神要保护耶路撒冷
祸哉！那些下埃及求帮助的， 他们仰赖马匹，倚靠甚多的战车， 并倚靠强壮的骑兵， 却不仰望以色列的圣者， 也不求问耶和华。Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
2其实，耶和华有智慧， 他降灾祸， 并不撤回自己的话， 却要兴起攻击作恶之家， 攻击那帮助人作恶的。Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
3埃及人不过是人，并非神， 他们的马不过是血肉，并不是灵。 耶和华一伸手， 那帮助人的必绊跌，受帮助的也必跌倒， 都一同灭亡。Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
4耶和华对我如此说， 狮子和少壮狮子为猎物而咆哮， 许多牧人被召来攻击它， 它总不因他们的声音惊惶， 也不因他们的喧嚷退缩； 万军之耶和华也必如此 降临在锡安的大小山冈上争战。For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
5雀鸟盘旋护卫， 万军之耶和华也必照样保护耶路撒冷； 他必保护拯救， 必逾越而搭救。As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
6以色列人哪，要归向你们严重悖逆的那一位！Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
7到那日，你们各人要抛弃亲手所造、陷自己于罪中的金偶像和银偶像。For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
8亚述必倒在刀下，并非人的刀； 有刀要将它吞灭，并非人的刀。 它要逃避这刀， 它的年轻人必做苦工。Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
9它的磐石必因惊吓而消失， 它的领袖必因大旗惊惶； 这是那有火在锡安、 有炉在耶路撒冷的耶和华说的。And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
