从被掳中归回
耶和华要怜悯雅各，再度拣选以色列，将他们安顿在本地。寄居的必与他们联合，加入雅各家。
For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
2外邦人要将他们带回本地。以色列家必在耶和华的地上得外邦人为仆婢，也要掳掠先前掳掠他们的，辖制先前欺压他们的。And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
巴比伦王下到阴间
3当耶和华使你得享安息，脱离愁苦、烦恼，和被迫做苦工的日子，And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
4你必唱这诗歌嘲讽巴比伦王说： “欺压人的竟然灭亡！ 他的凶暴☛“他的凶暴”是根据死海古卷和古译本；原文是“一堆金子”。竟然止息！That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
5耶和华折断恶人的杖， 打断统治者的权杖；The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
6他们在愤怒中连连攻击万民， 在怒气中辖制列国， 逼迫他们，毫不留情。He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
7现在全地得安息，享平静， 人都出声欢呼。The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
8松树和黎巴嫩的香柏树 都因你欢乐： 自从你仆倒， 再也无人上来砍伐我们。Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
9下面的阴间因你震动， 迎接你的到来； 在世曾为领袖的阴魂为你惊动， 那曾为列国君王的，都从宝座起立。Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
10他们都要发言，对你说： ‘你也变为软弱，像我们一样吗？ 你也成了我们的样子吗？’All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
11你的威严和琴瑟的声音都下到阴间。 你下面铺的是虫，上面盖的是蛆。Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
12“明亮之星，早晨之子啊， 你竟然从天坠落！ 你这攻败列国的，竟然被砍倒在地上！How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13你心里曾说： ‘我要升到天上， 我要高举我的宝座在神的众星之上， 我要坐在会众聚集的山上，在极北的地方。For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14我要升到高云之上， 我要与至高者同等。’I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15然而，你必坠落阴间， 到地府极深之处。Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16凡看见你的都要定睛望你， 留意看你，说： ‘就是这个人吗？ 他使大地颤抖， 使列国震动，They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17使世界如同荒野， 使城镇倾覆； 是他，不释放被掳的人归家。’That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
18列国的君王各自在自己的坟墓中， 在尊荣里长眠。All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
19惟独你被抛弃在你的坟墓之外， 有如被厌恶的枝子☛“枝子”与“尼布甲尼撒”的希伯来话发音相近；原文另译“尸身”。， 被许多用刀刺透杀死的人覆盖着， 一同坠落地府的石头那里， 像被践踏的尸首。But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
20你不得与君王同葬， 因为你毁坏你的国，杀戮你的民。 “恶人的后裔永不留名。Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.
21为了祖先的罪孽， 要预备他子孙的屠宰场， 免得他们兴起，夺得全地， 使城市遍满地面。”神要毁灭巴比伦
Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
22万军之耶和华说： “我必起来攻击他们， 将巴比伦的名号和剩余的人， 连子带孙一并剪除； 这是耶和华说的。For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.
23“我必使巴比伦为豪猪占据， 成为泥沼之地； 我要用灭命的扫帚扫净它； 这是万军之耶和华说的。”神要毁灭亚述
I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.
24万军之耶和华起誓说： “我怎样思想，必照样成就； 我怎样定意，必照样坚立，The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
25要在我的地上击破亚述， 在我的山上将它践踏。 它的轭必离开受压制的人， 它的重担必离开他们的肩头。”That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
26这是向全地所定的旨意， 向万国所伸出的手。This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
27万军之耶和华既然定意，谁能阻挠呢？ 他的手已经伸出，谁能使它缩回呢？For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
神要毁灭非利士
28亚哈斯王崩的那年，有默示如下：In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.
29“全非利士啊， 不要因击打你的杖折断就喜乐。 因为蛇必生出毒蛇， 它所生的是会飞的火蛇。Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
30贫寒人的长子必有得吃； 贫穷人必安然躺卧。 我必以饥荒灭绝你的根， 它☛“它”：死海古卷是“我”。必杀尽你所剩余的人。And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.
31门哪，哀号吧！ 城啊，呼喊吧！ 全非利士都熔化了！ 因为有烟从北方而来， 在它的行伍中没有掉队的。”Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
32当如何回答外邦的使者呢？ “耶和华建立了锡安， 在其中他困苦的百姓必有倚靠。”What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.
