Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
2为要扭曲贫寒人的案件， 夺去我民中困苦人的理， 以寡妇当作掳物， 以孤儿当作掠物。To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
3到降罚的日子，灾祸从远方临到， 那时，你们要怎么办呢？ 你们要向谁逃奔求救呢？ 你们的财宝要存放何处呢？And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
4他们只得屈身在被掳的人之下， 仆倒在被杀的人中间☛“他们...中间”或译“那些不愿屈身被掳的人，将仆倒在被杀的人中间”。。 虽然如此，耶和华的怒气并未转消； 他的手依然伸出。神用亚述王为工具
Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
5祸哉！亚述，我怒气的棍！ 他们手中的杖是我的恼恨。O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
6我要差遣他攻击亵渎的国， 吩咐他对付我所恼怒的民， 抢走掳物，夺取掠物， 将他们践踏，如同街上的泥土一般。I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7然而，这并非他的意念， 他的心不是这样打算； 他的心要摧毁， 要剪除不少的国家。Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
8他说：“我的官长岂不都是君王吗？For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?
9迦勒挪岂不像迦基米施吗？ 哈马岂不像亚珥拔吗？ 撒玛利亚岂不像大马士革吗？Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
10既然我的手已伸到了这些有偶像的国， 他们所雕刻的偶像 过于耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的偶像，As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
11我岂不照样待耶路撒冷和其中的偶像， 如同我待撒玛利亚和其中的偶像吗？”Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
12主在锡安山和耶路撒冷成就他一切工作的时候，说：“我必惩罚亚述王自大的心和他高傲尊贵的眼目。”Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
13因为他说： “我所成就的事是靠我手的能力 和我的智慧， 因为我本有聪明。 我挪移列国的地界， 抢夺他们所积蓄的财宝， 并且像勇士，使坐宝座的降为卑。For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
14我的手夺取列国的财宝， 好像人夺取鸟窝； 我得了全地， 好像人拾起被弃的鸟蛋； 没有振动翅膀的， 没有张嘴的，也没有鸣叫的。”And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
15斧岂可向用斧砍伐的自夸呢？ 锯岂可向拉锯的自大呢？ 这好比棍挥动那举棍的， 好比杖举起那不是木头的人。Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
16因此，主－万军之耶和华 必使亚述王的壮士变为瘦弱， 在他的荣华之下必有火点燃， 如同火在燃烧一般。Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
17以色列的光必变成火， 它的圣者必成为火焰； 一日之间，将亚述王的荆棘和蒺藜焚烧净尽，And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
18又毁灭树林和田园的荣华， 连魂带体，好像病重的人消逝☛“病重的人消逝”或译“拿军旗的昏过去”。一样。And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.
19他林中只剩下稀少的树木， 连孩童也能写其数目。And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
残存之民归回
20到那日，以色列所剩下的和雅各家所逃脱的，必不再倚靠那击打他们的，却要诚心仰赖耶和华－以色列的圣者。And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21所剩下的，就是雅各家的余民，必归回全能的神。The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
22以色列啊，你的百姓虽多如海沙，惟有剩下的归回。灭绝之事已成定局，公义必如水涨溢。For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
23因为万军之主耶和华在全地必成就所定的灭绝之事。For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
耶和华要惩罚亚述
24所以，万军之主耶和华如此说：“住锡安我的百姓啊，亚述王虽然用棍击打你，又如埃及举杖攻击你，你不要怕他。Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
25因为还有一点点时候，我向你们发的愤怒就要结束，我的怒气要使他们灭亡。For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
26万军之耶和华要举起鞭子来攻击他，好像在俄立磐石那里击打米甸人一样。他的杖向海伸出，他必把杖举起，如在埃及一般。And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
27到那日，亚述王的重担必离开你的肩头，他的轭必离开你的颈项；那轭必因肥壮而撑断☛“他的轭...撑断”：七十士译本是“他的轭必折断离开你的颈项”。。”侵略者进攻
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
28亚述王来到亚叶， 经过米矶仑， 在密抹安放辎重。He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
29他们过了隘口， 要在迦巴住宿。 拉玛战兢， 扫罗的基比亚逃命。They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
30迦琳☛“迦琳”：原文直译“迦琳女子”。哪，要高声呼喊！ 注意听，莱煞啊！ 困苦的亚拿突啊☛“困苦的亚拿突啊”：原文另译“回应他，亚拿突啊”。！Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
31玛得米那躲避， 基柄的居民逃遁。Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.
32当那日，亚述王要在挪伯停留， 挥手攻击锡安☛“锡安”：原文直译“锡安女子”。的山， 就是耶路撒冷的山。As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33看哪，主－万军之耶和华 以猛撞削断树枝； 巨木必被砍下， 高大的树必降为低。Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
34稠密的树林，他要用铁器砍下， 黎巴嫩必被大能者伐倒☛“黎巴嫩必被大能者伐倒”或译“黎巴嫩的荣华必倾倒”。。And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
