巴比伦的偶像
彼勒叩拜，尼波屈身； 巴比伦的偶像驮在走兽和牲畜背上。 你们所抬的成了重驮， 使牲畜疲乏。Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.
2这些神明一同屈身叩拜， 不能救自己☛“自己”或译“重驮”。， 反倒遭人掳去。They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
3雅各家，以色列家所有的余民哪， 你们自从生下就蒙我抱， 自出母胎便由我来背， 你们都要听从我。Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
4直到你们年老，我不改变； 直到你们发白，我仍扶持。 我已造你，就必背你； 我必抱你，也必拯救。And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
5你们将谁与我相比，与我相等， 将谁与我相较，使我们相似呢？To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6他们从钱囊中倒出金子， 用天平秤出银子， 雇银匠造成神像， 他们又俯伏，又叩拜。They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7他们抬起神像，扛在肩上， 安置在定处，使它站立， 不离本位； 人呼求它，它却不回答， 也无法救人脱离灾难。They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8你们当记得这事，立定心意☛“立定心意”或译“自己做大丈夫”。。 叛逆的人哪，要留心思想。Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9要追念上古的事， 因为我是神，并无别的； 我是神，没有能与我相比的。Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10我从起初就指明末后的事， 从古时便言明未成的事， 说：“我的筹算必立定； 凡我所喜悦的，我必成就。”Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11我召鸷鸟从东方来， 召那成就我筹算的人从远方来。 我已说出，就必成就； 我已谋定，也必做成。Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12你们这些心中顽固、 远离公义的人，要听从我。Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
13我使我的公义临近，它已不远。 我的救恩必不迟延。 我要为以色列－我的荣耀 在锡安施行救恩。I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
