对北国的警告
祸哉！以法莲酒徒高傲的冠冕， 其荣美竟如花凋残； 他们在肥沃的山谷顶上， 被酒击败。Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
2看哪，主有一位大能大力者， 如强烈的冰雹， 如毁灭的暴风雨， 如涨溢的洪水， 他必亲手将他们摔落在地。Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
3以法莲酒徒高傲的冠冕， 必被脚践踏；The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
4那如凋残之花的荣美， 在肥沃的山谷顶上， 必如夏令前初熟的无花果， 让看见的人注意， 摘到手里，随即吞吃。And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
5到那日，万军之耶和华 必成为他余民的荣冠华冕，In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
6成为在位审判者的公平之灵， 和城门口制敌的力量。以赛亚和犹大酒醉的先知
And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
7这些人也因酒摇晃， 因烈酒东倒西歪。 祭司和先知因烈酒摇晃， 被酒所困， 因烈酒东倒西歪。 他们错解默示， 审判时不分是非。But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8筵席上都满了呕吐的污秽， 没有一处干净。For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
9“他要将知识指教谁呢？ 要向谁阐明信息呢？ 是向那些刚断奶的， 离开母亲胸怀的吗？Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10因为他咕哝咕哝，咕哝咕哝， 唠唠叨叨，唠唠叨叨， 这里一点，那里一点。”For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11耶和华要藉嘲弄的嘴唇和外邦人的舌头， 向这百姓说话。For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12他曾对他们说： “这是安歇之所， 你们要使疲乏的人得安歇， 这是歇息之处。” 他们却不肯听。To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13耶和华的话对他们而言是 “咕哝咕哝，咕哝咕哝， 唠唠叨叨， 唠唠叨叨， 这里一点，那里一点”； 以致他们往前行， 却后仰跌倒，甚至跌伤， 落入陷阱，被抓住了。锡安的房角石
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
14因此，你们这些傲慢的人， 就是管辖住耶路撒冷这百姓的， 要听耶和华的话。Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15你们曾说： “我们已与死亡立约， 与阴间结盟， 不可挡的鞭子挥过时， 必不临到我们； 因我们以谎言为避难所， 靠虚假来藏身”；Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16所以，主耶和华如此说： “看哪，我在锡安放一块石头作为根基， 是衡量的石头， 是宝贵的房角石，稳固的根基； 信靠他的人必不致惊恐。Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17我以公平为准绳， 以公义为铅垂线； 冰雹必冲去谎言的避难所， 大水必漫过藏身之处。Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18你们与死亡所立的约必废除， 与阴间所结的盟不得坚立； 不可挡的鞭子挥过时， 你们必被践踏。And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19每逢它挥来，必将你们掳去； 每早晨它必挥过， 白昼黑夜都是如此。 明白这信息的都必惊恐。”From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
20床榻短，人不能伸展； 被子窄，人无从裹身。For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
21耶和华必兴起，像在毗拉心山， 他必发怒，如在基遍谷； 为要做成他的工，就是非常的工， 成就他的事，就是奇异的事。For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
22现在你们不可傲慢， 免得捆绑你们的绳索更结实， 因为我从万军之主耶和华那里听见， 在全地施行灭绝的事已定。神的智慧
Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
23你们当侧耳听我的声音， 留心听我的言语。Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
24那为撒种而耕地的 会不停地耕地，松土，耙地吗？Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
25他铲平了地面， 岂不就种小茴香， 播种大茴香， 按行列种小麦， 在定处种大麦， 在田边种粗麦吗？When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
26他的神教导他， 指导他合宜的方法。For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
27原来打小茴香，不用尖利的器具， 轧大茴香，也不是用车轮； 却要用杖打小茴香， 用棍打大茴香。For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
28谷要打， 但不能持续地捣， 用车轮和马轧， 却不轧碎它。Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
29这也是出于万军之耶和华， 他的谋略奇妙， 他的智慧广大。This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
