利未人，和城里的寄居者，以及孤儿寡妇，都可以前来，吃得饱足，好让耶和华－你的神在你手里所做的一切事上赐福给你。”And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
安息年的条例
“每七年的最后一年，你要施行豁免。
At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.
2豁免的方式是这样：凡债主要把手里所借给邻舍的全豁免，不可向邻舍和弟兄追讨，因为耶和华的豁免已经宣告了。And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD's release.
3你可以向外邦人追讨；但你弟兄欠你的，无论是什么，你都要放手豁免。Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;
4其实，在你中间不会有贫穷人；因为在耶和华－你神所赐你为业的地上，耶和华必大大赐福给你。Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:
5只要你留心听从耶和华－你神的话，谨守遵行我今日所吩咐你这一切的命令，Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.
6因为耶和华－你的神会照他所应许你的赐福给你，你必借给许多国家，却不需要去借贷；你要管辖许多国家，它们却不能管辖你。For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
7“在耶和华－你神所赐给你的地上，任何一座城里，你弟兄中若有一个贫穷人，你不可硬着心，袖手不帮助你贫穷的弟兄。If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:
8你总要伸手帮助他，照他所缺乏的借给他，补他的不足。But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.
9你要谨慎，不可心起恶念，说：‘第七年的豁免年快到了’，你就冷眼看你贫穷的弟兄，什么都不给他。他若为你的缘故求告耶和华，你就有罪了。Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.
10你要慷慨解囊，给他的时候不要心疼，因为耶和华－你的神必为这事，在你一切的工作上和你手所做的一切赐福给你。Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
11因为地上的贫穷人永远不会断绝，所以我吩咐你说：‘总要伸手帮助你地上困苦贫穷的弟兄。’”奴婢的条例

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
12“你弟兄中，若有一个希伯来男人或希伯来女人卖给你，已服事你六年，到了第七年就要让他自由离开你。And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.
13你让他自由离开的时候，不可让他空手而去，And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
14要从你的羊群、禾场、压酒池中取一些，慷慨地送给他；耶和华－你的神怎样赐福给你，你也要照样给他。Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
15要记得你在埃及地作过奴仆，耶和华－你的神救赎了你。为此，我今日将这事吩咐你。And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.
16他若对你说：‘我不愿意离开你’，因为他爱你和你的家，并且他在你那里很好，And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;
17你要拿锥子在门上穿透他的耳朵，他就永远成为你的奴仆了。你待婢女也要这样。Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
18你让他从你那里自由离开的时候，不要看作困难，因为他已服事你六年，相当于雇工双倍的工钱。这样，耶和华－你的神必在你所做的一切事上赐福给你。”头生牛羊的条例
It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.
19“你牛群羊群中头生的，凡是公的，都要分别为圣，归给耶和华－你的神。头生的牛，不可用它来耕作；头生的羊，不可剪它的毛。All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.
20这头生的，你和你全家每年要到耶和华所选择的地方，在耶和华－你神面前吃。Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.
21这头生的若有残疾，瘸腿的或瞎眼的，若有任何严重缺陷，都不可献给耶和华－你的神。And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.
22你们可以在城里吃，洁净的人和不洁净的人都可以吃，就如吃羚羊和鹿一样。Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.
23只是它的血，你不可吃，要倒在地上，如同倒水一样。”Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.
逾越节
（出12．1－20；利23．5－8；民28．16－25）
“你要守亚笔月，向耶和华－你的神守逾越节，因为在亚笔月，耶和华－你的神在夜间领你出埃及。
Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.
2你当在那里，耶和华选择作为他名居所的地方，从羊群牛群中，将逾越节的祭牲献给耶和华－你的神。Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.
3这祭牲不可和有酵的东西一起吃。因为你曾匆忙离开埃及地，你要吃无酵饼，就是困苦饼七日，好让你一生的年日记得你从埃及地出来的那一日。Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.
4在你全境内，七日不可见到酵母。第一日晚上所献的肉，一点也不可留到早晨。And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning.
5你不可在耶和华－你神所赐的各城中，任何一座城里，献逾越节的祭，Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee:
6只可在那里，耶和华－你神选择作为他名居所的地方，在晚上日落的时候，就是你出埃及的时候，献逾越节的祭。But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
7你要在耶和华－你神所选择的地方把肉烤来吃，次日早晨就回到你的帐棚去。And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.
8你要吃无酵饼六日，第七日要向耶和华－你的神守严肃会，不可做工。”七七收获节

Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
9“你要计算七个七日：从你用镰刀开始收割庄稼时算起，一共七个七日。Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.
10你要向耶和华－你的神守七七节，按照耶和华－你神所赐你的福，献上你手里的甘心祭。And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
11你和你的儿女、仆婢，以及住在你城里的利未人、在你中间寄居的和孤儿寡妇，都要在那里，耶和华－你神选择作为他名居所的地方，在耶和华－你神面前欢乐。And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
12你要记得你在埃及作过奴仆，也要谨守遵行这些律例。”住棚节

And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.
13“你收藏了禾场和压酒池的出产以后，就要守住棚节七日。Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:
14在节期中，你和你的儿女、仆婢，以及住在你城里的利未人、寄居的和孤儿寡妇，都要欢乐。And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
15在耶和华所选择的地方，你要向耶和华－你的神守节七日，因为耶和华－你的神要在你一切的收成上和你手里所做的一切赐福给你，你就非常欢乐。Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.
16“你所有的男丁要在除酵节、七七节、住棚节，一年三次，在耶和华－你神所选择的地方朝见他，不可空手朝见耶和华。Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:
17各人要按自己手中的能力，照耶和华－你神所赐你的福，奉献礼物。”秉公审断
Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.
18“你要在耶和华－你神所赐的各城中，为各支派设立审判官和官长。他们要按公义的判断审判百姓，Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
19不可屈枉正直，不可看人的情面，也不可接受贿赂，因为贿赂能使智慧人的眼睛变瞎，又能曲解义人的证词。Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
20公正！你要追求公正，好使你存活，承受耶和华－你神所赐你的地。”神所憎恶的敬拜
That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
21“你为耶和华－你的神筑坛，不可在坛旁栽种任何树木作亚舍拉，Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
22也不可为自己设立柱像，这是耶和华－你的神所憎恨的。”Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.
“凡有残疾，有任何恶疾的牛羊，你都不可献给耶和华－你的神，因为这是耶和华－你神所憎恶的。
Thou shalt not sacrifice unto the LORD thy God any bullock, or sheep, wherein is blemish, or any evilfavouredness: for that is an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
2“在你中间，在耶和华－你神所赐你的各城中，任何一座城里，若有男人或女人做了耶和华－你神眼中看为恶的事，违背了他的约，If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
3去事奉别神，敬拜它们，或拜太阳，或拜月亮，或拜天上的万象，是我☛“我”：七十士译本是“他”。不曾吩咐的。And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
4有人告诉你，你也听见了，就要细心探听。看哪，是真的，确实有这可憎的事在以色列中发生，And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
5你就要将行这恶事的男人或女人拉到城门外，用石头把这男人或女人处死。Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
6要凭两个证人或三个证人的口，才可以把他处死，不可只凭一个证人的口处死他。At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
7证人要先动手，然后众百姓也动手把他处死。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉。The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.
8“你城中若有难以判断的案件，涉及流血，诉讼，或殴打等争讼的事，你就要起来，上到那里，耶和华－你神所选择的地方，If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;
9去见利未家的祭司和当时的审判官，求问他们，他们必将判决指示你。And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:
10他们在耶和华所选择的地方指示你的判决，你要执行，谨守遵行他们一切所教导你的。And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:
11要按照所教导你的律法、所告诉你的典章去执行；他们指示你的判决，你不可偏离左右。According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.
12若有人擅自行事，不听从那侍立在耶和华－你神那里事奉的祭司，或不听从审判官，那人就要处死。这样，你就把恶从以色列中除掉。And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
13众百姓听见了都要害怕，不再擅自行事了。”立王的指示
And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.
14“你到了耶和华－你神所赐你的地，得了那地居住在其中的时候，若说：‘我要立王治理我，像我四围所有的国家一样’，When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
15你一定要立耶和华－你神所拣选的人为你的王。要从你弟兄中立一人为你的王，不可立你弟兄之外的外邦人治理你。Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
16只是王不可为自己加添马匹，也不可为加添马匹使百姓回埃及去，因耶和华曾对你们说：‘不可再回那条路去。’But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.
17王不可为自己多立妃嫔，免得他的心偏离；也不可为自己多积金银。Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
18他登了国度的王位之后，要在利未家的祭司面前，将这律法书为自己抄写一份在书卷上。And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
19这书要存在他那里，他一生的年日要诵读，好使他学习敬畏耶和华－他的神，谨守遵行这律法书上的一切话和这些律例，And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:
20免得他的心向弟兄高傲，偏离了这诫命，或向右或向左。这样，他和他的子孙就可以长久作王治理以色列。”That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.
祭司和利未人应得的份
“利未家的祭司和利未全支派在以色列中没有分得产业；他们可以吃耶和华的火祭，那是他的产业。
The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.
2他在弟兄中没有产业；耶和华是他的产业，正如耶和华所应许他的。Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
3祭司从百姓当得的权益是这样：凡献牛或羊为祭物的，要把前腿、两腮和胃给祭司。And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
4初收的五谷、新酒和新的油，以及初剪的羊毛，也要给他。The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
5因为耶和华－你的神从你众支派中拣选他，使他和他子孙永远奉耶和华的名侍立、事奉。For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.
6“利未人若离开他在以色列中所居住的任何一座城，一心愿意到耶和华所选择的地方，And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;
7就要在那里奉耶和华－他神的名事奉，正如他的众弟兄利未人在耶和华面前侍立一样。Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.

They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.
9“你到了耶和华－你神所赐你之地，不可学那些国家行可憎恶的事。When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10你中间不可有人使儿女经火，也不可有占卜的、观星象的、行法术的 、行邪术的、There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11施符咒的、招魂的、行巫术的和求问死人的。Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12凡做这些事的都是耶和华所憎恶的；因这可憎恶的事，耶和华－你的神把他们从你面前赶出去。For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13你要向耶和华－你的神作完全人。Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
14你所要赶出的那些国家都听从观星象的和占卜的，但是耶和华－你的神从来不准你这样做。”兴起像摩西的先知
For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
15“耶和华－你的神要从你弟兄中给你兴起一位先知像我，你们要听他。The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
16这正如你在何烈山大会的那日向耶和华－你的神所求的一切，说：‘求你不要再叫我听见耶和华－我神的声音，也不要再叫我看见这大火，免得我死亡。’According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17耶和华对我说：‘他们说得对。And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18我必在他们弟兄中给他们兴起一位先知像你。我要将当说的话放在他口里；他要将我一切所吩咐的都告诉他们。I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19谁不听从他奉我名所说的话，我必亲自向他追究。And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20若有先知擅自奉我的名说了我未曾吩咐他说的话，或是奉别神的名说话，那先知就必处死。’But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21你心里若说：‘我们怎能知道那话是耶和华未曾吩咐的呢？’And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22先知奉耶和华的名说话，所说的若没有实现，或不应验，这话就是耶和华未曾吩咐的，而是那先知擅自说的，你不必怕他。”When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
逃城的设立
（民35．9－28；书20．1－9）
“耶和华－你的神将列国剪除，他们的地耶和华－你神已赐给你，你又赶出他们，并且住在他们的城镇和房屋，
When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;
2那时，你要在耶和华－你神所赐你为业的地上，为自己指定三座城。Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.
3你要预备道路，将耶和华－你神使你承受为业的地分为三区，使任何一个杀人的可以逃到那里去。Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.
4“杀人的逃到那里得以存活的案例是这样：凡素无仇恨，无意中杀了邻舍的，And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;
5就如人与邻舍同入林中伐木，手拿斧子一砍，本想砍下树木，斧头却脱了把，飞落在邻舍身上，以致那人死去，这人就可以逃到那些城中的一座，得以存活，As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:
6免得报血仇的心中发火，去追赶那杀了人的，因为路途遥远就能追上他，把他杀死。其实他是不该死的，因为他与被杀者素无仇恨。Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.
7所以我吩咐你说，要为自己指定三座城。Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.
8耶和华－你的神若照他向你列祖所起的誓扩张你的疆土，将所应许赐你列祖的全地给你，And if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;
9你若谨守遵行我今日所吩咐的这一切诫命，爱耶和华－你的神，天天遵行他的道，就要在这三座城之外，再添三座城，If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:
10免得无辜人的血流在耶和华－你神所赐你为业的地中间，血就归到你身上了。That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.
11“若有人恨他的邻舍，埋伏等着，起来击杀他，把他杀死，然后逃到这些城中的一座，But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:
12他本城的长老就要派人去，从那里把他带出来，交在报血仇者的手中，把他处死。Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.
13你的眼不可顾惜他，要从以色列中除掉流无辜血的罪，使你得福。”地界
Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.
14“在耶和华－你神所赐你承受为业，所分得的地上，不可挪移你邻舍的地界，因为这是前人所定的。”证人的条例
Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.
15“人无论犯什么罪，作什么恶，不可单凭一个人的见证，总要凭两个证人的口或三个证人的口才可定案。One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
16若有人怀恶意，起来作证，控告他人犯法，If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;
17这两个争讼的人就要站在耶和华面前，和当时的祭司与审判官面前，Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days;
18审判官要细心调查。看哪，证人作的是伪证，要用伪证陷害弟兄，And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;
19你们就要对付他如同他想要对付的弟兄一样。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉。Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.
20其他的人听见就害怕，不敢在你中间再行这样的恶事了。And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.
21你的眼不可顾惜，要以命偿命，以眼还眼，以牙还牙，以手还手，以脚还脚。”And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
战争的条例
“你出去与仇敌作战，若看见马匹、战车，以及比你更多的士兵，不要怕他们，因为领你出埃及地的耶和华－你的神与你同在。
When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
2你们将要上阵的时候，祭司要来，向士兵宣告，And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,
3对他们说：‘以色列啊，要听！你们今日将要与仇敌作战，不要心惊胆战，不要惧怕战兢，也不要因他们惊慌，And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;
4因为与你们同去的是耶和华－你们的神，他要为你们与仇敌作战，拯救你们。’For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
5官长也要向士兵宣告说：‘谁建了新的房屋尚未奉献，他可以回家去，免得他阵亡，别人去奉献。And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
6谁栽植了葡萄园尚未享用所结的果子，他可以回家去，免得他阵亡，别人去享用。And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.
7谁与女子订了婚尚未迎娶，他可以回家去，免得他阵亡，别人去娶。’And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.
8官长要继续对士兵说：‘谁惧怕，心惊胆战，可以回家去，免得他弟兄的心像他的心一样消沉。’And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.
9官长向士兵宣告完毕，军官就率领士兵去了。And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people, that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people.
10“你来到一座城，要攻城之前，先向它宣告和平。When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.
11那城若愿意以和平回应，给你开城，城里所有的人就要为你做苦工，服事你。And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.
12若那城拒绝和平，却要与你打仗，你就要围困那城。And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:
13耶和华－你的神把那城交在你手里时，你就要用刀杀尽城里的男丁。And when the LORD thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:
14至于妇女、孩童、牲畜和城里所有的，你都可以取为自己的掠物。从仇敌所掠夺的，就是耶和华－你神所赐给你的，你都可以享用。But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
15离你很远的各城，就是不属于这些国家的城镇，你都要这样对待他们。Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.
16但是这些民族的城镇，就是耶和华－你神所赐给你的产业，其中凡有气息的，一个都不可存留。But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
17你要照耶和华－你神所吩咐的，将这些赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人全都灭绝，But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:
18免得他们教导你们去行一切可憎恶的事，就是他们向自己神明所行的，使你们得罪耶和华－你们的神。That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God.
19“你若围困一座城，需要攻打许多日子才能夺取，就不可用斧头砍坏树木。你可以吃树上的果子，却不可把树砍下来。田间的树木岂是人，让你去围攻的吗？When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege:
20只有那些你知道不能生产食物的树才可以毁坏；你可以把它们砍下来造攻城的工具，攻打那与你打仗的城，直到把城攻下。”Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it be subdued.
未结案的谋杀案件
“在耶和华－你神所赐你为业的地上，若发现有人被杀，暴尸野地，不知道是谁杀的，
If one be found slain in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him:
2长老和审判官☛“审判官”：撒玛利亚五经是“官长”。就要出去，从尸体那里量起，量到四围的城镇，Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain:
3看哪一座城最靠近这尸体，那城的几位长老就要取一头未曾耕地、未曾负轭的母牛犊；And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
4那城的长老要把这母牛犊牵到流着溪水、未曾耕耘、未曾撒种的山谷去，在谷中打断它的颈项。And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer's neck there in the valley:
5利未人祭司要近前来，因为耶和华－你的神拣选他们来事奉他，奉耶和华的名祝福，并且有任何的争讼和殴打，都由他们的口判决。And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:
6离尸体最近的那座城的每位长老要在山谷中，在颈项被打断的母牛犊上面洗手，And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley:
7声明说：‘我们的手未曾流这人的血；我们的眼也未曾看见这事。And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
8耶和华啊，求你赦免你所救赎的百姓以色列，不要让无辜的血归在你的百姓以色列中间。’这样，他们流血的罪就必得赦免。Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.
9你行了耶和华眼中看为正的事，就可以从你中间除掉无辜的血。”娶女俘虏的条例
So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
10“你出去与仇敌作战的时候，耶和华－你的神将他交在你手中，你就掳了他为俘虏。When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,
11若你在被掳的人中看见美丽的女子，喜欢她，要娶她为妻，And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
12就可以带她到你家去。她要剪头发，修指甲，Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;
13脱去被掳时所穿的衣服，住在你家里为自己父母哀哭一个月。然后，你就可以与她同房；你作她的丈夫，她作你的妻子。And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
14以后你若不喜欢她，就要让她自由离开，绝不可为钱把她卖了，也不可把她当奴隶看待，因为你已经占有过她。”长子的继承权
And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
15“人若有两个妻子，一个是他宠爱的，另一个是失宠的☛“失宠的”：原文是“被恨的”；下同。，她们都给他生了儿子，但长子是他失宠妻子生的；If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
16到了分产业给儿子的时候，不可将自己宠爱的妻子所生的儿子立为长子，在他失宠妻子所生的长子之上。Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:
17他必须认失宠妻子所生的儿子为长子，在所有的产业中给他双分，因为这儿子是他壮年时生的，长子的名分应当是他的。”逆子的处置
But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.
18“人若有顽梗忤逆的儿子，不听从父母的话，他们虽然惩戒他，他还是不听从他们，If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
19父母就要抓住他，带他出去到当地的城门，本城的长老那里，Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;
20对本城的长老说：‘我们这个儿子顽梗忤逆，不听从我们的话，是贪食好酒的人。’And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
21然后，城里的众人就要用石头将他打死。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉，全以色列听见了都要害怕。”其他条例
And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
22“人若犯了死罪被处死，你把他挂在木头上，And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:
23不可让尸体留在木头上过夜，一定要当日把他埋葬，因为被挂的人是神所诅咒的。你不可玷污耶和华－你神所赐你为业的地。”His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
“你若看见弟兄的牛或羊迷了路，不可避开它们，总要把它们牵回来交给你的弟兄。
Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
2你弟兄若离你远，或是你不认识他，你就要牵到你家，留在你那里，等你的弟兄来寻找就还给他。And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
3你弟兄所失落的，无论是驴，衣服，或任何东西，你若发现，都要这样做，不能避开。In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
4你若看见你弟兄的牛或驴在路上跌倒了，不可避开它们，总要帮助他把牛或驴拉起来。Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
5“妇女不可穿戴男子所穿戴的，男人也不可穿妇女的衣服，因为这样做是耶和华－你神所憎恶的。The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
6“你若路上看见鸟窝，无论在树上或地上，里头有小鸟或有蛋，母鸟伏在小鸟或蛋上，你不可连母鸟带小鸟一起拿去。If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:
7总要放母鸟走，只可以取小鸟。这样你就可以享福，日子得以长久。But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
8“你若建造新房屋，要在屋顶安栏杆，免得有人从屋顶掉下来，血就归于你家。When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
9“不可在你的葡萄园里栽种别的种子，免得你栽种所结的和葡萄园的果子都成了圣物。Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
10不可并用牛和驴来耕地。Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11不可穿羊毛和细麻混合做成的衣服。Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.
12“你要在所披外衣的四个边上缝繸子。”贞洁的条例
Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
13“人若娶妻，与她同房后恨恶她，If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
14捏造她行可耻的事，把丑名加在她身上，说：‘我娶了这女人，亲近她，却发现她没有贞洁的凭据’。And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:
15女方的父母就要把这女子贞洁的凭据拿出去，到城门的本城长老那里。Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:
16女方的父亲要对长老说：‘我把女儿嫁给这人，他却恨恶她，And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;
17看哪，他捏造可耻的事，说：我发现你女儿没有贞洁的凭据。但是，这就是我女儿贞洁的凭据。’父母要把那布铺在本城长老的面前。And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18那城的长老要拿住那人，惩罚他，And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
19罚他一百银子，给女方的父亲，因为他把丑名加在以色列一个少女身上。这女子仍是他的妻子，那人终身不可休她。And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
20但若这事是真的，找不到女子贞洁的凭据，But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21他们就要把这女子带到她父家的门口，城里的人要用石头打死她，因为她在父家犯了淫乱，在以色列中做了可耻的事。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉。Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
22“若发现有人与有夫之妇同寝，就要将奸夫淫妇一起处死。这样，你就把恶从以色列中除掉。If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
23“若一女子是处女，已经许配了人，有男子在城里遇见她，与她同寝，If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24你们就要把这二人带到那城的城门口，用石头打死他们。处死女子是因为她虽然在城里， 却没有喊叫；处死男子是因为他玷污了邻舍的妻子。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉。Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25“若有男子在野地遇见已经许配人的女子，抓住她与她同寝，只要处死那与女子同寝的男子。But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:
26不可对女子处刑，这女子没有该死的罪。这案件就好比人起来攻击邻舍，把他杀了一样。But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27因为男子是在野地遇见她，这已经许配了人的女子虽然喊叫，却没有人救她。For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
28“若有男子遇见没有许配人的少女，抓住她与她同寝，被人发现，If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29这男子就要拿五十银子给女子的父亲，并要娶她为妻，终身不可休她，因为他玷污了这女子。Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
30“人不可娶继母为妻，不可掀开父亲衣服的下边☛“掀开...下边”意思是“侵犯父亲的权益”；27．20同。。”A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
不可进入圣会的人
“凡外肾损伤的，或被阉割的，不可入耶和华的会。
He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
2“私生子不可入耶和华的会；甚至到第十代，也不可入耶和华的会。A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
3“亚扪人或摩押人不可入耶和华的会；甚至到第十代，也永不可入耶和华的会。An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:
4因为你们出埃及的时候，他们没有拿食物和水在路上迎接你们，并且雇了美索不达米亚的毗夺人，比珥的儿子巴兰来诅咒你。Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
5然而耶和华－你的神不愿听巴兰，耶和华－你的神为你使诅咒变为祝福，因为耶和华－你的神爱你。Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.
6你一生一世永不可为他们求平安和福气。Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.
7“不可憎恶以东人，因为他是你的弟兄。不可憎恶埃及人，因为你曾在他的地上作过寄居的。Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
8他们所生的第三代子孙可以入耶和华的会。”军营的卫生
The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.
9“你出兵攻打敌人，要远离一切恶事。When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.
10“你中间若有人因夜间梦遗而不洁净，就要出到营外，不可入营。If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
11到了傍晚，他要用水洗澡，等到日落才可以入营。But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.
12“你要在营外划定一个地方，你可以出去在那里方便。Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:
13在你器械中当有一把锹；你出营外便溺以后，要用它挖洞，转身掩盖排泄物。And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:
14因为耶和华－你的神在你营中走动，要拯救你，将仇敌交给你，所以你的营应当圣洁，免得他见你那里有污秽之物就转身离开你。”一般条例
For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
15“你不可把从主人身边逃到你那里的奴仆，交回给他的主人，Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:
16要让他在你那里与你同住，由他在你的城镇中选择一个自己喜欢的地方居住，不可欺负他。He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.
17“以色列的女子中不可作神庙娼妓；以色列的男子中也不可作神庙娼妓。There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
18妓女和男娼☛“男娼”：原文是“狗”。的赏金，都不可带进耶和华－你神的殿中还愿，因为两者都是耶和华－你神所憎恶的。Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
19“你借给你弟兄的，无论是钱财是粮食，或任何可生利息的财物，都不可取利。Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:
20借给外邦人可以取利，但借给你的弟兄就不可取利；好让耶和华－你的神在你去得为业的地上和你手里所做的一切，赐福给你。Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
21“你向耶和华－你的神许愿，不可迟延还愿，因为耶和华－你的神必定向你追讨，你就有罪了。When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
22你若不许愿，倒没有罪。But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
23你嘴唇所说的，你亲口承诺的，要照你甘心向耶和华－你神许的愿谨守遵行。That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.
24“你进入邻舍的葡萄园，可以随意吃葡萄，直到饱足，却不可装在器皿中。When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.
25你进入邻舍的庄稼中，可以用手摘麦穗，却不可用镰刀割取庄稼。”When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.
休妻和再婚的条例
“人若娶妻，作了她的丈夫，发现她有不合宜的事不喜欢她，而写休书交在她手中，打发她离开夫家，
When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2妇人若离开夫家以后，去嫁别人，And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
3后夫若恨恶她，写休书交在她手中，打发她离开夫家，又或者娶她为妻的后夫死了，And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
4那休她的前夫就不可在妇人玷污之后再娶她为妻，因为这是耶和华所憎恶的。不可使耶和华－你神所赐为业之地蒙受玷污。一般条例
Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
5“人若娶了新娘，不可从军出征，也不可派他办理任何事情。他可以在家清闲一年，使他所娶的妻快活。When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
6“不可拿人的石磨或上面的磨石作抵押，因为这是拿人的命作抵押。No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: for he taketh a man's life to pledge.
7“若发现有人绑架以色列人中的一个弟兄，把他当奴隶对待，或把他卖了，那绑架人的就必处死。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉。If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
8“关于麻风☛“麻风”泛指传染性皮肤病。的灾病，你们要谨慎，照利未家的祭司一切所指教你们的留心遵行。我怎样吩咐他们，你们要照样遵行。Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
9要记得，在你们出埃及后的路途中，耶和华－你的神向米利暗所做的事。Remember what the LORD thy God did unto Miriam by the way, after that ye were come forth out of Egypt.
10“你借给邻舍，无论是什么，不可进他家拿抵押品。When thou dost lend thy brother any thing, thou shalt not go into his house to fetch his pledge.
11要站在外面，等那借贷的人把抵押品拿出来交给你。Thou shalt stand abroad, and the man to whom thou dost lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto thee.
12他若是困苦的人，你不可用他的抵押品盖着睡觉。And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge:
13日落的时候，总要把抵押品还给他，让他用那件外衣盖着睡觉，他就为你祝福。这在耶和华－你的神面前就是你的义行了。In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the LORD thy God.
14“困苦贫穷的雇工，无论是你的弟兄，或是住在你境内，在你城里寄居的，你都不可欺负他☛“欺负他”：七十士译本是“扣留他的工钱”。。Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
15要当日给他工钱，不可等到日落，因为他困苦，需要靠工钱过活，免得他因你的缘故求告耶和华，罪就归于你了。At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
16“不可因儿子处死父亲，也不可因父亲处死儿子；各人要因自己的罪被处死。The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
17“不可对寄居的和孤儿屈枉正直，也不可拿寡妇的衣服作抵押。Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge:
18要记得你曾在埃及作过奴仆，耶和华－你的神从那里救赎了你，所以我吩咐你遵行这事。But thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
19“你在田间收割庄稼，若忘了一捆在田间，就不要再回去拿，要留给寄居的、孤儿和寡妇；好让耶和华－你的神在你手里所做的一切，赐福给你。When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.
20你打了橄榄树，枝上剩下的不可再打，要留给寄居的、孤儿和寡妇。When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21你摘葡萄园的葡萄，掉落的不可拾取，要留给寄居的、孤儿和寡妇。When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
22你要记得你曾在埃及地作过奴仆，所以我吩咐你遵行这事。And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
“人与人若有争讼，要求审判，当宣判义人为义，恶人有罪的时候，
If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
2恶人若该受责打，审判官就要叫他当着面，伏在地上，按他的罪照数责打。And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
3只能打四十下，不可加多；多过这数目就是在你眼中作贱你的弟兄了。Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.
4“牛在踹谷的时候，不可笼住它的嘴。”为去世的兄弟传宗接代
Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.
5“兄弟住在一起，若其中一个死了，没有儿子，死者的妻子就不可出去嫁给陌生人。她丈夫的兄弟应当尽兄弟的本分，娶她为妻，与她同房。If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her.
6妇人生的长子要归在已故兄弟的名下，免得他的名在以色列中涂去了。And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.
7那人若不情愿娶他兄弟的妻子，他兄弟的妻子就要上到城门长老那里，说：‘我丈夫的兄弟拒绝在以色列中为他的兄弟留名，不愿意为我尽兄弟的本分。’And if the man like not to take his brother's wife, then let his brother's wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband's brother.
8本城的长老就要召那人来，跟他谈话。若他坚持说：‘我不情愿娶她。’Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;
9他兄弟的妻子就要在长老眼前来到那人跟前，脱下他脚上的鞋，吐唾沫在他脸上，回应说：‘凡不为兄弟建立家室的都要这样待他。’Then shall his brother's wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother's house.
10在以色列中，他要以‘脱鞋之家’闻名。”其他条例
And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe loosed.
11“若有人和弟兄争斗，其中一人的妻子近前去，为了救丈夫脱离那打丈夫之人的手，伸手抓住那人的下体，When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:
12你就要砍断妇人的手，你的眼不可顾惜。Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.
13“你袋中不可有一大一小两样的法码。Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.
14你家里不可有一大一小两样的伊法☛“伊法”是量固体的量器或单位；下同。。Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.
15当用准确公正的法码和伊法，好使你的日子在耶和华－你神所赐你的地上得以长久。But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
16因为行这一切不义之事的人都是耶和华－你神所憎恶的。”命令消灭亚玛力人
For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
17“你要记得你们出埃及的时候，亚玛力在路上怎样对待你，Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;
18在路上迎击你，趁你疲乏困倦时击杀所有在你后面软弱的人；并不敬畏神。How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.
19所以，当耶和华－你的神使你不被四围一切仇敌扰乱，在耶和华－你神赐你为业的地上得享平静的时候，你要把亚玛力的名从天下涂去；你不可忘记这事。”Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
奉献初熟的土产
“你进去得了耶和华－你神所赐你为业的地，并且居住在那里的时候，
And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;
2就要从耶和华－你神所赐你的地上，将收成的各种初熟土产取一些来，盛在筐子里，带到那里，耶和华－你神选择作为他名居所的地方，That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.
3到当时的祭司那里，对他说：‘我今日向耶和华－你的神宣认，我已来到耶和华向我们列祖起誓要赐给我们的地。’And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.
4祭司就从你手里把筐子接过来，供在耶和华－你神的祭坛前。And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.
5你要在耶和华－你神面前告白说：‘我的祖先原是一个流亡的亚兰人，带着稀少的人丁下到埃及寄居。在那里，他却成了又大又强、人数众多的国。And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:
6埃及人恶待我们，迫害我们，将苦工加在我们身上。And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:
7于是我们哀求耶和华我们列祖的神。耶和华听见我们的声音，看见我们所受的困苦、劳役和欺压，And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:
8耶和华就用大能的手和伸出来的膀臂，以及大而可畏的事和神迹奇事，领我们出了埃及，And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:
9将我们领进这地方，把这流奶与蜜之地赐给我们。And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.
10耶和华啊，看哪，现在我把你所赐我地上初熟的土产供上。’随后你要把筐子供在耶和华－你神面前，向耶和华－你的神下拜。And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:
11你和利未人，以及在你中间寄居的，要因耶和华－你神所赐你和你家的一切福分欢乐。And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.
12“每逢第三年，就是捐十分之一的那年，你从你一切土产中取了十分之一，要分给利未人、寄居的、孤儿和寡妇，使他们在你的城镇中可以吃得饱足。When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;
13你又要在耶和华－你神面前说：‘我已将圣物从家里拿出来，给了利未人、寄居的、孤儿和寡妇，是遵照你吩咐我的一切命令。你的命令，我没有违背，也没有忘记。Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:
14我守丧的时候，没有吃这圣物，不洁净的时候，也没有拿出来，又没有把它献给死人。我听从了耶和华－我神的话，都照你一切所吩咐的做了。I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.
15求你从天上，从你的圣所垂看，赐福给你的百姓以色列和你向我们列祖起誓所赐给我们的这片土地，就是流奶与蜜之地。’”作神圣的子民
Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
16“耶和华－你的神今日吩咐你遵行这些律例典章，所以你要尽心尽性谨守遵行。This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
17你今日宣认耶和华为你的神，承诺遵行他的道，谨守他的律例、诫命、典章，听从他的话。Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
18耶和华今日照他所应许你的，也认你为他宝贵的子民，叫你谨守他的一切诫命，And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;
19要使你得称赞、美名、尊荣，超乎他所造的万国之上，并且照他所应许的，使你归耶和华－你的神为神圣的子民。”And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.
写在石头上的律法和石坛
摩西和以色列的众长老吩咐百姓说：“你们要遵守我今日所吩咐的一切诫命。
And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.
2你们过了约旦河，到耶和华－你神所赐给你的地，当日要竖立几块大石头，涂上石灰。And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:
3当你过了河，进入耶和华－你神所赐给你流奶与蜜之地，正如耶和华－你列祖的神所应许你的，你要把这律法的一切话写在石头上。And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
4你们过了约旦河，就要在基利心山☛“基利心山”是根据撒玛利亚五经和一些古译本；原文是“以巴路山”。上照我今日所吩咐的，把这些石头竖立起来，涂上石灰。Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.
5你在那里要为耶和华－你的神筑一座石坛，却不可动用铁器在石头上。And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
6要用没有凿过的石头筑耶和华－你神的坛，在坛上将燔祭献给耶和华－你的神，Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:
7又要献平安祭，在那里吃，在耶和华－你的神面前欢乐。And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.
8你要将这律法的一切话清楚地写在石头上。”And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
9摩西和利未家的祭司吩咐以色列众人说：“以色列啊，你要静默倾听！你今日已成为耶和华－你神的子民了。And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.
10你要听从耶和华－你神的话，遵行他的诫命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的。”违命必受诅咒
Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
11当日，摩西吩咐百姓说：And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,
12“你们过了约旦河，西缅、利未、犹大、以萨迦、约瑟和便雅悯等支派的人要站在基利心山上为百姓祝福。These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
13吕便、迦得、亚设、西布伦、但和拿弗他利等支派的人要站在以巴路山上宣布诅咒。And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14利未人要大声对以色列众人说：And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
15“‘凡制造耶和华所憎恶的偶像，无论是雕刻的，是铸造的，就是工匠用手造的，或暗中设置的，这人必受诅咒！’众百姓要回应说：‘阿们！’Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
16“‘轻慢父母的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
17“‘挪移邻舍地界的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
18“‘引领瞎子走错路的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.
19“‘对寄居的、孤儿和寡妇屈枉正直的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.
20“‘与继母同寝的，必受诅咒！因为他掀开父亲衣服的下边。’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.
21“‘与兽交合的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.
22“‘与同父异母，或同母异父的姊妹同寝的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
23“‘与岳母同寝的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.
24“‘暗中击杀邻舍的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.
25“‘受贿赂击杀人而流无辜之血的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.
26“‘不坚守遵行这律法之话的，必受诅咒！’众百姓要说：‘阿们！’”Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
遵行诫命蒙福
（利26．3－13；申7．12－24）
“你若留心听从耶和华－你神的话，谨守遵行他的一切诫命，就是我今日所吩咐你的，他必使你超乎地上的万国之上。
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2你若听从耶和华－你神的话，这一切的福气必临到你身上，追随你：And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3你在城里必蒙福，在田间也必蒙福。Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4你身所生的，你地所产的，你牲畜所生的，牛犊、羔羊，都必蒙福。Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5你的筐子和你的揉面盆都必蒙福。Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6你出也蒙福，入也蒙福。Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7“耶和华必使那起来攻击你的仇敌在你面前溃败。他们从一条路来攻击你，必在你面前从七条路逃跑。The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8在你仓房里，以及你手所做的一切，耶和华必发令赐福给你。耶和华－你神也必在所赐你的地上赐福给你。The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9你若谨守耶和华－你神的诫命，遵行他的道，他必照他向你所起的誓立你为自己神圣的子民。The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10地上的万民见你归在耶和华的名下，就必惧怕你。And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11在耶和华向你列祖起誓应许赐你的土地上，他必使你身所生的，牲畜所生的，地所产的，都丰富有余。And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12耶和华必为你敞开天上的宝库，按时降雨在你的地上。他必赐福你手里所做的一切。你必借给许多国家，却不必去借贷。The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13你若听从耶和华－你神的诫命，就是我今日所吩咐你的，谨守遵行，耶和华就必使你作首不作尾，居上不居下，And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
14只要你不偏左右，不背离我今日所吩咐你的一切话，也不随从别神，事奉它们。”违反诫命遭祸
（利26．14－46）
And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15“你若不听从耶和华－你神的话，不谨守遵行他的一切诫命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，这一切的诅咒必临到你身上，追随你：But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16你在城里必受诅咒，在田间也必受诅咒。Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17你的筐子和你的揉面盆都必受诅咒。Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
18你身所生的，你地所产的，以及牛犊、羔羊，都必受诅咒。Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
19你出也受诅咒，入也受诅咒。Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
20耶和华因你作恶离弃他，必在你手里所做的一切，使诅咒、困扰、责罚临到你，直到你被除灭，直到你迅速灭亡。The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21耶和华必使瘟疫紧贴着你，直到他把你从所进去得为业的地上灭绝。The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22耶和华要用痨病、热病、发炎、高烧、刀剑☛“刀剑”：原文另译“干旱”。、焚风☛“焚风”或译“虫害”。和霉烂攻击你；这些要追赶你，直到你灭亡。The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
23你头上的天要变成铜，下面的地要化为铁。And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
24耶和华要使那降在你地上的雨变为灰尘，尘土从天落在你身上，直到你被除灭。The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25“耶和华必使你在仇敌面前溃败。你从一条路去攻击他们，必从七条路逃跑。地上万国必因你而惊骇。The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26你的尸首必给空中的飞鸟和地上的走兽作食物，却无人哄赶。And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
27耶和华必用埃及人的疮、溃疡、癣和疥攻击你，使你不得医治。The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
28耶和华必用癫狂、眼瞎、心惊攻击你。The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
29你必在午间摸索，好像盲人在黑暗中摸索。你的道路必不亨通，天天受人欺压、抢夺，无人搭救。And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
30你聘了妻子，别人必与她同寝；你建了房屋，却不得住在其内；你栽植了葡萄园，却不得享用所结的果子。Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
31你的牛在你眼前宰了，你吃不到它的肉；你的驴在你眼前被人抢夺，却讨不回来；你的羊被敌人拿走，无人帮助你。Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
32你的儿女被交给别国的民；你的眼目终日切望，甚至失明，你的手却无能为力。Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand:
33你地所产的和你劳力所得的，必被你所不认识的百姓吃尽。你天天只被欺负，受压制，The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
34甚至你因眼中所见的景象而疯狂。So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35耶和华必攻击你，使你膝上腿上，从脚掌到头顶，都长满了毒疮，无法医治。The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
36“耶和华必将你和你所立统治你的王，领到你和你列祖不认识的国去；在那里你必事奉别神，就是木头和石头。The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
37你在耶和华赶你到的万民中，要令人惊骇，成为笑柄，被人讥诮。And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
38你撒在田里的种子虽多，收的却少，因为蝗虫把它吃光了。Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
39你栽植修整葡萄园，却没有酒喝，也不得储存，因为虫子把它吃了。Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
40你全境有橄榄树，却得不到油抹身，因为你的橄榄都掉光了。Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
41你生儿育女，却不属于你，因为他们必被掳去。Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42你所有的树木和你地里的出产必被蝗虫吃尽了。All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
43在你中间寄居的必上升高过你，高而又高；你必下降，低而又低。The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44他必借给你，你却不能借给他；他必作首，你必作尾。He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
45这一切的诅咒必临到你，追赶你，赶上你，直到把你除灭，因为你不听从耶和华－你神的话，不遵守他吩咐的诫命律例。Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
46这些诅咒必在你和你后裔身上成为神迹奇事，直到永远！And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
47因为你富裕的时候，不以欢喜快乐的心事奉耶和华－你的神，Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
48所以你必在饥饿、干渴、赤身、缺乏中事奉仇敌，那是耶和华派来攻击你的。他必把铁轭加在你的颈项上，直到把你除灭。Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
49耶和华要从远方、地极之处带一国来，如鹰飞来攻击你；这国的语言，你听不懂。The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50这国的人面貌凶恶，不给长者面子，也不恩待年轻人。A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
51他们必吃你牲畜所生的和你土地所产的，直到你被除灭。你的五谷、新酒和新的油，以及牛犊、羔羊，他都不给你留下，直到使你灭亡。And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52他们必在你的各城围困你，直到你在全地所倚靠、高大坚固的城墙都倒塌。他们必在耶和华－你神所赐给你全地的各城围困你。And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
53你在仇敌围困的窘迫中，必吃你本身所生的，就是耶和华－你神所赐给你的儿女之肉。And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
54你中间，连那温和文雅的人都必冷眼恶待自己的兄弟和怀中的妻子，以及他所剩下其余的儿女，So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
55不把所吃儿女的肉分一点给他们任何一个人，因为在被仇敌围困、陷入窘迫的各城中，他已经一无所剩了。So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
56你中间柔顺娇嫩的妇人，甚至因柔顺娇嫩脚不肯踏地的妇人，也必冷眼恶待她怀中的丈夫和自己的儿女。The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57在被仇敌围困、陷入窘迫的城镇中，她因缺乏一切，就要暗中把从她两腿中间出来的胞衣和所生下的儿女吃了。And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
58“这书上所写律法的一切话，是叫你敬畏耶和华－你神尊荣可畏的名，你若不谨守遵行，If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
59耶和华就必将奇异的灾害，就是严重持久的灾害和长期难治的疾病，加在你和你后裔的身上。Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60他必使你所畏惧、埃及一切的疾病临到你，紧贴着你，Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
61没有写在这律法书上的各样疾病、灾害，耶和华也必降在你身上，直到你被除灭。Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
62你们虽然曾像天上的星那样多，却因不听从耶和华－你神的话，所剩的人丁就稀少了。And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.
63耶和华先前怎样喜爱善待你们，使你们增多，耶和华也要照样喜爱消灭你们，使你们灭绝。你们必从所要进去得为业的地上被拔除。And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
64耶和华必把你们分散在万民中，从地的这边到地的另一边，在那里你必事奉你和你列祖不认识的神明，就是木头和石头。And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
65在那些国中，你必得不到安宁，脚掌也没有安歇之处；耶和华却要使你在那里心中发颤，眼目失明，精神沮丧。And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66你的一生悬空不安；你昼夜恐惧，生命没有保障。And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
67你因心中的恐惧，眼睛所见的景象，早晨必说：‘但愿现在是晚上！’晚上必说：‘但愿现在是早晨！’In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
68耶和华要用船把你送回埃及去，走那我曾告诉你不再看见的路；在那里你们必卖身给你的仇敌作奴婢，却没有人要买。”And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
在摩押重新立约
耶和华在何烈山与以色列人立约以外，这是耶和华在摩押地吩咐摩西与以色列人立约的话。
These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
2摩西召全以色列来，对他们说：“耶和华在埃及地，在你们眼前向法老和他众臣仆，以及他的全地所做的一切事，你们都看见了，And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
3就是你亲眼看见的大考验，那些神迹和大奇事。The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
4但耶和华到今日还没有使你们心能明白，眼能看见，耳能听见。Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
5我领你们在旷野四十年，你们身上的衣服没有穿破，脚上的鞋也没有穿坏；And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
6你们没有吃饼，也没有喝清酒烈酒，好让你们知道‘我─耶和华是你们的神’。Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.
7你们来到这地方，希实本王西宏和巴珊王噩出来迎击我们，与我们交战，我们击败了他们，And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:
8取了他们的地，给吕便支派、迦得支派和玛拿西半支派为业。And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.
9所以你们要谨守这约的话，遵行它们，好使你们在一切所做的事上亨通。Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
10“今日你们全都要站在耶和华－你们的神面前，就是各领袖、族长☛“族长”：原文是“支派”。、长老、官长、以色列所有的男子、Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
11你们的妻子儿女、你营中寄居的，从为你砍柴到为你挑水的人，Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:
12为要使你进入耶和华－你神的约，就是耶和华－你神今日向你起誓所立的；That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:
13这样，他今日要立你作他的子民，他作你的神，是照他向你所应许的，又照他向你列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所起的誓。That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
14我不单单与你们立这约，起这誓，Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
15就是今日与我们一同站在耶和华－我们神面前的，而且也包括今日不在我们这里的人。But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
16“你们知道，我们曾住过埃及地，也经过列国，从他们中间穿越。(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
17你们也见过他们的可憎之物，他们木、石、金、银的偶像。And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
18惟恐你们中间有人，或男或女，或宗族或支派，今日心里偏离耶和华－我们的神，去事奉那些国的神明，又怕你们中间有根长出苦菜和茵陈来。Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
19这样的人听见这诅咒的话，心里还庆幸，说：‘我虽然随着顽固的心行事，却还是平安无事。’以致有水的和无水的都消灭了。And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
20耶和华必不愿饶恕他；耶和华的怒气与妒忌必向他如烟冒出，将这书上所写的一切诅咒都加在他身上，耶和华也要从天下涂去他的名。The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
21耶和华又必照着写在律法书上，约中的一切诅咒，将他从以色列众支派中分别出来，使他遭受祸害。And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
22你们的后代，就是接续你们兴起的子孙，和远方来的外邦人，看见这地的灾祸，以及耶和华所降于这地的疾病，So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
23遍地都被硫磺和盐所侵蚀，不能耕种，没有出产，连草都长不出来，好像耶和华在怒气和愤怒中所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样，And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
24万国必说：‘耶和华为什么向此地这样做呢？为什么要大发烈怒呢？’Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
25人必说：‘这是因为这地的人离弃了耶和华─他们列祖的神领他们出埃及地的时候与他们所立的约，Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
26去事奉别神，敬拜他们所不认识的神明，这是耶和华未曾允许的。For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
27所以耶和华的怒气向这地发作，将这书上所写的一切诅咒都降在这地上。And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
28耶和华在怒气、愤怒、大恼恨中将他们从本地拔出来，扔到别的地上，像今日一样。’And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
29“隐秘的事是属耶和华─我们神的，但明显的事是永远属我们和我们子孙的，为要叫我们遵行这律法上的一切话。”The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
回转和蒙福
“当这一切的事，就是我摆在你面前的祝福和诅咒临到你的时候，你在耶和华－你神赶逐你去的万国中，心里回想这些事，
And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
2你和你的子孙若尽心尽性归向耶和华－你的神，照我今日一切所吩咐你的，听从他的话，And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
3耶和华－你的神就必怜悯你，使你这被掳的子民归回。耶和华－你的神必转回，从分散你到的万民中把你召集回来。That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
4你就是被赶逐到天涯，耶和华－你的神也必从那里召集你，从那里领你回来。If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5耶和华－你的神必领你进入你列祖所得的地，你必得着这地为业。他必善待你，使你增多，胜过你的列祖。And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
6耶和华－你的神要使你的心和你后裔的心受割礼，好叫你尽心尽性爱耶和华－你的神，使你可以存活。And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
7耶和华－你的神必将这一切诅咒加在你仇敌和恨恶你、迫害你的人身上。And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
8你必回转，听从耶和华的话，遵行他的一切诫命，就是我今日所吩咐你的。And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
9耶和华－你的神必使你手里所做的一切，以及你身所生的，牲畜所生的，土地所产的都丰富有余，而且顺利；耶和华必再喜爱善待你，正如他喜爱你的列祖一样，And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
10只要你听从耶和华－你神的话，谨守这律法书上所写的诫命律例，尽心尽性归向耶和华－你的神。”生命之道
If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11“我今日所吩咐你的诫命，对你并不困难，也不太远；For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12不是在天上，使你说：‘谁为我们上天去取来给我们，使我们听了可以遵行呢？’It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13也不是在海的那边，使你说：‘谁为我们渡海到另一边，去取来给我们，使我们听了可以遵行呢？’Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14因这话离你很近，就在你口中，在你心里，使你可以遵行。But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
15“看，我今日将生死祸福摆在你面前。See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16我今日所吩咐你的☛“我今日所吩咐你的”：七十士译本是“如果你遵行主－你神的诫命，就是我今日所吩咐你的”。，就是要爱耶和华－你的神，遵行他的道，谨守他的诫命、律例、典章，使你可以存活，增多，而且耶和华－你的神必在你所要进去得为业的地上赐福给你。In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17倘若你的心偏离，不肯听从，却被引诱去敬拜别神，事奉它们，But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18我今日向你们申明，你们必定灭亡；在你过约旦河进去得为业的地上，你的日子必不长久。I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
19我今日呼天唤地向你作见证：我已经将生与死，祝福与诅咒，摆在你面前。所以你要拣选生命，好使你和你的后裔都得存活。I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
20要爱耶和华－你的神，听从他的话，紧紧跟随他，因为他是你的生命，必使你的日子得以长久，可以在耶和华向你列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓要给他们的地上居住。”That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
约书亚继承摩西
摩西去把这些话吩咐以色列众人☛“去...众人”：死海古卷和七十士译本是“对以色列众人说完了这一切话”。，
And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.
2对他们说：“我已经一百二十岁了，现在不能照常出入。耶和华曾对我说：‘你不得过这约旦河。’And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
3耶和华－你的神必在你面前过河，把这些国从你面前除灭，你就必得他们的地。约书亚要在你面前过河，是照耶和华所吩咐的。The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said.
4耶和华必对待他们，如同从前待他所除灭的亚摩利人的王西宏与噩，以及他们的国一样。And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.
5耶和华必将他们交在你们面前，你们要照我所吩咐的一切命令待他们。And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
6你们当刚强壮胆，不要害怕，也不要畏惧他们，因为耶和华－你的神必与你同去；他必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。”Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
9摩西写下这律法，交给抬耶和华约柜的利未人祭司和以色列的众长老。And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.
10摩西吩咐他们说：“每逢七年的最后一年，就是定期的豁免年，在住棚节的时候，And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
11当以色列众人来到耶和华－你神所选择的地方朝见他的时候，你要在以色列众人面前念这律法给他们听。When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
12要召集百姓，男人、女人、孩子，和在你城里寄居的，叫他们都得以听见，好学习敬畏耶和华－你们的神，谨守遵行这律法的一切话。Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
13他们的儿女，就是那未曾认识的，也可以听，学习敬畏耶和华－你们的神；你们一生的日子，在你们过约旦河得为业的地上，都要这样做。”对摩西最后的指示
And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
14耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，你的死期已近了。要召约书亚来，和你一起站在会幕里，我好吩咐他。”于是摩西和约书亚去站在会幕里。And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.
15耶和华在会幕里，在云柱中显现，云柱停在会幕门口的上面。And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.
16耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，你必和你的祖先同睡。这百姓要起来，在他们所要去的地上，在那地的人中，随从外邦的神明行淫，离弃我，违背我与他们所立的约。And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
17那时，我的怒气必向他们发作，我必离弃他们，转脸不顾他们，以致他们被吞灭，并有许多的祸患灾难临到他们。在那日，人必说：‘这些祸患临到我，岂不是因为我的神不在我中间吗？’Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
18在那日，因人偏向别神所行的一切恶事，我必定转脸不顾。And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.
19现在你们要写下这首歌，教导以色列人，放在他们口中，使这首歌成为我指责以色列人的见证。Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
20因为我将他们领进我向他们列祖起誓应许那流奶与蜜之地，他们在那里吃得饱足，长得肥胖，就偏向别神，事奉它们，藐视我，背弃我的约。For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
21当许多祸患灾难临到他们的时候，这首歌必在他们面前作见证，因为他们后裔的口必吟诵不忘。我未领他们到我所起誓应许之地以先，他们所怀的意念我都知道了。”And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.
22当日摩西就写了一首歌，教导以色列人。Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.

24当摩西把这律法的话写完在书上，到完成的时候，And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
25摩西吩咐抬耶和华约柜的利未人说：That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
26“把这律法书拿来，放在耶和华－你们神的约柜旁，可以在那里作指责你们的见证。Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
27因为我知道你们是悖逆的，是硬着颈项的。看哪，我今日还活着与你们同在，你们尚且悖逆耶和华，何况我死后呢？For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?
28你们要召集你们支派的众长老和官长到我这里来，我好把这些话说给他们听，并且呼唤天地见证他们的不是。Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.
29我知道我死后你们必全然败坏，偏离我所吩咐你们的道。日后必有祸患临到你们，因为你们做了耶和华眼中看为恶的事，以你们手中所做的惹他发怒。”摩西之歌
For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
30摩西把这首歌的话，从头到尾吟诵给以色列全会众听。And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.
Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
2我的教导要淋漓如雨， 我的言语要滴落如露， 如细雨降在嫩草上， 如甘霖降在蔬菜中。My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
3因为我要宣扬耶和华的名， 你们要把伟大归给我们的神。Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
4“他是磐石，他的作为完全， 他一切所行的都公平； 他是信实无伪的神， 又公义，又正直。He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
5这乖僻弯曲的世代 向他行了败坏的事； 因着他们的弊病， 不再是他的儿女。They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
6愚昧无知的百姓啊， 你们这样报答耶和华吗？ 他岂不是你的父，创造了你吗？ 他造了你，坚立你。Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
7你当回想上古之日， 思念历代之年； 问你的父亲，他必告诉你； 问你的长者，他必向你述说。Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

13耶和华使他驰骋在地的高处， 他吃田间的出产； 耶和华使他从岩石中吃蜜， 从坚石中吸油，He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
14也吃牛的乳酪、羊的奶、 羔羊的脂肪， 巴珊所出的公绵羊和山羊， 和上好的麦子。 你要喝葡萄汁酿的美酒。Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.
15“☛死海古卷、撒玛利亚五经、其他古卷和七十士译本在此加：“雅各吃了而且饱足”。耶书仑渐渐肥胖，能踼跳。 你长得肥胖，粗壮，丰润。 他离弃造他的神， 轻看救他的磐石。But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
16他们用外邦神明惹神妒忌， 以可憎之物惹他发怒。They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
17他们祭祀鬼魔，而非神， 是他们不认识的神明， 是近来新兴的， 是你们列祖所不畏惧的。They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
18你轻忽生你的磐石， 忘记生产你的神。Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
19“耶和华看见了， 因他儿女惹动他就抛弃他们，And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
20说：‘我要转脸离开他们， 看他们的结局如何。 他们是极乖谬的世代， 是不忠实的儿女。And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
21他们以那不是神的激起我妒忌， 以虚无的神明☛“虚无的神明”：原文是“虚无”。惹我发怒。 我要以不成国的激起你们嫉妒， 我要以愚顽的国惹起你们发怒。They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22因为我的怒火焚烧， 直烧到极深的阴间， 吞噬地和地的出产， 连山的根基也烧着了。For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
23“‘我要把祸患堆在他们身上， 我用尽我的箭射向他们：I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
24饿死人的饥荒、 灼人的热症、 痛苦的灾害。 我要叫野兽用牙齿咬他们， 叫土中爬行的用毒液害他们。They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
25外有刀剑使人丧亡， 内有惊恐， 少男少女是如此， 吃奶的、白发的也是如此。The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.
26我曾说，我要粉碎他们， 使他们的名☛“名”：原文是“纪念”。从人间消失。I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
27惟恐仇敌挑衅， 他们的敌人误解， 说，我们的手得胜了， 这一切并非耶和华做的。’Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
28“因为他们是缺乏智谋的国家， 他们里面毫无聪明。For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
29惟愿他们有智慧，能明白这事， 他们就会想到自己的结局。O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
30若非他们的磐石卖了他们， 若非耶和华交出他们， 一人岂能追赶千人， 二人焉能使万人逃跑呢？How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
31甚至我们的仇敌都承认， 他们的磐石不如我们的磐石。For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
32他们的葡萄树是所多玛的葡萄树， 是蛾摩拉田园所长的； 他们的葡萄是毒葡萄， 整串都是苦的。For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
33他们的酒是大蛇的毒液， 是毒蛇剧烈的毒汁。Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
34“这岂不都存放在我这里， 封存在我库房中吗？Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?

38吃了他们祭牲脂肪的， 喝了他们浇酒祭之酒的， 叫那些神明站出来帮助你们， 作为你们的保障吧！Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
39“‘如今，看！我，惟有我是神☛“神”：原文直译“他”。； 我以外并无别神。 我使人死，我使人活； 我击伤人，也医治人， 没有人能从我手中救出来。See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
40我向天举手， 我凭我的永生起誓说：For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
41我若磨我闪亮的刀， 我的手掌握审判权， 就必报复我的敌人， 报应那些恨我的人。If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
42我要使我的箭饮血而醉， 就是被杀被掳之人的血； 我的刀也要吃肉， 就是仇敌披发头颅☛“头颅”或译“领袖”。的肉。’I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
48就在那日，耶和华吩咐摩西说：And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
49“你上摩押地的亚巴琳山脉，到面对耶利哥的尼波山去，看我所要赐给以色列人为业的迦南地。Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:

摩西祝福以色列众支派
这是神人摩西未死以前为以色列人的祝福。
And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

5“耶和华☛“耶和华”：原文是“他”。在耶书仑作王； 百姓的众领袖和以色列各支派一同欢聚。And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.
6愿吕便存活，不致死亡， 虽然他的人丁稀少。Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
7关于犹大，他这么说： ‘耶和华啊，求你垂听犹大的声音， 引导他归回他的百姓中。 他曾用手为自己争战， 你必帮助他攻击敌人。’And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.

13关于约瑟，他说： ‘愿他的地蒙耶和华赐福， 得天上的甘露， 地下的泉源；And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
14得太阳下的美果， 月光中的佳谷；And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
15得古老山岳的至宝， 永恒山岭的宝物；And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
16得地的宝物和其中所充满的， 得住在荆棘中者的喜悦。 愿这些福都临到约瑟的头上， 临到那与兄弟有分别之人的头顶上。And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.

22关于但，他说： ‘但是小狮子， 从巴珊跳出来。’And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
23关于拿弗他利，他说： ‘拿弗他利啊，你享足恩宠， 满得耶和华的福， 可以得西方和南方为业。’And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.
24关于亚设，他说： ‘愿亚设在众子中蒙福☛“愿亚设在众子中蒙福”或译“众子中最蒙福的是亚设”。， 愿他得他弟兄的喜悦， 可以把脚蘸在油中。And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
25你的门闩是铁的，是铜的。 只要你有多少日子，你就有多少力量☛“只要...力量”或译“你的日子如何，你的力量也必如何”。。’Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
26“耶书仑哪，没有谁能比神！ 他腾云，大显威荣， 从天空来帮助你。There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
27亘古的神是避难所， 下面有永久的膀臂。 他从你面前赶走仇敌， 说：‘毁灭吧！’The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
28因此，以色列独自安然居住， 雅各的泉源在五谷新酒之地， 他的天也滴下露水。Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.

摩西的死
摩西从摩押平原登上尼波山，到了耶利哥对面的毗斯迦山顶。耶和华把全地指给他看：从基列到但，
And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
2拿弗他利全地，以法莲、玛拿西的地，犹大全地直到西边的海，And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
3尼革夫，从棕树城耶利哥的平原到琐珥。And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
4耶和华对他说：“这就是我向亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许之地，说：‘我必将这地赐给你的后裔。’现在我使你亲眼看见了，你却不得过到那里去。”And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
5于是耶和华的仆人摩西死在摩押地那里，正如耶和华所说的。So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
6耶和华将他葬在摩押地，伯．毗珥对面的谷中，只是到今日，没有人知道他的坟墓。And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
7摩西死的时候一百二十岁，眼目没有昏花，力量没有衰退。And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
8以色列人在摩押平原为摩西哀哭了三十天，为摩西哀哭居丧的日期才结束。And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
9嫩的儿子约书亚，因为摩西曾为他按手，他就被智慧的灵充满。以色列人听从他，照着耶和华所吩咐摩西的去做。And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
10以后，以色列中再没有兴起一位先知像摩西的，他是耶和华面对面所认识的。And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
11耶和华差派他在埃及地，向法老和他的一切臣仆，以及他的全地，行了各样神迹奇事，In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
12又在以色列众人眼前显出大能的手，行了一切大而可畏的事。And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
